Summer ...show your pic's # 2

peony8..Not sure what the name of those poppies is. Sure wish I did cuz I would buy some more. Going to try to save some seeds. Will share with you if successful. You may wish to try ebay as I recently found some seed for next fall planting. There is a nice variety available.
The blue ones are delphinums. Sexy Rexy is a stunning rose. Everyone who loves pink should have one!

This is my favorite delphinum called Black beauty! It is fantastic and has reseed for me. Yeah!

It look like larkspur to me.

gus ,thanks ,the memory thing stinks.

Flora, IN(Zone 5a)

I can remember flowers better than family members names , and THAT is embarrassing.

Columbia City, IN(Zone 5b)

gus ,did you get hit with those storms last week ?? we got rain ,but we were on the outside edge of some stong storms, sunshine here, tornado sirens going off in town 4 mi south, and sirens going off to the east,no touch downs, but weird having a clear sky at home, all that going on around us.

Flora, IN(Zone 5a)

We lost power for a while and our internet a bit longer but the real storm seemed to go around us , both north and south. We didn't even get much rain just enough to make the humidity go up.

cece, oh yea summer in INDIANA !!!

Beahive, my Disneylands are never that orange! Lovely photo. My memory isn't as good as it used to be either. I had a head injury a few years ago, plus I was never one who cared about plant names as much as the plant. So posting here has been good for my brain!

Bea: love your roses and delphs..those are two things my garden is sorely missing, and your are just fabulous!

As messy as this combo is, falling all over each other, I love these coreopsis and bachelors buttons together:

Huggergirl - what a neat stand of coneflower. I had a really healthy stand for about three years, and then it disappeared. I have not been able to establish another one. Last year, when I was on vacation, the person did not know that the coneflower was a perennial, and instead of just cutting it back, it got dug up in the fall when it started to die off.

soil,If you lived closer Id dig 3-4 clumps for you,I have more than I need !!!also have coconut lime, not as many though .

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

Thanks for the kind thought, huggergirl. I looked up coconut lime and that is a really interesting one. I have a yellow one that is growing fine - not sure of the variety though. I collected some of the pink ones a few years ago on vacation - maybe I'll try sowing them this fall and see what happens. I may get lucky LoL.
This is not a very good photo, but Gallardia grows like crazy though.

Snaps and daisies and that nice calycanthus. It's never bloomed but the bright foliage is so cheerful.

I am very pleased with my Clematis 'Jackmanii'. I planted it in late April, and it's blooming quite nicely for a first-season plant.

I am training it to grow up (and hide) our radon mitigation system!

Artemiss, I love your hollyhocks!!!! (I'm just now tuning in) But that does it, I am now just going to have to plant some; Find a sunny spot somewhere, put down seed, and wait a year I guess. They are just beautiful!!!!

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

you might not get flowers the first year growing hollyhocks from seeds.

Springfield, IL(Zone 5b)

yep..those blooms are from seeds I planted last year. In fact, I was surprised to see so many came back, since they never amounted to much last year..just a rosette of leaves that was only a foot or so tall. But I think the wait was worth it...
