Hello All,
Seed are those Green cheeks conurs? They are beautiful... I use to have them also.. I have a peach front conure now...
Well ladies once again I am saying sorry I have not been around... We have had alot of rain and very humid weather and now just the hot weather and humidy... All my flower beds are full with weeds and they were clean as a whistle. So trying to get them back again and then I have Plumerias that needed tending to and I have around 70 or so of them... I also have been in my spare time reading the twilight series and now am listening to the audio tapes of it... I love to be read to...LOL
I hope you all are well having a great summer. Please don't think I don't think of you all often as I do, but don't have allot of computer time at this time of year.... So I keep you all in my prayers at night.....
Our anniversery is this weekend and it is 34 years... Can't believe it has been that long... Well I think I will keep him...
Ok going to post on another forum that more then likely thinks I am dead also...LOL
Hugs to all,
Susan

BJ your trip sounds so exciting and thanks for sharing the pics.
Jaye, that orange Spider plant may be invasive but it is beautiful, i love it and all your other blooms. I got new Day Lilies sunday after church and went to a different place yesterday and got 11 more. Those I got yesterday were only 3.00 / 2 fans because she had lost the ID's. Most of the lilies I planted last year that I so carefully taged with ID's, is my baby Snese didn't pull up the markers, the rain washed the writing off...no matter , the blooms are just as pretty. If God didn't love everyone, there is no way He would me. As everyone else, I have never done and cannot do anything to DESERVE the love of God. He gives it freely, just ask!
Skittles is adoreable...
Boy do I have addictions..(sp).first I discovered TtT, loved it, tried it and hooked. Then another form where I saw the most beautiful blooms...here comes the Brugs. gotta have some, let new friends know that I had none, and now I have 20 + living and doing great...HOOKED.
And the best topper in addactions is you dear sweet ladies that I can pour my heart out to and you still call me "Sista" Love you all...my favorite addaction. (sp)

Trisha is that you in the water? No way...that looks like it would have to be Zhinu. Pretty and young....LOL now I'm not saying that you are old, but that swimmer looks like a child. My compliments of course.
LOL..long winded today..sorry.

Hello Faye.. I dont think we have met since Ive been MIA but welcome to the loving board that I call family..

Well Im off on lunch and Trina asked me o come home so she could see me before she ges home for a few days.. She is havin some homesickness and is missing her mom and sister so shes gonna go home for a few days.. She said shes comming back for teh fourth and can you believe she thought we would be mad at her for wanting to call her mom and go home.. I felt so bad she was crying for 2 hours last night worried we would be mad.. It took some talk, tickling and a bit of tie but we had her smiling before she finally went to bed and she asked me to tuck her in instead of her dad.. I love those girls and am sad to ee her go but I know shes comming back..

Well I better run for now

I'm back.... just for a few.
It's blazing hot out there!! Kim dahlin'.. I do hope your boss provide Gatorade or any mineral drinks for you and your crew. I know you won't melt.. but all that heat will deplete your minerals. Another trick when it gets unbearable is to wrap your neck with a cold compress or cool wet towel. Take care please.
I still haven't decide what to send you, but I'm thinking of sending you some brug cuttings in the fall or if you want, daylilies. I'll make sure the daylilies are the ones suitable for your zone... not the evergreens.
So, tell me what you would like to have.

Happy Anniversary Susan!! Hope your DH takes you out to a nice restaurant and surprise you with something YOU want.. like maybe some bling-bling!
Wow!!! That's too many plumerias for me. I have about 10, and hate hauling them in the wintertime, in those big pots!!! So, do you have a green house for them?
I understand completely how summer can grab us out of the house and in your case, reading!!
As long as I know you are fine, we can breath easier!! Thanks for your dedication to praying for us. Love you Susan!

Hello Skittles!! That's a cute name Judy! Who chose it?
It took me a long time, read it during the rides with Kel...but I just finished "People of the Lakes"! I love it.. especially the Contrary. The authors are truly accomplished archaelogists and historians. Learnt a lot about your roots Judy. Thank you my dear Chippewa sistah for introducing me to "People".

LOLOL Faye. You can't believe the addiction will stop at that???
Come on now.. most of us are addicted swappers too!! Some have kinda eased off a bit... but that's how this thread started. A home for swappers.. when we're not swapping.. and eventually morphed into a home for loving, caring sistahs.
The DL folks I deal with, don't sell the lilies to me by the number of fans. They just pull out the whole clump!!! All these years I've been buying from them, I only got two with double fans.. cause they were the last ones!! Sometimes I get as much as 6. Can't be greedy, so I share them with a church sister.
This is on my wish list. I am not coveting her.. no, not all :D But if the price goes down in a couple of years... I would like to have her in my garden! I think you would like her too :D

Was posting away.. and forgot to add this!
Barb, prayers still continue for Norm and you. We gave praise reports Sunday on Norm, Faye's sister and Todd.. that the whole church was clapping so hard and shouting Lord is still on His throne. If we were charismatic, we'll be dancing!!! And I see nothing wrong with that either!
As for Murdock, he will be having his first Chemo treatment Tuesday.
Kel will accompany his dad for ALL the necessary procedures.

oops gotta run be back in a bit.
Enjoy the day all!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Donna, I am so glad you are not competing against their Mum. Be what you are, your own loving self, and pretty soon they get used to the idea of having 2 Mums and will be more secure.

