Good morning everyone! Love the water lillies...

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Hi Mittsy! sorry about the Iris bed.
Is Cicero near Mexico? Used to go that way to the 1000 Islands

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Just checked to see if there were anymore photos.
Nothing has changed except the deer got me again, only 10 days after tha last ap. of Liquid Fence.
Guess they do get used to it.
I used "Repells-all" and hope they leave enough daylily buds to have a decent display.
I'm hurting for blooms here in these new gardens.

Cocoa Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

We have a woodchuck that climbs the steps to our deck and eats anything and everything that is close to being ripe. If you open the patio door to scare him away, he just sits there and growls at you.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I had 1 in the city ,it ate all the begonias on the border of the flower bed.
No space for vedgs. squirrls eat cherry toms on the deck, they also break off the tom stems. It hardly is worth while.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

nice shots allison - i liked that love shack bird house - have printed it out and will build something similiar this winter - is the hlws branch supposed to be smoke from the chimmney? Or is it just background? It will be smoke here i think

Thomaston, CT

Hi mittsy, nice ensata & water lilies! Wish I had a water feature or a fountain---maybe after my diggy airedale has gone over the rainbow bridge!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice, Mittsy. Sorry about your troubles. I just found lots of DL buds munched by the deer. Always my favorites too. They never seem to bother with Stella d'Oro.

Here's a survivor.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Awesome shots, everyone!!

I am especially liking all the water lily shots!

Sad news about the bed damage, Mittsy, and even sadder, the attack by the limb crew! Great photos of your water lilies.

Here is a shot of where I am thinking about planting the Mathilda Gütges, on the edge of the pond. Should get about 5 hours or more of overhead sunlight, there.

Very nice serrata .... could it be 'Shichidanka'

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No. I would know the name if I saw it. Not on FW's site now.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I saw 'Shichidanka' at heron's wood and then saw your pic of it and thought they looked similar.

Nice, either way!

J I Greywoods Persian Dusk. The rain beat them pretty good, and pond is overflowing, again.

I don't know what rose it is, I saved it from my neighbors, they thought it was dead.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Victor! I have added that to the list!

You're welcome, Will.

Thanks Jen.

Thanks, Allison.

Great pics, everyone!

Celeste, I love that Pink Pixie Asiatic lily of yours. Does it get many flowers? And, of course, I love the Pam's Choice foxglove. I love any kind of foxglove, actually. Your little blue irises that are growing wild look like crested iris.

I love your lamb's ears, Bill! Very nice. I have it, too, and it's one of my favorite plants. Very touchable! I'm having the same problem you are with the hardy hibiscus. I haven't had a chance to spray yet, but I will get getting them tomorrow after work. Watch out!

Victor, that blue and yellow Jap Iris of yours is gorgeous! I like the DL near your pond. Nice color on that one! I love your pink DL, and the close-up of the waterlily is fantastic. Love that shot of your Autumn Moon.

Allison, your fairy house and Love Shack are adorable! You have some nice coleus. Did you get those from the Rosy Dawn co-op? I got so many that I haven't even had time to plant them all yet.

Jo Anne, I don't know if you remember me mentioning this before, but last year the deer came to my place one night at the end of July and ate up thousands of DL buds off of hundreds of plants. It was devastating, and I wanted to cry. They also munched on other things throughout the spring, summer and fall here, especially my hostas. So far they haven't touched a thing here this year, and I'm hoping it will stay that way. I have sprayed the Liquid Fence here twice, but with all the rain we've had, I would think much of it would be washed away, so I don't know if that's what's keeping them away. Maybe hunters got the ones that feasted here last year or perhaps they've just been finding plenty to eat elsewhere. Anyhow, I'm going to try a different repellent next time I spray, as they do get used to it if you use the same thing all the time. I have been told you really have to switch around a lot. This time I will find something to spray on the plants they will make them taste bad.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, Mittsy. Hope it gets better.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

thanks Karen...some are from RD... some from NC farms... and some from last year... might as well stick your stragglers in a container you can bring in

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

They are all in 1 qt. pots, but need to be potted in larger containers. If it gets really hot with little rain later this summer, I will have a lot of watering to do!

Here are some pics from today and yesterday.
