and she was starting to doze in her craft room...hahahahaha...the kids are loaded the dish washer and are cleaning up the kitchen so all she has to do is make it up out of her chair and into her shower LOL

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Too funny, Phyllis... sending me a text message to wake me up...
LOL
That shower did feel very good, though... I'm about 10# lighter.

Sorry to hear that your Mom had problems with the PET dye, Marion. Willl be looking forward to hearing what they will do now. I know how tired you must be. Try and get some rest and know that we are here giving you support and hugs.

Whips and chains, we are getting a little kinky down in old Texas. But if it FINALLY gets the boat seats done I guess it was worth it. What color are they? You two are having too much fun for a work crew. Maybe we shuld have done those boat seats when we all were there to give you advice and keep you on task!

Jaye, tell Kell to hang in there. I'm sure this is rough on both of you. Sometimes medicine moves so slowly and they don't tell you anything. Makes life very frustrating. All will be clear soon.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Jaye, praying for you and Kel, and especially Dock.

Marion, praying for Mom and you and Sis.

Cody, praying for the little Angel..

Sorry I've been missing...had our Ohio RU on Saturday, went on a Garden tour on Sunday and have been trying to get plants in the ground from the RU...almost finished now. Just saw two that I'd missed and it's raining now, so they will have to wait for awhile.

Got some bad news about my Dad last night. He said he hasn't been feeling well and thought he might have walking pneumonia. Well, at his Dr.s appt yesterday, the Doc said, no walking pneumonia, but his heart is a MESS and needs to see his cardiologist ASAP. He said he just hasn't had any energy. I was so hoping after his new heart valve and his knee surgery that he would be back to his old self...guess when you're 91 stuff is just wearing out. I'm trying to stay calm about it, cause there is really nothing I can do, but it hurts my heart for sure.

I picked snow pea pods for my salad last night. They are so yummy.

Got news that my SIL and clan are stopping and staying with us for 3 days on their way to a family reunion in Colorado. She's the vegetarian and is almost vegan. This should be fun! I'll just let her do all the cooking! Anyone have any good recipes?

My friend, Bertie gave me excellent news. Their friends that live in Eaton have all the flat rocks for the waterfall I will need. Now we just have to find a time to go get them. That's one of the things we've been waiting on. We don't want to put the liner in before we do all the waterfall work, cause we don't want all that dirt falling in on top of the liner.

Hugs to all!! ♥♥♥

Morning everyone. Coffee is on, come and get it while it is Hot!
Geesh, where is everyone? Jaye, still sending prayers for FIL! Please let us know how he is doing? Kathy where are you today? How is everyone up your way?
Marion, keep us posted when you can about your Mom.
Bj, Phyllis, you two are so bad... You need to sit down, and just get those seats done! Then you can go play on the jet ski's, and chase the puppy!
Off to do some sewing.
LK

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

We're not bad we are good girls.
the heat and humidity can sure drain ya too.
Besides by me goin out with the kids on the jet skis that gave BJ time to rest a lil since the porch does get pretty warm in the day.

And as for the whips and chains hey all y'all started that we just helped ti along.
and yes I did send BJ a text message last night as she was in the craft room and I was in the living room and she was awful quiet so I knew she was fallin asleep as I was too LOL a hard day at work wore us out LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Gosh, I wish I'm at BJ's. Envy you Phyllis. And where is Gwen??

Hi ladies, I'll be doing the disappearing acts more frequent now.
Yah Janice, we practically have to pry the doctors' mouths open for information :(

Cookie, I'll add your dad to our prayers, and the church's too.
So sorry your mum had a bad reaction to the dye, Maid M. Hope she'll recover from that quick.

Last night, I managed to skim through the posts, both on RWB and here. Too tired to respond, but did remember that Hope43's son had a heart attack and his kidneys are not functioning. So please pray for him. When we think we have it bad, there's always someone somewhere setting us back in reality.

Oh yeah Cookie, just to let you know, I was a vegetarian in the 80's for 4 years!! The two T's are my main protein. Tempeh and Tofu. But please dear sistah.. just like at BJ's.... I expect MEAT at your home next year :D

Cody, I think your second dl is Spider Miracle. I have it, and the flowers are more than 6 inches wide. The scapes are about 36 inches tall.

I should be sewing.. but hate to start something and having to stop halfway...

Dock is discharged this morning. The doctors could not decide on the next procedure for him. They are so tightlipped about it.
.
We're praying that the cancer hasn't spread to his lymph nodes. So hoping for the only removal surgery possible.. wedge resection, on account of his emphysema.
Doctors also said he'll be treated at another hospital. I hope it is soon.

And thanks for all the armwraps or giant hugs. I wasn't alone yesterday. Kel felt your love too.

What would I do without you!!

well, caught up on a bit of reading. I'm sending prayers for everyone.

