Thanks Jaye. Laura is still trying..she has cut way back....she just takes a few for each day and leaves the rest at my house so knows if she goes through those she will have to walk to my house and back to get more.....I know from experience that is hard, if not almost impossible to quit with the amount of stress she is under right now....I just keep the prayers going out that it gets resolved soon.

You take care and get some rest, and give Kel a hug for us too.

Got to think about getting dinner going....if this one customer ever leaves....I don't know about Bill, but I am getting hungry.

Mom and I made up 4 batches of strawberry Freezer Jam today, and froze several containers of berries too so that kept us busy for awhile.

I really didn't expect to get much more done on the boat seats than we did... I really enjoyed Phyllis' visit, though... and I think she enjoyed the jet skis as much as the kids... she really needed the break, after all the stress she endures at work, and at home.

Phyllis, I have decided to take that one cover off again, and fix that little problem before going on to the next one. Had to mull it over on the trip home today... and decided it would just allow more mistakes on the rest, if I over look that one mistake... so, I HAVE to fix it.
I think that's why I couldn't get enthused about finishing that seat.

Now, on to the next news... Kristi has decided not to go home yet... I have no clue how long she's going to be here now... we're gonna take it one day at a time... Her and Mike are acting like Brother and Sister now... teasing, and fighting, and banning together to get me to agree to do something... just like siblings...
It is so good to see her laugh, and have a good time... she spends way to much time alone at home ... sulking, and being depressed.

Well... Don and his partner are taking turns this week going home early... tonight is his turn to leave early... so, he should be home any time now. I think I'll go start pulling out staples so I can fix that cover.

I think that sounds like a good idea BJ just be careful wtih pulling out those staples no more band aids on your arms ok LOL

It thundering here now so not sure how long I'll be able to stay online if it starts to storm.

Cookie if I haven't said so I'm sorry to hear about your dad too. Dragonlady that reminds me of my grandmothers. My mom's mom was stricken with Alzheimer, my dad's mom was stricken with Osteoporosis. Mom's mom's body was fine but she couldn't think, my dad's mom's mind was sharp as a tack but her body was shot. Very strange how come that works.

I had this long ole post typed up then my Firefox crashed, when I went to restore my session my satellite was out for a few minutes for upgrades so I lost the whole thing. I was telling everyone on my prayer list, and naming names in case I miss someone (I don't want to miss anyone!) how much I care and love ya'll!

Yet another tragedy needing prayers... please.
I just got home from the ER... my oldest DGD was in a bad accident tonight... the storm that came through here around 9pm put a tree on the car she was in with a friend. She was sitting in the passenger seat, and the tree came through the windshield... she was the only one hurt in the car.
We don't think it's critical at this time... she has lost several teeth, and has a lot of scratches on her face, arms, and legs... large gash on one knee and it's swollen twice it's normal size. We don't know the results of the xrays yet to know about the injury to her forehead.

She'll probably be released tonight sometime... wee hours of the morn, most likely... and I will probably spend most of the day over at her house tomorrow doing what I can to keep things together there. So, I'll probably not be online.

I know all of you have loved ones in much more critical situations... and my prayers are with you and yours.

Sorry I’ve been off so much recently. I haven’t been having access to the internet except when I’m in escapism mode. I should be on more once summer break starts.

Well, the smoking thing has hit a stumbling block… again. We’ve been having some fairly serious money issues and I’ve fallen back to smoking; still less than I was before, but not very good. I’m working on trying a different way to cut down; we’ll see.

On the good wishes/prayers front, I’d really appreciate if you’d add a thought for me getting a good job; I can use any help I can get. I've sent my prayers out for everyone, I'm sorry to see how many need them.

On a happier note, my yard is beginning to look like something. If the seeds/weeds will ever get high enough I can tell the difference between the two. I also have several plants I put in. I got my herb garden set up. I also finally got my fountain/pond set up so it works; the plants need to grow in, but here it is. I’m hoping to get it set up so I can have a couple fish in there, just little feeders, but something. Sage would be thrilled.

BJ prayers goin up for her and the family I hope things are okay from the X-rays.
I just looked out side and all my cone flowers, devils trumpet are laying over but I haven't gone out to look at anything else yet since it is thundering and lightening again.

I hope my Millie is being a good girl for ya.

Laura,the fountain is beautiful......I'm sure Sage will be tickle,she seems to be a very beautiful appreciative pleasant little girl.Praying about the smoking,I depend on those nasty things to deal with stress.....and also praying for you and a job!!!!! With me not being able to work it has put us in such a financial bind,setting here right now trying to check charge cards to see if I have enough to get my prescriptions,will need the new ones tomorrow.Rick got paid yesterday and after paying bills I have $14 in the bank and $60 in hand.And Ryan called last night and said he doesn't get paid until Friday and has to work,He sounds terrible ,has such a cold and sinus.So as his momma I don't want him to be sick ,so I need to put at least $10 in his checking so he can get head medicine.It's easy for me to say it will be OK,but I have to tell myself that daily.Seems like I have lived my life on a hope and a prayer.And it's funny one way or another we seem to make it,stressful,but make it.I keep telling myself that God never puts forth anything we can't handle ,but sometimes I think the man thinks I'm a linebacker!!!!

I have a ton of work to do so I won't be on today. Washing machine repair guy is supposed to come back out today, hope they call and give me enough time to be home, it's a 30 to 45 minute drive, depending upon traffic.

BJ, so sorry to hear about your DGD.

Had a good workout at Curves this am.Burned up 607 calories and according to Mom's scales I've lost another 2 pounds. I think I'm the only there that breaks a sweat. I just don't understand why those other ladies waste $40 a month to chit chat, geez. When they are done with their "workout" they aren't even breathing hard. Oh well, I'm there to lose unwanted pounds not to visit.

Another cool day so I'm going back out in the garden. Finished my RW&B so will get that in the mail on Tues (payday).

Hello, Ladies - I hope you won't mind a "newbie" coming in. I'll add all of you and your families to my prayer list also and send hugs out to you. We all can always use extra prayers, but I know that God is big enough to handle them all.

Here in the middle of South Carolina, we are just beginning our hot, muggy, unstable summer weather patterns. Our high today should get to 94-96 but our humidity levels usually run high and so we have frequent afternoon and evening thunderstorms and rain - got an inch of rain last night in about 2 hours or so. I have to try to get my outside work done in the mornings and my inside work done after lunch in midday-afternoon. Then I go back outside until storms run me back in. I have about an acre of daylilies and other perennial plants and am trying nearly an acre of truck crops this year. I have been teaching for the last 5 years, but will not be going back. At least plants, flowers and the crops don't talk back and smart off the way most teenagers will! LOL Out on the farm, it's just peaceful and pretty quiet.

I can relate to the health problems, job and financial problems, smoking and dieting problems. Those kinds of things are all too familiar to most of us. And it does make a big difference when we all pray for each other - even for those we don't personally know. God knows each one of us and our problems and our needs. We just keep each other lifted up to Him.

I have enjoyed reading all of y'all's postings and seeing the photos. I hope you all don't mind if I join in from time to time.

Doctors called and Murdock's cancer is "squamous cell lung cancer" which is TREATABLE!!!
Treatable is the operative word.. and the next sentence is....
Thank you Jesus! followed by this sentence....
Thank you for your prayers, sistahs and nieces!
The cancer cells are slow growth, and we'll know the plans of attack in a couple of weeks.

Doing the happy dance here. Now we're waiting on BJ's report.
