I saw that, kinda creeped me out.
Father Knows Best - Happy Fathers' Day! Coffee Break # 14
Anyone suffer from migraines??? I'm feeling the effects today of last night's worst migraine of my life. Maybe some fresh air will help.
Oh - my sympathies. They are horrible.
This one was so bad I was thinking I needed a cat scan. I even had a dream that I was describing how bad of a migraine it was.
{{{{flowerjen}}}} I sometimes get them during Chinooks.
Does it blur your vision?
chinooks????
Chinooks are what Canadian women get.
Snort. Chinooks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinook_wind
ah, okey dokey
aaaaaawwwwwwww too cuddly!!!
Now that sight should definitely cure a migraine ^_^
Yes, I suffered from migraines most of my life---one trigger must have been hormonal, because I haven't had one in over a year--- alcohol, stress, bright lights also triggers for me---the worst one was on a bus trip home from PEI in Canada---just wanted someone to shoot me, & I believe my husband was willing! My doctor finally prescribed something---takes migraines away in 5min. for me---however, the stuff never worked for a friend who suffered also. David, Gilbert School is not a charter---it's like Norwich Free Academy.
The only time I didn't have them was the entire time I was on the Atkins diet. If I feel a twinge of a migraine coming on I take 1/2 of an Excedrin caplet and I don't get one. This time I didn't get the usual warning. I finally felt normal again at around 3pm.
This is just disgusting.....

Eeeeew! Disgusting and cruel! I grew up in Chester. It was strange to read about it here on DG!
That's horrible.
These people are known as 'hoarders'. It can happen anywhere.
Robin dog: your 7th grade nasty talk is disgusting for anyone. The kids pick it up from friends and I'm afraid some adults who can't clean up their mouths.
Can you believe I still have a Bleeding Heart in bloom?!! Weird.
A one million dollar house - you would think she could afford to hire someone at least to clean up after the cats! Now she'll probably lose the house to pay for legal fees. You're allowed to have a lot of cats if you take care of them properly, aren't you (which she obviously didn't)? I mean is it illegal to have that many cats, or to have them in squalor? Or, is it possible to have that many cats without squalor? She pled not guilty.
We have very strict laws in our township about how many pets we can own....of course I can't currently find the ordinance.
We have a 3 dog rule in our town, unless you have a kennel or a mother dog with pups---but I never heard of any limit on the amount of cats.
That bleeding heart is probably a nice side effect of our weird, weird weather.
I had my white one rebloom with one blossom this year.
Too bad jumper. I don't think the white ones are as tough as the pinks.
My golden one didn't bloom at all this year.
I haven't seen the golden ones. How long/briefly did it bloom?
My red ones are done, so it was neat to see the rebloom on the white. Didn't know they could do that.
Well Finals Rodeo was wonderful with the bucking horses putting on a grand show. My fav this year was Zippy Delivery (great name!) who came out of the gate with buck and a nifty side twist and sent the rider flying. Unfortunately it was not counted as he nudged the rider into the gate so the rider was given a re-ride but Zippy did a victory lap anyways (Tee hee they are supposed to leave but if they run fast they can do a lap before the pick up guys can catch em ^_^) The bulls did the usual professional thing this year; throw the rider, snort at the pick up guys and leave. A luvly lady from Texas won the Barrel racing which was a blessing as she had a great deal of misfortune this year. Our local champion had a broken leg so didn't make the finals.
Now for the REALLY exciting news. This morning when I went to let the crazy ole cat out I discovered a skunk meandering around in the back yard. I wonder what in hoot Peppy Le Pew is doing in the city??? Maybe he came in for Stampede ^_^
Sounds like fun, Dahlia-----the horse was clever! Dave, the bleeding heart has golden foliage, pink flowers---blooms about as long as the regular pink-flowered ones.
Oh whee Dahlia. Gonna dust off my white hat and remember good ole days. Especially shoe shopping in Calgary, Banff Springs Hotel and whatever those animals are that pop up and down from underground. Canadian answer to land crabs? lol
Heh MayPopLaurel there was a finalist in the Tie-Down Roping this year from Summerville, GA! We don't see alot of competitors from your great state so that was exciting! RobinDog golden bleeding heart has now been entered in the Great Book of Lists. My red ones are still blooming but I think my garden is still stuck in May. Dahlia testing the air to see if it's safe to open.....
And is it safe? I keep saying this the nicest June we've had that started after the 1st of July!!
O ya Carrie it's definitely safe. That pic was taken on Friday. Today it and others are open but it's doing Drinks from the Sky in July which is what we are having instead of the Joon Monsoon. Tomorrow hopefully I will be able to give an update but dahlias look best when they are fully open methinks and it will a bit before it's in full glory..... Pink Attraction is open though ^_^
so glad you had a good time at the rodeo Dnut... maybe someday I will get up there to see it in person
Got it. Golden foliage.
Dnut, glad you had fun.
Prety dahlia---mine are just budded---or not, as the case may be.
NL is actually winning. Probably won't last.
Well, Dahlia, let's here it for Summerville, GA. She did us proud? I like tie down way better than bucking contests. Love the clowns best of all. What a dangerous job.
Arnold Churgin. Those are the shoes I love. And what are the animals that pop up out of holes and then run off? I Googled "Canadian animals that pop up and down", "Canadian pop up animals", "Canadian rodents". The last one worked I think. Are they little gophers? Very social. Those animals, the mountain sheep laying around in the roads, the moose roaming through Banff and eating out of window boxes on the main streets, Drumheller and Churgin shoes make Alberta a great place to visit.