Time's up for me. Got to run some errands for Kel.
If you can't stay out of the sun, make sure to stay hydrate.. like Trisha would say ^_^

Hehehe.. Judy.. I finished reading People of the River at the hospital!!
You will love it.. more violence but great subplots and I love the surprise conclusion!

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Right again Jaye, what is the name of that Day Lily? would love to have it. And yes, I may just get hooked on the swaps too, but wait, I already been in 3 swaps! am I hooked already? Oh, sorry I waited to late for the envy. swap.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good Lord! Ca fait chaud!!!! Yes it's hot out there. As soon as I get back in the truck.. I relish the airconditioning!!!! The heat truly takes my breath away!

Faye, the Flat Envelope Swap will be in July :D So.. you didn't miss it yet.. not this year anyway!
That DL is Jennifer Trimmer.

Here's one that's just planted and blooming. Choke Cherry Mountain. Intense dark burgundy.

Got a few minutes before my noisemaker returns. Think I'll adorn this room with more blooms.

Kim gave Synda a Red White and Blue hydrangea for the swap.
Now Kim.. tell us where did you find it??

Mine is blue.. of course. Love it.

Thought the snow had killed this hibiscus. It survives and gave so many blooms. Thank God for old fashioned hardy ones.

Hello Donna, good to see you and someday I hope to meet you in person along with all the others here.
Jaye,Jennifer Trimmer is one I'll be watching for. It is so pretty to me.

Another recent addition to the garden.
Winston Churchill.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Psst.. Faye.. JT is around 200 big ones!! Sheesh.. I have to really wait for a long, long time.. :D

This is a noid that I planted last year. It could be Winston Churchill's twin, but the main color is an off peach.. not lemony yellow like Winston!!
The eyes are similar. Kinda reddish..

Thumbnail by heavenscape
TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sistahs they are..
can't remember whether I've posted one Autumn Jewel... now there are two!

Thumbnail by heavenscape
Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Jaye the second one looks like a half breed of the Winston. Huh...Very pretty however

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You all should notice by now, what kind of DLs I'm drawn to!
Lolol.. they look so similar... the Noid, Autumn Jewel and Winston Churchill.
Only Autum Jewel has lightly colored crimped edging. The blooms are much bigger than the others.

This here is an old time favorite. Frans Hall. The flowers are dimunitive, but soooo cute.

Wow!! I had a new lily bloom yesterday, took a picture of it and a few other plants before I got chased away by a red wasp, then got stuck in Barbara Walters 2 hour show and didn't even download them to my computer. I'll have to take care of that tonight.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hello Ladies,
Wow so much reading to do before I started posting. Jaye your DL are beautiful, I have some down in Marysville sadly I don't get to see them bloom. And I know a lot of my other lilies are blooming right now. I asked my cousin to take pictures of all my flowers when they bloom as this is the first year for them.

BJ, your trip looked like it was so much fun. You and Don are great "parents" for exchange students. I bet when Mike and Katy get home and tell of all the things they did in the USA other students will want to come to your house.

LK, hope things are going better for Todd.

Judy, your new birdie is too cute. I had a Mexican Redheaded Amazon. I used to take him every where with me. One time I took him camping, as the sun was coming up he started squawking "Time to get up" ,lol I had to put him in the truck because peeps were yelling "Shut that d@% bird up"

Ok now I'm going to post some pix of our trip thus far. First is a pix of Mt. Shasta surrounded in clouds

Half breed!!! Good one Crissy!
The second one, I bought online from Daylily Auction. Winston is from Marietta.
Someone once told me there are thousands of DLs out there, cross breed.. hybridized.. bound to have many with similarities!
Now if only I can find one that looks like JT but at 1/10 the cost, wouldn't that be lovely!!

LK, how goes the MRI???

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL!! Did I tell you that I told Dave this morning as I was trying to get ready and he was standing in my way as I looked for my lost contact, and brought Tiga in with him to hand me someone's business cards, who apparently is starting up a handyman/lawn care business like Dave's business, to hand them out. I asked him why in the world I would hand out someone's business cards when they have the same exact business we do??? He couldn't answer so I told him he got on a stupid train and forgot to get off.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

This here is was taken on Father's Day It was raining at the time so I couldn't stand out in the yard to get the whole rainbow so I had to take tow pix. My cousin's ex husband had also passed away early that morning and her son was still hour away from the hospital. He will be back home on Wednesday to pick up his kids. So we will still have 1 more week to do things with Sissy before we head home on the 7th.

This is where we went camping. It's called Morgan Lake, in the town of La Grande, Oregon. It's free camping and they had just stocked the lake with 4300 fish a few days before we got there.

Cindy, I'll view those pics longer, later. But I thank you for sharing and sorry over your cousin's ex death.

Crissy.. I'll tell you later on what Kel did one day.. he needs that same train too!!

OK.. will be back when weather allows and after noisemaker is fed. Promise!!

A sunset that I caught on our last evening there

Thumbnail by purpbutfly
(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

The fishing was really good. Our first night there Tory and I went out in the boat. No gas motors on this lake. Either you row or electric motors. So Tory had to row us, but the lake was so calm that we got out in the middle and just sat there. She had put a worm on and I used power bait. We caught 7 or 8 eight fish with in a half an hour or so. Every morning after breakfast I would take my chair and go around the lake and fish for a couple of hours. Our last evening there after dinner mom and I and the 4 boys went out again. And that is when I caught this guy. I did't measure him or weight him. I think he was a good pound and about 20 inches long. I caught him using orange power bait. Everyone else was using worms and only caught little pan size.
