Morning girls !!!

Well... yesterday was fun for Mike... I was miserable.
Dropped Don off around 2pm at the ballpark, and Mike and I went to the new mall in Arlington. I'd never been there before, and found it wonderfully magical... but, I stepped on my foot wrong before we got there, and my ankle was hurting... so, walking was difficult. Mike had to buy a few things to take home with him, and I did seem to keep up with him. We ate a late lunch/early dinner at the food court at the mall before we left. On the way back to the ballpark, we stopped by the new Cowboy stadium for Mike to take pictures... I waited in the air conditioned car. That new stadium is HUGE... and he walked all the way around it.
Then we went to the Ranger's Ballpark where Don bought our tickets to sit on the east side of the park, facing west... game started at 7pm, and the sun didn't set till 8pm. It was one hundred and eight degrees there... and the sweat was squirting out of me. I was soooo drenched... but, Mike took it all in stride. I kept wet paper towels from the ladies room with me to cool me down, and I bet we each drank a gallon of water... one $4 bottle at a time.
The Rangers lost 7 -3.
I told him if he ever wants to come back to see another baseball game, we will HAVE to go in April when the season opens and it cooler.

All that heat drained all my energy, and when Don got us home we all headed straight for bed... and I slept like a baby... and my ankle doesn't hurt this morning.

got the cell phone bills yesterday and come to find out the step son hasn't paid anything on it since sometime in may and then it was only 70 ..since it is a sub account off of mine that means I am going to have to pay it off along with paying our bill.
Told DH about it and he wasn't happy but he has yet to call his son and talk to him about it or the car business
He hasn't been home but one time since the week I was at BJ's and that was only to take a shower and get clothes and leave....things just might get hot here as DH and I really need to do some talking and get this decided on...SIGH

well best get busy with things instead of putting them off

Morning Ladies,

It is finally starting to feel like summer here. In the low 90's. Got up this moring and got in the hot tub. Been doing too much sitting around sewing and playing Dominoes. Mom and I took a walk downtown,lol. A feed store, small market,bank, and and a quilting store (she was closed :( ). So many pretty flowers all around here, lots of Clemtis. Walked past this one house that has some unusal plants. Sissy and I are going to go back to it and ask the peeps if I can get some seeds. Today we are being lazy, more sewing and games. But tomarrow we are going into Washington againg. This time I will take my camera to take pix of the human size frog statues. They are neat.

All of the flowers are so pretty. I'm missing out on mine blooming, but my cousin is taking pix for me as they are all new flowers I got in co-ops. My hometown is having triple digit weather thus far, but is supposed to cool back down before we go home.

Gotta go waffles are ready......TTYL ^_^

Don just found a box on the porch (from yesterday's mail, I suppose). It was from Marion... I LOVE IT.
She sent me "bling bling" to wear when driving the red hot chili pepper... too funny. One for me, and one for the passenger (well, like she said in the note, maybe not Don)
She sent me two pair of glittery loop ear rings... two pair of sun glasses, one with animal print frames, the other in bright red frames... and two long scarfs that will blow in the wind with the top down... this is too fun.

You're such a cool sistah, Marion... I LOVE YOU.

Well, I finally heard from my "next year" exchange student.

Meet Inaluk Jacobsen from Nuuk, Greenland
From the expressions on her face in all the pictures she sent, I have a feeling I'm going to have my hands full with this one.

Inaluk is the one with her hair pulled back, without sun glasses on.
The other girl is her best friend.

"Sometimes I feel like a nut---Sometimes I don't" well you know the Almond Joy song I am sure. BJ when I saw those things they just "yelled" at me to get them for you and the red hot chili pepper. Actually I was thinking maybe Phyllis rather than Don!!! Of course, if he want to try them it is his choice. LOL Red things are for the driver!!!

I can oh so feel the sweat you described. I am glad Mike got to see a ballgame and had a good time. Looks like Inaluck will be fun to have around to me.

Phyllis, how is my puppy? I assume the baskets are the ones for your daughter's wedding--when is the date again? Wish I was closer as I would love to help you but alas it is a little to far right now and besides, I am going to treat myself to another trip this year.

The flowers everyone has posted are so wonderful. My next door neighbor will be having 3 large trees taken out very soon so I might get lucky and have some more areas for plants requiring sun. They are a serious threat to both of our house especially with hurricane season here. The one closes in hollow up the center and the others have large areas of decay.

