This is the sides and inside. I'm going to send for special wall paper made just for doll houses

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Prayers and hugs Linda Kay. Wish I was closer to be with you but then that might not be a good idea either--one handed ditzy blond--hummm could talk to you to keep your mind busy.

Thanks all for the wishes, I just feel plain stupid to have had this happen but it isn't the first but it will be the last. Taking her to the vet to discuss why she does this craziness.

Cindy the dollhouse is wonderful. Lucky little girl.

Cody, I think I missed something but listen to Jaye--take care of those wrist and don't be a hero by not taking meds to reduce the inflammation. Been there done that don't advise it to anyone.

Waving Judy, oh the hug felt so good girl!!!

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

LK thoughts and prayers for you and hubby

just popped in to check things have to go finish the window tinting on my car so will be back later after dark LOL

Marilyn Glen st. Mar, FL(Zone 9a)

Phyllis, heard through the 'transportation grapevine' today that we will have a new supervisor come July 1st. He is being 'made' to take a position of asst. principal at one of the secondary schools. Made? hmmmm,,,,will be interesting to see the changes that take place for next year. budget cuts? drivers retiring and not being replaced by 'full-time' drivers, being replaced by substitute drivers. things could get ugly next year.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good evening everyone. Jaye, that prayer is so nice. Thank you so much!
Just a quick update about Todd.
They think he has a bleeding ulcer, (due to too many motrin) and possibly a hiatal hernia. Don't know the proper spelling.
So they will be going in the morning with a scope, to find out exactly where, and what. Then they will tell us what they are going to do!
He has been bleeding internally for quite some time, because he has lost 3/4 of his blood volume, so they are giving him his second unit of blood tonight, and probably 2 more tommorrow!
So we are both going to try and get a good nights sleep.
I will post again some time tomorrow afternoon, when I know more details!
Thank you so much for the thoughts, prayers and hugs!

Marion, hope your sausage fingers are a little smaller today! Hope the meds are kicking in for you?

Cody, you take care, and take the motrin, just don't take them over an extended period of time. We just found out the hard way, they are bad for your stomach!

Cindy, that doll house is so pretty! I know she will be thrilled when she gets it! Have a great trip, and drive careful!

Judy, you need to go out and get right in the middle of that water balloon fight, it will cool you off! LOL

Good night everyone.

LK

Marilyn Glen st. Mar, FL(Zone 9a)

Good night LK, bless you and may you rest well tonight. Leave it all in His hands and sleep will be restful.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yeah, Motrin can be abrasive to your stomach lining. Thank God, your DH is treated in time, LK. God arranges matters there.

Judy, knowing you, too late.. you are already wet from the fight!! Give them back hard sistah! Show them you still have the fight in you!

Beautiful doll house Cindy. I know you'll be in awe at the Pow Wow. I love their costumes and the dances. Wish your mum Happy Birthday for us and be careful on the road. Love you too!

Maid M. You may be a one handed blonde.. but you ain't ditzy for sure!!! Anyone lucky enough to spend some time with you, like some of us have, will want your company again ;)

Cody, I told Kel what you said.. and he appreciates it very much. He says for you to take good care of yourself, as there is only one Cody, and only one Mama for Alex ^_^

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Linda Kay, I am so hoping for better news tomorrow. I know you are trying to get some sleep so don't just try--do it--that's an order from the lil ole lady. Todd will be needing you and you will have us for your support.

Jaye, I meant to post earlier about outside help--son came and mowed, edged and blowed the drive for me this weekend. As luck would have it my yard man who did the major cleanup dropped by today so he will be here Thursday to dig the holes for my new hydrangeas. Next door neighbor came over to tell us they are havine 3 trees cut that are right on the property line, a huge oak that is hollow in the center which could fall on either of our houses if we had a hurricane or just heavy rains and wind. The other is a very, very tall pine tree and an almost dead big cedar. Talk about opening up some areas for sun loving plants--think I am going have it soon.

Well, I can only hunt and peck so long and the left hand hurts so I am off to bed with more hot compresses and more elevation. Not an easy way to sleep .

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

LK you both will be in our hearts and prayers. Take care of yourself as well.

You too Marion, how are you doing today?

Amen Jaye.

A big wave to everyone I have missed...

Really tired tonight.....we got Doris's yard all finished....if we don't get predicted rain tomorrow I will go over and water for her....she isn't able and her family sure hasn't been looking after any of her flowers.....and she so loves her flowers. I put the hose on things in back of me as I finished weeding, but it all really needs a good long soak!

Made a run by the market and took Laura and Sage home then came home and got my own front yard weeded. Since we don't have any other weeding jobs lined up right now I may start on some front beds here......mom may love it but I detest the awful lava rock they call a front yard here.....

This is the view straight down the middle of the front yard...

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Cindy, love the doll house!!! That is going to be one happy little girl......
Cody you take care sweetie.....