Phyllis, I can just picture you now! ROTHFL

Japanese iris now in bloom, and I haven't taken a single photo!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Just a drop in to wish everyone a good day.......my continued prayers for the many in need today.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Cookie, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. Yes, it is heartbreaking to see our parents grow elderly and encounter the problems they have. I spoke with Mom earlier this morning and she sounds good but is absolutely worn out from all the adventures of yesterday. Sending hugs, love and prayers your way Cookie!!

Jaye, I so understand where you and Kel are now!! When will doctors learn it is the not knowing rather than the knowing that can sometimes be so stressful on a family. You all too are being sent hugs, love and huge prayers!!

Oh how Kinky that Texas group has gotten. Beginning to wonder about you gals. LOL

I have more or less scanned through everything as I must confess to being a little tired. The episode yesterday took everything out of all of us. Mom having the reaction at the place where she went for the scan, doctors and nurses from who knows where appearing to help (11 at one time trying to squeeze into the room with her) being sent by ambulance to the hospital to be admitted to watch the reaction and treat the UTI that wasn't responding, being sent home (40 mile drive) by the ER doctors who argued with me she was to be admitted; got home doctor's office called and wanting to know where in the h--- Mom was; driving her back to the hospital (40 miles back); checking her in and finally getting home about 9ish last night. Perfectly normal day for everyone.

Please everyone take care and I hope the next news posted will be good news for all. Prayer going up for everyone here.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Hey ya know if all y'all are getting worried about us Texans y'all can come on down and help out LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Please Bonnie, grace this page with beautiful iris blooms!

Thanks Trisha, Cedric's having fun with the French kids and Shoney. We might have to get a larger suitcase for him.

Maid M.. this is us:
Quilters aren't greedy, they're just materialistic!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I am tempted Phyllis.. but the nut houses are already all booked up!!!

Try to rest too Maid M. Your legs need it!! BTW, I got some lemon pound cakes from Schwan's.. not as good as yours.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Not only that Jaye.....

God Bless the Quilters...
They keep us from going to pieces.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Love it Jaye. Describes us perfectly. In fact after seeing Mom this afternoon, I am going to take a quick trip to a quilt shop here.
To kind about the lemon cake, but I love it anyways. BTW, Kel sure looks like his Dad! Oh forgot to tell you I have a new doctor in Havana and he has put me on meds for the knee and the best part: THEY WORK!!! Kim is amazed at how I get around now, swelling gone and I can actually bend the knee. Something to be very thankful for.

Well Phyllis I would love to come back to Texas but right now our plates are full. Some major decisions will need to be made regarding our Mom and her ability to get around. We will cross that bridge one step at a time.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good one there Trisha!
I think this is for all of us..
"When life gives you scraps - make a quilt."

What's the name of the pill Maid M?
Me think you got a package for the RWB swap.

His older brother James looks exactly like Murdock. Kel takes after his Mum.

Phyllis thanks for sharing those pics, now that I've found some old/some new pics I need to do a collage like that. Gorgeous family!

I need to get back to work, my lunch is settling and if I don't start now I may never! I'll try to catch up later this evening.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Jaye, it is precription strength Advil I think. Will get the name later.

Oh my can't wait to get home but that all depends on how Mom is doing.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Joyce, so sorry to hear about your Dad. Do hope they are keeping him comfortable?
Jaye, thanks for the update on Dock. Hope the Dr.'s, can figure out what to do soon!

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Cookie so sorry to hear aboutyour Dad. It was hard to see my step-Mom; her mind just as lively as every could be but her body just was giving out day after day. The only good thing about it was it gave her kids and my Dad a chance to get used to letting her go gradually. Never easy but it gave everyone a little time to say the things that were important. The kids and grandkids took turns visiting and bringing her favorite foods and snack and chatting a bit. Much nicer than my Mom's here today and gone tomorrow; that was REALLY hard on Dad.

Makes me wonder how my kids will treat me? With everyone scattered it isn't like my step-mom when everyone is right there in the same town. Also, the hospital problems that some of you are having make me think I want to be near a good hospital and find a doctor I can like and trust. None of those things are easy to come by.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Hush, LK... I get enough of that right here... LOL...
Here's why we can't get anything done....
First, I'm not an early morning person... after several cups of coffee, and when the clock nears around noon... I finally feel like getting things done... well, by then, it's already 80 something degrees, and too hot to get it done.
I knew that before Phyllis came, and was going to move our work tables inside the dining area so we have air conditioning... BUT, then I have my DGD here too, and Mike... and everyone would be crowded walking around in here... so, it's all still out on the sun porch... and it is HOT out there.

We have had a good visit, though... and when the kids get too pushy, Phyllis has been busy with this.

Mike's still looking for his new sun glasses he dropped down there somewhere.

Janice... I wonder about the same thing... all the time...

Jaye... I do hope the FIL gets along alright... please keep us updated. Still in my prayers.

