Nice shots, Shelly and Jo Ann!

Shelly - what is that first plant? Very nice. Love the shot with the spider. Really stands out.

She broadcasts the seeds and then hand rakes them in lightly with a bamboo rake.

That poppy field is awesome

Jo Ann, I'm drooling over the martagons---and the poppies! I know Laurie would love to photograph them---right now I can't take a photo of anything as I have lost my memory card :( There was nothing on it, as I had printed the last ones at Rite Aid, but the memory card isn't there---thought I put it in my jeans' pocket---not there. Victor, loved that rose, & the butterfly shot. And I've been thinking about getting 'Emilia Plater'--nice to see a shot of her. Tex---great Echies---mine aren't even budded yet! Patti, thanks for the rose link to North Creek Farm. The pups look so good, hard to believe they're diggers! And Karen, I hope to meet Patches personally at the RU. Shelley, the corydalis is a beauty---I have 2---a blue, & a yellow-red combo.

Jo Ann, are you speaking of how the poppies are sown?

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

i think she tills in compost and then broadcasts the seed, then gently rakes the ground but doesnt deep rake.

One thing you should always try to avoid is overexposure (in life too!) Once it's saturated, there's no fixing it. Underexposure is no biggie.

This may be the weirdest insect I have seen. I saw this light blue thing flying around me. Was waiting for it to land. It looked like blue cotton. And it really did!

That IS the weirdest bug I've ever seen!!!

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

It's a fairy insect. Doing magic to your garden. I think it looks whimsical. I hope it's a beneficial kind.

Goes well with the Garden Tree and Fairy Elves I created for one of the local stores.