This is more what I would like my front yard to look like...if I have to have rock, at least I want Real Rock...

Thumbnail by zhinusmom
(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Marily... mmm sounds fishy to me especially if he is going to be an asst. principal too
filling routes with subs not good either unless they are changing to full time drivers and new subs are hired on.
Budget cuts I understand kinda but when it comes to the safety and transporting of the kids short cuts will cost more then just on the budget

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LK Thoughts and Prayers are being sent from here too. I'm so sorry about these troubles.

Trisha if you leave the bulb in the ground it will produce more, but they won't be as big. I'm going to keep some cloves to plant in the fall. I was shocked to see purple flowers! I'm so happy it's garlic!

Im going to catch up in the morning at work, I'm exhausted and everything I read goes right through my brain and out an ear.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I have been leaving my garlic in the ground and I now have enough to supply half of Thurston County with garlic!!! I like it for the the flowers and even use them fresh in arrangements and bring them in for dried arrangements too.

Has anyone talked to Barb in the past few days....she was on with Betty on Best/Worst on the 13 or 14th...said they needed batteries and were going to take a quick trip to get some and would post pics when they got back ....hasn't heard anything from her since.... noticed she hasn't been on in this room either.....???

Coushatta, LA

Thanks,Jaye,Marion,Trisha and LK,don't worry i only take them if it really bothers me.

I did not think I would get to sleep last night, but I finally fell alseep about midnight I guess! Then was awake at 5:00! I will come home this afternoon, and take a nap.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

LK, praying for you and Todd, here.

Marion, so sorry you got a booboo...hope it's better by now.

I've been really busy in the yard and garden. Picked a half bushel of snow peapods yesterday. What was I thinking????? Now I have to do something with them!!!

Always read, but somehow by the time I can post, I've forgotten everything I wanted to say.

Love the wistaria. This was on the garden tour I went on a couple weeks ago.

LK, my youngest just can't seem to hear that alarm clock, and he gets so worried about oversleeping, :), so I am his 'for sure' alarm clock. tell you once, if I have to come back in there the second time, roll you out of bed. :) he's awake by the time he hits the floor. lol
So I'm heading out to my yard. taking a break from sewing today, and do something I want to do to relax. going to try to start a new bed, or maybe just lounge in the pool, don't know yet. will decide when I get out there.
be careful today and keep us posted.

Morning Glory!

here's donuts! Thank goodness Daylight Donuts takes credit cards. all I had on me was a drivers license and my Visa when Randall called and asked me to bring something for a treat home. Let's see, we've got powdered cake, glazed yeast, lemon filled, and Boston Creme Pie. Coffee is on, too.

had to drive my oldest daughter Bevin to work. her apartment/car experienced a flash flood yesterday morning as she got ready for work. she looked outside and saw a small drainage creek was over it's banks, but it's a good 500 ft. from her door, with her car parked right outside. she went to take a shower, got dressed, and looked outside - - water was halfway up her bumper! apt. management have already torn out her downstairs carpet, but her old $900 clucker is toast. so I'm on driving duty - and apartment finder duty, for the next several days. that's the fourth time his apartment got flooded. he's lived there 16 years, and he's agreed it's time to find better digs. so Mom is apartment hunting! daughter has to find her own new clunker......brings me back to my corporate exec days. I used to have to find places for new out of state recruits to live in, and apartments were so scarce it wasn't easy. now they are truly cheap cheap!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yea, apartments are a dime a dozen right now, good time to be looking for one. I couldn't handle living where it floods, even if it's just one time in 30 years.

I have to get to work ya'll, catch ya in a while.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'm here and I'm sorry.......
I’m sorry if I worried anyone. Life had a way of catching us this weekend and the beginning of the week. I last posted on Sat. On Sun we got company (dear friends-just not expected) that ended up staying until quite late.
On Mon we went to the hospital for Norm’s 2 week check with the surgeon. This involved a PET scan, a chest x-ray and the Dr’s visit. Although we were there nearly all day, the results are good. The scan showed no new spots since the surgery. The chest x-ray showed some fluid but she said that is normal and will be absorbed by the body. She ended up being two hours late on her appointments due to an emergency. Poor Norm was starving at this point. He hadn’t anything to eat since 5:30 am and it is now 4 pm. We didn’t get upset though because she was there for Norm when he needed her and we would not begrudge the same to anyone else. She said he is healing very nicely and that she was pleased. She also told us that the spot she removed was malignant but had clean margins. This meant she was sure she had got it all and then checked to make sure we had an appointment with the oncologist to discuss the next step. We stopped for food on the way home and literally fell into bed when we got there.
Yesterday was food shopping day and catch up with family day. Another fairly ate night but when family cares we don’t turn them away. They left fairly early but we were still so tired and again fell into bed.
Today is catch up with everything and everyone else day. You know the drill, pay the bills, go to the PO and bring home more!!!!! Try to catch up with everyone on-line, do laundry and get some sewing done. Only the end of the day will see what we accomplish.
Thank you all so much for your prayers and concern and again I apologize for causing anyone to worry. Hopefully, I’m BACK for a while (or until the oncologist appointment which is the 25th incase I forget and don’t check in – haha)
I haven’t read the posts for two days and it would probably take me two days to catch up so if I missed something important, please fill me in. Hugs, Barb
and now I see I missed all the news about LK's husband. I sure do send my prayers for him. My brother had the same thing a while back and he is doing fine now. Catching it is the clue and healing usually goes pretty quick. Get some rest LK, and Cody and Marion... Geeze it seems like I can't leave you without someone needing prayers. You all have them. Hugs again, Barb

