This peacock saw us coming with our picnic lunch, and almost ran to meet us at the table.

That's all the pics... aren't you glad?
Now, I'm taking the kids out on the jet skis before having to take Katy back to her host family in Tyler...
Everyone have a great day...
Cute kitty, Cody...

Wow Bj what great photos.. You had a very scenic trip I hope I am able to get out like taht again soon..
lil boots is sooo cute!
Mocha is growing up fast too.. I remember the pictures from when mocha arrived...
Well Max is up and wants to check his mail..
Be back later
Huggs to all
Donna
Looks like a wonderful trip BJ, but we're glad you're back, we've missed ya!
Cody the babies are looking great.
It's going to be a fun day...not. Getting ready to leave for MIL's to get a start on her "weed haven".... it is a... little cloudy, a little sunny...with wind....my allergies are giving me fits this morning....as is my back...may be a short day today.
Have to run, talk to everyone later...
Ooh hate to read about another problem for Todd, LK. Poor man is already suffering with his bland diet.. now a physical pain on his knee.
Perhaps you both could have the surgery at the same time.. nope, that don't work.. you need one to drive..
Looks like a weed to me too LK. Use gloves before you pull it out.
Take care LK.
Be careful with planting blackberries Donna. They are very invasive here. Kel won't let me pull out a solitary blackberry briar 7 years ago. Now they're cropping all over a corner of the garden and poor man regretted he let that briar lives.
Thanks for sharing your trip with us BJ. I have heard about New Braunfels and they say it's like an old German town. Yep I can visualise Michael chowing down on home cooked food... was there an accordionist there too playing some polka music :D
Those animals there are so tame! You think that bird might be a Rhea? A Rhea is a cousin of the ostrich.
Maybe your sister will surprise you with a beautiful painting.
Welcome home sistah!
Cody, Mocha has certainly grown some. Boots is too cute. Merlin and Dallas both have all white paws, just like Boots.
Hi, Phyllis. Nice to see you sistah!
Synda, I love your bee balm. Think I might have to get that color!
I do have bee balms blooming in the garden right now, and the blooms are lavender.
Sandra from Mid South gave me one plant.. and it has multiplied this year. I love the scent.
When I think I can play longer here..
As I got through typing and posting that. Kel called to let me know that Murdock's younger brother, Ronald, needs your prayers.
Ronald is diabetic, with emphesyma and he's receiving dialysis. This morning to relieve his breathing.. some form of surgery was done, and the surgeon accidentally cut something up.. in his throat. Got it stitched up, but 'they' say he is in critical condition.
Please say a prayer for him.
You ladies have been such wonderful prayer warriors.
Got to run.. I am glad I got this little time to spend with you all.
Jaye I will definately pray for Ronald. Please remind Murdock that God can do anything, just ask, and ask that His will be done whatever that may be.
My dear DG friends I love you, God loves you more!
Hehehehe.. Faye.. we are sistahs to you now!!!
Don't you just love us all!!! Lol!!! Yep.. yep.. I certainly love each and everyone here.. whether they post regularly, erratically, or hardly!!
You should have been at the gathering at BJ's. Here we are, never met each other (except for a few) and we all 'gel'. I'm telling you, that is God at work. When you don't have a choice on the family you're born into.. somehow, He gifts us with wonderful friends like these.
For this, I give thanks to Him everyday, if not, I'll be living like a hermit. Oh well.. I do live like a hermit, but a happy hermit!!
Mercifully, I'm given some 'free' time. Took some pictures in the garden on what are blooming today. More asiatics are in bloom and their fragrance wafting in slight breeze is heavenly indeed.
Jaye, so sorry to hear of "Docks" brother having problems. I thought all the bad Dr.'s were here in Texas? LOL We will be praying for him, and all the others that need them!
We are off to see Todd's Dr. for a follow up on his blood levels. Pleae pray that all is well, and he won't need anymore blood transfusions?
Bj, looks like you had a great time!
I did not know you owned a cabin in New Braunfels! It is so pretty up there.
Later
LK
LOL... LK, we don't own a cabin in New Braunfels... we just rented it for 2 nights... sheesh... we have enough to keep up with at the one we live in...
Jaye... I loved having you all here ... tell Kel, that he's welcome to bring you back here anytime you can come...
Yep... we all seemed to gel nicely together. Was as if we had been friends forever.
Well... I got Katy back to her host family safely... and now tomorrow is her birthday, and we'll be going there to help her celebrate. Her host family is throwing her a "4th of July" birthday party, since the exchange students all start home on June 29th, and will miss our 4th celebrations. They've invited all the East Texas exchange students to come... will be really nice.
Katy is a neat kid.. and quite intelligent, and talented... I really enjoyed spending the last few days with her.
Then, on Saturday I guess Don got baseball tickets for Mike to see a real professional baseball game at Ranger Stadium.
On Sunday, he'll try to stuff all his stuff in 2 suitcases... gonna be tight, but he thinks he can do it.
Then, Monday, we take him to Canton for his last orientation, and bus trip to Houston to begin his return flight back home.
Sheesh... this is hard... I'm so sad that it is ending... seems like he just got here, and now it's time to say goodbye...
BJ I wanna go now! How fun!! Thanks for sharing the pics.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful!
I would love to have the Tiger Lily all over my yard...gran used to have them and I love them!
Prayers for Ronald, Todd and all of us.