Humidity really high today and rain predicted so I think I will make it an inside day. Besides my yard man comes Tuesday and I will let him do some of the work I had planned to do. Still not sure it is a good idea for me to be digging even with gloves on. I need the hand healed completely.

ROFL YES I DO know that song...I love mounds..... Oh my someone take a picture and show me what was sent ...I'm sure I am going to have to go over and cheer BJ up once Mike is gone and heaven forbid help her get motivated for the cushions again LOL
And miss mIllie is doing fine ...full of energy at times yet takes a nap with hubby everyday too LOL

Shelly's wedding is Sept 5th here and yes it is the baskets for the wedding have all the side pieces together now and just have to sew the bottom into them.
My youngest niece just called and was telling me how my brothers wife was talking to my mom and saying how the image at the top of the invites was inappropriate ...see image below...Nicole reminded my mother that this is Shelly's wedding and it is right on track as to what she is like and the things she likes
I have decided that if my mother happens to say anythign to me on any of it I will have to kindly remind her that this is Shelly's wedding and it is going to be the way Shelly and Bret choose it to be.
I already have gone over here on the fact that instead of gifts they are requesting that you purchase something for the honeymoon as they both have been on their own awhile and don't really need anything

I can't, for the life of me, find what someone would find inappropriate with that wedding invitation... it's lovely, IMHO.

I don't need to be motivated, Phyllis... I do want to get it done... BUT, if you can do something about this heat, so I can get out on the sun porch to get them done... then maybe they'll get done this summer... but if not, it'll be this fall, or winter... I'm just not getting out there when the "sun porch" temps get around 112*, when it's 105*+ outside.

I just might need that cheering up after Mike leaves, though. It's gonna get really really quiet at my house for a while after he's gone.

Hi Judy, I look at the lake and so wish it was clean enough to swim in but alas it is not. Besides the newest resident is a little in intimidating to say the least. Just don't see myself paddling around with an 8' gator. Also the HOA has had an airboat out the last 2 days cleaning and spraying some weed/grass that is starting to take a huge hold on the lake. Talk about a shock, waking up to the sound of an airboat when you know boats with motors aren't allowed.

Where is everyone today. I know Jaye and Kel are visiting his uncle but where is everyone else.

What has happened to Tinky? I am missing her a great deal and really worried about her. Tink.....check in please niece!!!

Sorry I went mia but its been a long weekend.. Saturday was slammed up busy at work and my step mom called me about a family reuninion on her side that was this morning.. Always nice to get less than 24 hours notice.. Have been running non stop and Im ssooooooo tried... To top i toff this week we are short one barber which will be great for the bills but not for the rest .. No rest for the wicked... We are working mon- wed and friday then closed for a week for the shops annal vacation.. That will be nice to have time off and I have several outings planned but whew I really could use going to work for the money to pay the rent.. O well it will all work out somehow -- it always does..

Well I beter run for now but will catch up tomorrow night whie Max is working..

Phyliss, I loved the top of the wedding announcement, although you knew I would. I gave Chris and Stacey pewter loving cups just like that for their wedding and no one thought it was inappropriate. They used them for their first toast together.

Sounds like you all in the South are having really hight temps. We had a few days with 90's but now are back to Michigan summer with sun and temps in the 70's. I love this weather!! Had a great time on your deck in May, BJ, but you want have you July even!

I am being lazy today. First day I can think of that I have nothing to do and nothing planned. I may plant a few annuals; bought yesterday and my first of the season. Yes, I know I am late, late, late. I may go and buy some fabaric for one of the swaps, that is always fun (and expensive). I may just sit on my a** and do nothing! Sounds good to me.

Where is everyone this morning???? Why haven't I seen Synda post is she not feeling too good.
I'm so missing my flowers. My cousin has been taking care of our yard it has been in the triple digits for the past two days and then again today. She said that everyday there are more flowers bloomed out boo hoo :(. Next year Sissy is coming down to our house. This drive is just too hard on me 11 hours is way too long. I told mom the next time we come we will do it in two days.

Well gotta hit the shower we are heading into Washington to Wally World need some things to finish my sewing.

LOL I read all your posts from the other thread and this one and forgot to post! It's Monday, right?? I'm just stressing about the annual family reunion I'm drug into every year, it's Dave's family and they're real nice but I miss my fireworks. We have it at Lake Ouachita, I think the biggest lake in AR, and they don't allow fireworks in that county like they do in mine so I don't get any anymore. Dave's Uncle Roy is flying in tomorrow from Sunnyvale/San Jose, CA. I'm at work and don't have much to work on, I'm all caught up lol lol lol!!!