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh may I have a Boston creme donut? Oh I do love those thank you Bon!!!!

Barb so happy to see you post as I too was getting concerned I hate it when my sistahs go missing.

Hand really sore this morning and can't bend middle finger--to painful. I don't have time for this to many thing I want, need to do.

Morning all --Linda Kay sending prayers and awaiting good news!!!!!!

Marilyn Glen st. Mar, FL(Zone 9a)

Good morning all. wanted to share this with you all.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

LOL I posted this two pages back without realizing you had been long gone. Reposting now just to say hello to all.

HELLOOOOOOOOO! I know I've been gone for awhile but I never realized it was so long. Thought I would read until I caught up but find that impossible because you keep writing the funnies, showing beauties both plant and animal, and boy that "Lil Red" is quite a beauty, I think a perfect match for our BJ.
Please know even thou I'm not posting, I'm close by and if ever I'm needed, I'll be there.
Love to all and please keep up the chatter. I'm loving it.
Faye

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Hey there Faye! I'm way behind too. Say like, three pages. Just have to ppop in to say I'm still cleaning. Or better yet, stuffing the closets. Closets doors got fixed and put back on the track, three plate glass window panes have been replaced, grass mowed and the clippings raked (thanks to Larry) I'm still pulling out grass from the front bed. I have no curb appeal. :+(

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Was wondering what happened to you traveling buddy. When is the shower or have you already had it? Time is growing short now........

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Thanks Barb for the update......glad you are back!

Prayers to all for healing and rest...

Grey and cool today....don't know if the rain showers will appear or just tease us....no rain today in Seattle will tie a 29 day record for this time of year. We could sure use some rain...Bon too bad some of that excess can't be sent here to balance things out.

Oh, I wish I had room to get out my Oil Paints out right now....gal on TV is painting the most beautiful Iris right now!

Unfortunately it is things like laundry and cleaning that I need to get done so waving to very one....will check back later.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hello everyone. Barb that is great news to hear about Norm! Another prayer answered!

Hey Faye, it is good to see you pop in! Funny how we all get distracted in life. Hope you are doing well?

Todd is doing better, but will have to stay in the hopsital till at least Friday, if not Saturday. He wants to come home now! They did the scope, and said he did not have a hernia, but they did find a huge ulcer at the bottom of his stomach! They took a biopsy of it, just to make sure it was not cancer, but the Dr, said he did not think it was, Just a precationary thing they have to do! It will betreated with medications. No surgery is needed! He has had 4 units of blood so far, and has to have at least another 2 units.
So thank you all so much for the prayers, and letting me lean on your shoulders. You all have helped so much!
I am off for a short nap, then back to hospital later.

Marion you keep that hand elevated!

Trisha, that iris painting sounds really pretty. I wish I knew how to paint, but God has given me the talent to sew, and do crafts, so I will stick to that!

LK

Coushatta, LA

Hi Barb, thanks, glad you are back with us.I go tomorrow to have a MRI done on my hands,so by Monday of next week i will know something when i go back for my appt.

LK,it's great to hear good news on Todd.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cody, so sorry to hear your hands are bothering so much! I do pray they find the problem, and a solution real soon!

Coushatta, LA

Thanks,LK.I have cyst in both of my hands. On the right one is the worst one it is bigger and it is at the bottom of my hand before you get to your wrist. If they have to cut it out they will need to see what they are working with.It is pressing on my main nerve.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Ouch! is it carpal tunel syndrome? Or just cyst? Either way it is very painful! Please take it easy, I bet it bothers you in everything you do?
LK

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Saying prayers for you Cody.
LK I'm thrilled with your news. Todd is one lucky guy. To be able to have no surgery is a blessing in itself.
Marion - did the doctor say how long it would take for all your swelling to go down? When did this happen? I feel very out of the loop right now (too much going on in my head!) You probably said but it just didn't compute with me.
Trisha, so nice to hear from you. Sage must be thrilled that school is almost out. We had a bad ice storm this winter and they don't get out until the 30th here.
BJ I think you made the right decision about not fighting the taxes. Sometimes we don't realize we got a break when we got one!!!
Hope this finds everyone doing great today. Barb