Spent two hours at MIL's and finished up everything she asked us to do today (except poison things)...I would rather dig it out than dump on chemicals.....but we were already at our time limit so maybe she will be happy without the bad stuff when she gets a look at it...we will see.
NOW the sun goes away and the clouds come in...maybe I will get a bit of my own stuff done before time for the swimming lessons taxi....or maybe I will just take a nap.
Blackberries are EVIL things.
Jaye I'm so sorry about your BIL, like the surgery isn't hard enough on him in the first place, then to have "shaky hands" behind the knife. Bad drs are everywhere!
BJ, will you please give Mike, Texas size hugs for Kel and I. He is truly a gem!! You and Don got lucky with him!! Will he be wearing his Tx hat on the plane? I bet he'll greet his family with a "Yee Haaww"!!!
Yah Trisha, I agree.. blackberries are better off grown elsewhere!!!
Rest sistah!
Crissy, Ronald is Kel's uncle.
I believe in prayers. If God decides he survive this, he will.
Those two brothers are so different. Murdock is God fearing, hardworking and a very responsible parent. But God doesn't have any favorites. He loves us all. So true Faye.
Sending Prayers to Dock,his Brother,Kel,You Jaye.......And Family.
BJ your trip looks awesome, will you foster me as an exchange next summer?????????? Any student or company you get are very lucky to have you and Don !!!!!
Linda Kay prayers for you and Todd.......Rick has had trouble and surgery on his knees and I know from seeing him in pain, you all make me hurt!!!
I love ya all so much....I hate to see any of you or your loved ones hurting.
BJ how is your DGD?????
Jaye so many beauties!!! If you want I can save you some seed heads from the Bee Balm aka Wild Bergamot.I love those freebies along the road.Rick laughs at me cause I carry a shovel in the trunk of my car.
It has been sooooooo hot here for days in the 90's,with very high humidity in the high 60 %,can hardy even breath today.I refuse to put the air conditioners in,the cost would put the eletric bill up.Supposed to be cooler next week. And it cools down pretty good at night with fans running in a couple of windows and the house stays cool til about 3 pm.Our exterior walls are a foot thick.
I love the Red Yarrow to........
Hi Donna, thanks, she is still tiny and might have made it to 2lb mark. Her bark makes up for her size. She is my big great dane lol!!!!!!!!!!.I will have her fixed on the 9th and i will get her back on the 10th.She is too tiny to fit in a diaper they fall off of her.
Thanks,Trisha and Jaye, well ladies i will talk to you all later.I'm going to mow some.
Hi All and extra prayers going out tonight fo rthose in need..
Jaye will keep an eye on that black berry.. Im not sure where its going yet but trying to figure it out.. Max giggled when he saw your post about them taking over.. lol I cant stop thinking fresh pies.. yummmmm
Flowers are so pretty.. Love the pictures..
this is what Max and I were up to today afte rhe got his relaxing time in.. Still need some more goodies but we have 3 empty rows left in the garden...
Synda, thank you for telling me they are Wild Bergamot! I love bergamot tea. So I googled on the wild ones.. and YES, I can make tea using the leaves. In fact, it's recommended for colds! Will you please save your red bergamot seeds for me? This is the first blooms I had, so I'll definitely try to keep an eye for their seeds.
Seen yellow yarrows around here.. but not red.
I am so ashame of myself. Trisha, I can't swim :( Never could master floating. Too tense.
Donna, just be careful. Train them in an area where you have no intentions of growing anything else!
Poor Bella... let her out!!! So what veges are you growing Farmer Donna?
Good luck on the renovations. I hope you get them.
We have to get up at earlier than usual in the morning. So, I'll bid all a good night's rest and of course, I'll be praying for all of us, our families.. loved ones.. We all need good prayers!
Good night ladies. Cody, don't stay up too late!
LOL Jaye your so cute.. Today is Bellas first day in the kennel.. She broke 2 pieces off the fence (PVC) and then figured out she can jump over it.. We had her on a chain while we were not outside with her but its just not as nice as this will be for her.. We are putting straw in the bottm and black shade netting across the top so when shes in heat we wont have to worry about a male dog getting in the yard.. Pitful looking isnt she.. lol
As for teh garden.. I have 5 tomato, 4 hot pepper, 4 green bell pepper, 2 strawberry. 2 pumpkin and 1 mint so far.. lol I planted a row of onoins too but I dont know what else yet.. Th eberry bush is getting its own corner of the yard in the back and the only other plants are tree roots in teh area so we shoul dbe okay.. We have been trimming the trees back and are planning on cutting a few down but the chainsaw keeps giving up on us.. Max even has a tree job after we get it back up and running for another neighbor.. I have found out who our gardeners are around here already..
Well I better get my butt ready for bed as I have work in teh mornng..
Huggs
Donna
Good morning all.
Coffee is on, breakfast bar includes omellettes with mushrooms, onions, bell peppers and corned beef! Yum-yum!
Those not watching their waistlines... a bowl of melted cheese on the side. There are also buttered English muffins, wheat toasts and fresh blueberries.. fresh from my garden.
Donna, for certain you will have a great harvest! My veges this year is limited to tomatoes and eggplants.. fruit: just the cantaloupe... herb: one Thai basil. I am glad they are few, cause now I don't have the time for more.
Have a wonderful Friday everyone! Off to work!

Jaye, be very grateful for PET scans. It was one that found Norm's spot on the lung. He has basically recovered fully from the surgery and after another scan last week is now declared cancer free. He will get a scan every three months to keep on top of things. I'm so grateful to everyyne here on DG that said prayers for him and now ours go out to all of you in need. We will continue to keep Dock and Ronald in our prayers. Please let me know how they are doing.. God Bless...
