Marilyn, do you know some trees need to be 'bruised' or hurt in order to produce? I've heard of old Cajun granmas back in Louisiana that whenever they see a fig tree or a fruit tree not producing.. the threats go out, or they beat the trees.. and lo and behold... you'll see the trees reacting positive!
God doesn't give us more than we can handle. Still when it gets too much, just release everything to Him.
BTW, how many days smoke free now?

Wonders today. Kel helped me with some weeding today as he'd promised. We still got a big area to cover, hopefully he'd agree to continue tomorrow morning, if it's not raining.

Maid M, getting pretty close for that Costa Rica trip for Kim. Hope by that time, you'll be back using that hand. I know you'll miss her.

I'm just glad that you went to the doctor, Cody. No matter what, you need those hands. Look at Maid M, can't hardly function with one. Unless you learn to use your feet!! :D

How many days,,,I lost count,,,have to go look at the calendar. I quit counting at 14, was that yesterday? lordy today has been long too. lol

argh! not much in frig fresh to cook. found emergency supplies box of "chicken parmesan" in the freezer, made pasta primavera to go with it - pasta was great, chicken was.....all bread, no chicken, no parmesan. oh well - they are fed.

Phyllis,,,one of the little darlings on my bus gave me a gift at the end of school for 'making her whole year' as she so sweetly put it. Part of the gift was a live plant. I am happy to say I have not killed it! and I now have two blooms and a bud on it!


We are about to get some heavy duty rains in here within the hour, so I may not be back tonight. You all have a good evening and I'll catch up tomorrow. will 'lurk' as long as I safely can. lots of lightning in this storm again. Oh lovely summer thunderstorms,,,but my plants need the fresh water. Just wish I had more rain barrels. :)

LK soooooo glad prayers were answered for Todd !!!!! Orthopedic Dr.put me on those dumb Relafen pills(nsaid) and had a reaction to them.
Plus sinus/ear infection.When I move have a vertigo thing going on.....

I got an early Anniversary present (40 yrs. on Sunday)....mom got us a 125 gallon hard shell pond liner and a filter!! It will replace the wooden box pond out front ( is getting a bit worn out, may try and salvage it for the back yard)....it is deep enough that we should be able to put a few fish in it once it is all together.....got the lava rock cleared and the sand bed put down....tomorrow is the fun part, potting up all the sedum that are in the rocks around the old pond and moving all the rock to surround the new pond. Laura and Sage are coming over after school (last day!!) to help out. Have a lot of plans for the old pond area...just need to come up with the finances to carry it out! Guess I will make up fliers to see about getting us some more yard work...

We planted 12 rows of peas, 6 Wando and 6 Snow peas. I picked a half bushel. Now I'm up to my elbows in snow pea pods...oh my...good thing I love them so much! I'm thinking Bertie and Dusty don't have near enough...

My brother and SIL are coming to spend the night on Saturday so they'll be here for Father's day. We aren't having a big meal, too much other stuff to do to plan that, but the fellowship is really what it's all about.

I've been trying to keep up with all of you and my prayers continue for those of you who need it.
