Not when they eat plants!

Slugs dont have preditors but they are caniblistic.
I steped on a Banana Slug 6 inches long.
Kind of pretty actually with a speckled collar.
ANYWAY it was on the sidewalk and I mistook it for a stick.
An hour later there were 6 smaller gold colored slugs on it devouring it.
I salted every one.
I learned about the amonia yesterday.

Oh yes I have noticed that too GE. Now after doing the slug check I end with where I smushed the little dears and sure enough there is almost always one or two there checking out the bodies.

everyone has some great looking yards.... and Ge next lesson is how to flip the photo

;)

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

I don't think I ever lost a white Liatris, what happened Kassia. Last night's wind and rain (2+ inches) knocked down my best Dahlia 'Bishops Children', it is 4 ft tall. They grow fast with all the moisture.
The storm knocked down lots of stuff.

Andy, I got liatris the first year I started planting - 6 white and 6 purple from Nature Hill ... strange like I remember few things! anyway I have already divided the purple ones last spring.... but the white ones never made it... I have to get some more...
yesterday my dahlias took a beating also... I had to cut some and put inside ... home some more will come.

my beans have been eaten by deer... can't believe they ate only the beans and nothing else... most strange... hope they don't come back for anything else!