AWWW Judy... so sad... ((((( girlfriend )))))... I know you'll miss your feathered friend a lot.

Now... let me see what I can get done while they're all out on the water.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

So much sadness here today. Thanks heavens for sistahs!!!! Cookie I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad and will send soft prayers and hugs.
Judy, blessings for your heart as well.
Marion, I'm so glad Mom is where she will get the help she needs.
And Jaye, the lung resection is what my Norm just went through. It is a doable operation and with time he will be okay. I'm praying the same for your FIL.
BUT on the good side Marilyn is still smoke free, Laura is still trying, my Norm is doing better too. Take care everyone and hold tight to all the hugs, thoughts and prayers being sent your way.

Hello,
Man, so sad to read all the illnesses and lost birdie. Saying prayers for you all, Jaye, Marion,Cookie,Judy .

Barb, so glad to hear Norm is doing good. Mom is doing okay. Eye still a little blurry I have to keep reminding her that her new eye won't work properly with her old glasses, lol. She will get new glasses when we get back from Oregon. The weather here has been very cool, it will make traveling to Oregon nice as there is one place up the road aways that gets really hot. Took my mom's pom to vet this am. She has a bad cough. Come to find out that is common with poms, he gave me some meds to help suppress the cough.

I'd like to be at BJ's too. I want to ride the skidoos ^_^ Will have my grandaughter tomarrow. She wanted to know when we could make some more sun catchers again. Now I have to hide the Barbie doll house furniture. Rick will finish the house by Sat (hopefully) he is so slow. Need to send someone to light a fire under his butt ^_^

I got eight of the nine Brugs transplanted, I need to get the rest of my big planters that are over at Rick's then I can finish planting.

Need to finish RW&B swap pressie and one other thing today so I will

TTYL ^_^

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Good to hear from you Cindy. Sounds like things are going well. I'm glad Mom is doing good. Very quiet here, I'm sewing and playing here and DH is napping. I guess that's part of the healing process!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

GIANT ARMWRAP FOR SISTAH JUDY.
Feather is up there enjoying riding on Power's winds....

How old is the pom, Cindy? Tell your mum not to aggravate those new eyes with old glasses.

Yep, me too wish I'm back at BJ's. Got too much right now.. perhaps I can turn an acre here into a lake? More like a mud pond!!

Time to get my 3rd bottle of minerals. Need to do double doses now. All is almost back to normal until he returns to the hospital. It will be in 2 weeks, seems that is the only opening they have for him. It will be at a cancer specialty hospital in Loris.
So, my prayer book looks kinda popular right now. Thank goodness God doesn't set limits on the number of folks we can pray for ;)
Amen!

Will be back this evening. Have a good evening everyone!

Jaye, Sadie celebrated her 16th b-day on May 13. The doc told mom is was okay to wear her old glasses. Especially to keep things out of her eye. She has to wear an eye patch at night so that she doesn't rub it.

i don't get on very often because mom has dial-up and it is sooooooooooooo slooooooooooooowww and I have nooooooooooooooooooo patience, lol.

Back to my crafting ^_^

Coushatta, LA

Hi all......Thanks Cookie.

Jaye,i hope they can do something soon.My prayer and thoughts are still with you and the family.

Judy, sorry to hear about your bird.

Hope everyone haves a bless and enjoy.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

I can report that BJ did not get any sewing on the seat done while we were out on the water...she may have taken a nap though ...LOL

I did want to have one seat totally done before leaving but ya can't force things to be done when your not in the mood as that is when problems occur.
I did have a great time and Kristi and Mike I think liked having me there to go out with them so grandma could stay home and do her work.

now I have to finish getting my stuff ready for my trip to Austin for the bus rodeo so I'll try to pop in while there since I'm taking the laptop with.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye you be careful with the Minerals......as I recall BJ said not to exceed the recommended dose or it could cause problems.....we Do Not need you having any problems!!!!

(((hugs and prayers))) to all.......please add an extra prayer for Laura to your list.....she is trying to find a job and there is just nothing to be had around here.....they are in pretty bad shape financially right now with her not working and aside from covering her one main prescription we just don't have anything extra to offer them.... We are barely making our own bills right now....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hi Cody. Sorry I missed your call. How's Angel?

Phyllis, you and BJ are having too much fun!! I am pretty sure Kristi and Mike will miss you. Maybe you'll return after your Austin trip?

Has anyone heard from Susan *TurtleChi*? Has the rats scared her away? Ohhh Susan...

Donna, missing on your chatter sistah. Hope all is well with you and Max and the kids..

Gonna just read a book for a bit before I hit the sack early. It's gonna be another early morning tomorrow and Kel will need my help again

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh boy.. I got two bottles.. guess I can refrigerate one.
Thanks for the warning Trisha.

Certainly will add Laura to the list. How is she doing with her commitment to quit smoking?
