Sorry, but the last thread was giving chilblains. I hope the sun comes up to warm up our plants and my bones. Happy day to all the fathers of all kinds out there - the fathers and step-fathers and fathers-in-law and those who serve as father but not recognized by one of those terms by law. (Step-boyfriend?) Take a day off, all you hard workers, and the rest of you, we'll buy you a card. (Nobody on this forum is not a hard worker, but we all know they're out there.)

wren that is hot - we would be happy with 75 - 78 here - 100 would send gardens into shock!

Cloudy and damp today but I ain't complaining...gardens are loving this cool, wet weather. Things are lasting longer and nothing is stressed out. Not that we ever get hot enough up here to stress things out. Mosquitoes are nasty though...will carry you off if you stand still too long.

We have the Mosquitoes too, you have to ride a bike to be fast enough to escape them.. To hick with the gardens stressing out how about the poor gardeners????

Everything does look lush, lovely, and a little blurry.

LOved the cartoon, & Riley's escapades! Dave, we adopted an airedale 6 years ago---he still wants to bite everyone except us----we brought him for training classes, bought books, sent to Tufts for an evaluation---at least you can pick up the Griffon---our guy weighs 70lbs.

There's been so much rain lately that now we are under a flood warning for the rains that are expected Saturday night and into Sunday. Sheesh!

one of the bosses at my job has two airdales.... nice looking dogs... Rileys new thing today was playing in the puddle in the tarp we have covering the wood rack... I love to watch this puppy learn new stuff

You have to pay Jacqui Whatshername a pound of flesh, but then you can send as many cool ecards as you want. (We have other friends who send those cards.)

It's really very cheap when you think about it....19.00 a year and I spend way more than that on Hallmark cards! lol

Happy Fathers' Day! See, if I spent the $19 for her cards, what would I give/send all the people who hate sweet, tasteful Labrador retrievers? And I really try to stay away from Hallmark, although that's mostly what I am given; Papyrus or even American Greetings are nicer. I REALLY like the one-of-a-kind or at least not mass-marketed ones.

But not all are Labs.the have fairies/pixie's, birds, Teddy bears,and cats too!

Can someone explain why so many garden plants look like they're suffering from ED, while the weeds look like they're on Cialis???!

(I don't know what ED or Cialis is, but weeds don't mind the rain so much whereas garden plants say "this is not the correct number of full sun hours I was bred for.")

Homemade presents from my kids--the best! My daughter made me a paper mache Jon Stewert, son made a card with coupons and made a lego envelope for the card.

David, I got that whatever ED and Cialis are, the weeds are thriving and the garden plants are behind, at least up here.

A lovely Fathers' Day here, too. My DDs spent the day with their real father, then came home and spontaneously rushed up to DH and hugged him and said "you're my favorite father!"

Just want to pop in and wish all you fathers out there a Happy Father's Day. I made my man his favorite dish of baby back ribs today with his fave pasta salad.If I do say so myself I think it came out better than ever before. Mmmm Hope you all enjoyed a good time, good peole and good food too! : )

when I brought all the dogs out this morning... I tapped on the slider to tell Randy they were playing.. he ran upstairs and videoed from the bathroom window... how good is he
