Meredith, I like your rose campion and mallow. I have and love that mallow, too. Very nice and so care free!
Bill, you mentioned your DL's are only lasting a day. They are supposed to last only a day, hence the name daylily. But they usually have plenty of buds and will bloom 3 or 4 weeks or so, depending on the variety. Oh, and the ones you're calling 'tigers' in front of the fire pit, those are actually a species type of daylily called Hemerocallis fulva, common orange daylilies or often referred to as ditch lilies. True tiger lilies bloom in late July/early August, and are related to Asiatic and Oriental lilies. They also get eaten by those red lily beetles, but the DL's don't get eaten by them. The DL's get eaten by the deer, unfortunately.
