Hello All,
Well as most of you know there is never a dull moment in this house.. Well Kevin was coming home down our road and he seen a hawk fall from the sky. He thinks it was sitting on the transformer on the top of the pole... Well I went and got it and I am keeping her warm and she looks like she is coming around more... I hope she makes it... I believe she is in shock... Well time will tell... I have her in a very big cage wraped in a blanket..... Here is a picture of her...

Yep. it was me that said that if you homestead. It means they can't take your home! It is just something in the law!
We were told that years ago, when we filed for homesteading!

Nope it was my cat and she was startled when I tried to pick up magazine by her. She jumped and snapped--hand got in way.

I cant find who got bit by the cat but make sure you soak it and keep it open,,Cat bites are awful and if not taken care of can really infect.... Ok eyes dropping again See you all after work.

Evenin... Prayers going out ... nite girls and what not to those I missed today
Got up went through a ton of emails then went into work so we could fill out our paper work to get reimbursed for the trip, meals and motel.
Yes LK it was the T.A.P.T. bus rodeo and conference
It was a good relaxing time
We ended up staying in the conference hotel as the one we had booked with was not clean ...by that I mean hair in one of the frigs, and our bathroom was filthy. I did not feel I should pay 216 for staying in a motel that was nasty and the desk gal had a real bad attitude..very short and snippy so I called the Hyatt and they had 3 rooms which is what we needed and so we grabbed them and went around the corner and back down the street and stayed there. Was sooo much nicer and more convenient since it was where everything was taking place.

The Special Ed drivers went down to do their test which we thought was taking place right there and come to find out the test was online and you were to down load it ahead of time and fill it out then turn it in so they got disqualified right off the bat and I was HOT...the person that has always taken care of things back here at work said he looked the week after to rodeo but it was not online yet he never bothered to tell me that it would be online for them to get and take ...this is the guy that asked me to help out with the rodeo stuff since his plate was so full then got ticked off when the drivers won the regional rodeo and I started asking questions about the state one. ...so we have a feeling the test thing was kinda on purpose since he never told me about it.
the other two did get to compete but did not place in the top 3 ...as a mater of fact the older lady did not do much at all as she did not have her seat belt on properly meaning the shoulder piece does not go around behind you it stays in front so all but one event she got no points.
The other gal did okay with a few things not good but hey it was her first time at state and I know from doing state in Illinois it is a totally different feeling.

Marion I'm sorry if you lived alot closer you could have baby sat Millie LOL
Yes she is keeping an eye on me but Harley and her have ben playing alot too since getting home so I know Harley missed her to LOL
I bet of Nana BJ looks around the house she will not only see her food dish but she will find she has a yellow ball, the goldfish and the pastel material ball at her house yet ROFL..but nto to worry I have bowls to use and Millie still has a ball and a another toy to play with when she is not running off wtih the weeds I pull

Marion are they having you sleep wtih your arm above your head so it is higher then your heart?
I know when my cat bit me years ago (she was old and tried jumping up and I went to catch her when she fell backwards) I went to the ER and they gave me meds and shots and made me sleep with my hand and arm above my head.
Ya know everyone always said how cats and dogs have the cleanest mouths...nope not true get bit by a cat and you better get to the doc before the infection from the saliva starts in.
So girl do what they say and be good

It is true about dogs....not cats. Never had any scratches or bites as nasty as a cat.....my cat got me good awhile back on the leg...before I knew what was going on the dog started licking it. Yuk...but that healed up almost overnight and never did get all infected like other times the cat scratched me.

Nice to know my dog is not the only one who runs off with the weeds I pull....it is one of her favorite pass times!

Two and a half more days of school.....Sage is happy, not so sure about mom and dad...

Phyllis... Millie followed me all over the house to gather her things that day. I found her gold fish and threw it in her little carrier which was in the bedroom ... found her ball and threw it in there too... then turned around to go into the living room, got her bag and started filling it with the other stuff. Went back to get the carrier and she pounced on her tennis ball and it rolled under the dresser in the closet... too far under to retrieve. I guess while I was trying to get that, she got her gold fish out, cause I found it under the bed last night... she's a fast little stinker.
I'll try to gather it all up again and get it to you somehow... so sorry about that.

Morning, Phyllis that is no excuse. LOL Millie is such a doll and after this last episode I am thinking maybe a small dog!!! Yes, hand elevated at all times--now try to babysit to active GDs with only one hand--challenging is all I can say. Atleast the pinky will move some this morning but that is all. Thank goodness Kim hadn't left for Costa Rica yet.

Hello everyone!
Riding in a box truck with airconditioning not working-- that kills the rest of the day-- when it's in the 90's!!

Came home and ferilized more beds. Can't find Dynamite anywhere, so instead, I'm trying Miracle Gro. Had always used Osmocote, as it lasts much longer than the rest. Perhaps changing brands might wake up the blooms.

I swore on no chemicals this year, but tired of fighting weeds. So I'm giving in and got me some Bayer's. Again, Kel says he'll 'do' it. But like Maid M. had said, poor guy got his plates full. If only he understands that it won't diminish his status with me, if he allows me to hire the neighbour more often. Men!!!
Perhaps, I can just spray instead of bending for 5 minutes and rest for 20!!

And yes, Trisha, my Lola think the weeds are her prey!!

What kind of camera did you get Crissy? I've never grown garlic. Had a BIL that loves elephant garlic, they are so mild, practically can eat them raw.

Maid M, I don't wish to be bitten by a cat. Got scratched a lot, and I'm slow to heal. All my cats left scars on my legs. Yep, safer with a small dog. Maybe you'll find one at the pound?

crissy.....do I recognize that!!!! I started with one several years ago and I have a ton of it this year. I would just pull one or two as needed and leave the rest as I love the blooms.....but the stuff is coming up everywhere....time to thin it out!

Ladies, I am just skimming through, and will not be on much for the next few days!
Hubby is in the hospital, and probably will need surgery. He passed out this morning, and I took him to the ER. They thought he was having a heart attack, but after all the test came back, he has a bad bleeding ulcer, that has left him with hardly any red blood cells, low oxygen levels, and severely anemic! So he has started one of four pints of blood transfusions, and The specialist will put scopes down into his stomach later today, to find out what kind of damage has been done, and what repairs are needed!
So please add him to t he prayer list!

but I have learned that when I took her from the mother plant it is what took her color away...
Neat thing to know! I think like next to positive that she was a Jacobs Ladder, however couldn't find any rose named that but thats what stuck in my head, so now that she grew up Red in my new memory garden...Named her after my three Carol's. Sister, Best friend and a DGer whom we all loved.

The Ibuprofen will help with the inflamation. I used to take 800mg for my back. Take when you need to Cody. Try not to aggravate your wrists. Or get you some braces.

Hope everyone else is doing ok . I have alot to do today as we are leaving REAL early tomarrow morning. Just wanted to post a pix of the doll house. I still have to do all the detail work on it yet so it is going to be a Christmas present instead of b-day. I still have the wardrobe to make yet too.

I probably won't get to talk to you all for a few days, we will be going going going, then b-day party for my mom and cousin's hubby on Father's Day then we are leaving early Monday to head for the mountains camping for a week. Then on the 4th of July we will be going to an Indian Reservation for a Pow Wow, will be taking video camera for that. So anyhoooooooooo I will talk at ya all when I get a chance.
