karen and meredith very nice

my daylilies are only lasting a day except for stella and the tiger lillie's.

i had that mallow and grew it from seed from the parent plant - looks the same and was a big as yours - i found they self seeded so much i pulled them out. and they also tended to flop when they got that size.

Red Mittens. Cloudy this morn, so the flash decided to go off.

Thanks Wha that's good to know. It's funny because I can hardly get the seeds to germinate and there are only about 4 volunteers near the mother plant. They don't seem very big, they were very small seedlings last year. It's been there for 3 years, and I thought they are short lived, so I am wondering if this will be it's last year.
One wish, make sure you get a larger plant of the Indian Pinks, they are very sloow to grow. I had bought two sizes three years ago and the smaller size one is only 3 branches. I haven't had luck with starting the seeds yet. They are really hard to collect so last year was the first year I tried. They didn't germinate for me though, with winter sowing.

Mittsy - so sorry about your frustrating events! Love those water lilies!!

Jen - gorgeous rose shot!

Bill - cool fire pit!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

thx - it is backed by a rock wall (surprised i know) and tall burning bushes very private and looks into the wetlands/woods - its even better with a blaze and a cold beverage or two :)

joann i will check to see if the tag is still there and report back

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

or two!

Here's something I was toying with today, since it's been raining a bit, of course.

Getting bored of the frosted window covering on the bathroom window and thought "Hey! I can put a picture there and turn it into a light box!!"

So, here is a shot of what it would look like if you put your favorite picture on your bathroom window for privacy, rather than those common, old frosted thingies!

A taller shot from farther back.

I am still tinkering with the idea, as far as material goes. This print media is rather opaque, and might be a bit dark for my liking.

I am going to try it on some clear media.

and this is a garden photo :)

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

But, of course!

I have done businesses walls with light boxes that look like windows looking outside. They finished them off with curtains, and everything. An interesting, space expanding effect.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Everything looks so good!
Victor how tall does that snow queen oak leaf get?
Willie, LOVE that light box.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice shots, Robin and Bill. I like that dark DL, Robin.

Cool effect, Will. I thought about the light too. How about a brighter pic?

Jen - so far, it's about 5 1/2 feet. I think it gets 6-8 feet, though I will prune it smaller.
