Comments regarding Paradise Garden

Daylilies were wonderful, calla lilies are starting to come up from planting and were in good shape. Still waiting for things to arrive that ship later in the year but so far everything has been very good quality. I don't understand the negative comment from someone complaining about the lilies coming from Oakes Daylilies via Paradise gardens. I find the prices to be exactly the same ordering from either place when comparing same lily to lily. Paradise just has lots of other plants to choose from besides the lilies.

In January I ordered a clematis from Paradise Gardens, and specifically requested that it be shipped on Monday of the third week in April. Wondering where it was today, I emailed them. They said: "The clematis are scheduled to ship May 10th. That's when the supplier determined it was best for your growing zone."

I garden in a specific microclimate that I know well but they don't, which is why I specified a particular shipping date. They've had since January to tell me they wouldn't send it when I requested that it be sent, but chose to wait till I complained. I canceled my order and ordered from another vendor.

I placed my order of daylillies, begonias, geranium,
cannas, clematis, iris, and hostas and have received
most of them just like they said very quickly. The
rest will come later at planting time. This company has renwed my faith in plant catologue companies. They sent
high quality stock timely and in very good condition.
They have beautiful, hard to find plants, and so far have impressed me. I will buy more. Thank You.

Could not find a specific weigela bush at local nurseries so I placed my first order with paradise and received the bush within a week and I was very happy with the size and quality received!

This was my first purchase and definitely impressed with the size of Butterfly Bush. The plant was received in excellent condition. Can easily see there is a lot of pride taken in service, quality and delivery. There is also an interesting selection of plants and shrubs not commonly found.

Fast shipment. Great looking lily. Looking forward to watching it bloom. Thank you.

I received my Blue Muffin Viburnum shrubs within 4 days, which was much sooner than expected. (I had indicated "Please ship ASAP" on my order.) I was impressed with the sturdy cardboard packaging, which ensured that my plants arrived via UPS in perfect condition. The plants were large, healthy-looking, and had buds on them. I am very excited to see how these shrubs perform, with white blooms in the spring and an abundunce of blue berries in the fall. Overall, I'm very pleased with my first Paradise Garden order.

Plants were received in a timely fashion, they were large and healthy. Would definately order from them again.

I found that the website was very easy to navigate in. I have just received my first order with Paradise Gardens and the Butterfly plant looks great! I can't wait to see the blue color they raved about! I will and have ordered again.

Just received my first order of daylilies and could not be more pleased. The packing was excellent and the roots in top shape! I will certainly order from them again and again.

I ordered a daylily which came within a week of my ordering, and was in very good shape. I am anxiously awaiting to see it grow and bloom.

Ordered Syringa 'Miss Kim' last year. They e-mailed me to let me know would not be shipped directly from them but would be sent from NY (I liked that they told me this). Plants were huge: over 2ft tall & now budding. Also ordered Daff's, Hyacinths & Oriental lilies; they sent extra Daff & Lily bulbs. I changed my order 3 times & they replied every time within 24hrs. Just placed another order with them for 10 roses + a Hibiscus and expect to be pleased...shall advise!

My second year ordering with Paradise Gardens. I find the website to be very easy to navigate, and like the comprehensive information provided for each plant. When one of my bulbs arrived last year in bad shape, it was immediately replaced.
One improvement that would be appreciated: A way to track the deliveries & status of the order. Right now, there is no way to see what is arriving at what time. Other than that Paradise Gardens is great.

Plant arrived on time in excelent condition. Can't wait to see it bloom.

I have purchased from Paradise Garden for the past 5 years. I have been very impressed with the size and quality of their plants. Two years ago, one of my perennials died and they promptly replaced it. For my money, they are one of the best values in gardening.

I was disappointed by two aspects of my dealings with Paradise. They have a really nice website that I found easy to navigate, and they promised a minimum of 3 fans, so I ordered from them. Issue #1: When my plants arrived, they were sent from Oakes Daylilies. The plants were in fine shape, with multiple fans, and I was pleased -- until I checked the Oakes website and discovered their prices are about HALF of that charged by Paradise. Yikes!!! (I was informed by Oakes that they don't fill a Paradise order any differently than one of their own -- same # of fans, etc.) So -- caveat emptor. Do your research before you order!
Issue #2: When I attempted to contact Paradise, leaving THREE SEPARATE voicemails at their customer service number, my calls were never returned (and it's 3 months later). VERY disappointing!

I ordered peony's and some other bulbs and was very happy about how big and healthy looking they were and now I will wait for spring to see how they grow. The plants were all shipped nicely and protected with paper to cushion them during transport. I would definitely purchase again from Paradise Garden

I ordered a Weigela 'Midnight Wine' shrub which should only grow 18-24" tall/24-26" wide for my small front garden. I recived a very nice shrub in 8 days, which was already at least 24" tall. An email to Paradise Gardens confirmed my suspicions that I received the Weigela 'Wine and Roses' in error, instead of the one I ordered. Paradise Gardens had a 'Midnight Wine' shipped to me within 5 days and told me to keep the 'Wine and Roses' for the trouble.
Then I later ordered two clematis from them and received very healthy plants within 8 days again. The packing was wonderful. I was extremely happy to have such fast service in September and October, due to the unpredictability of Zone 5 weather. I will definitely order from them again. Thank you, Paradise Gardens.

I have ordered several different types of plants from Paradise Garden and have found the service, the plant size and quality, and the packaging ,far far better than all the other mail-order plant web-sites that I have used! I can definitely give them the highest recommendation!

I ordered bulbs on Sep. 14. since then I havn't received anything. I contacted them via e-mail but no responce about when I receive shipment.

I am very pleased with my order of daylilies that arrived promptly. They are healthy, very large divisions - Quite a surprise compared to other companies I have dealt with in the past. I will certainly order from them again.

I have just received my first package of day lilies...I couldn't believe they came so quickly. They are large plants, very healthy, and I am looking forward to getting in the ground tomorrow!

Just received ten peony roots , carefully packaged and in excellent condition, shipment delayed exactly as requested. The roots are exceptionally large, each with several plump growth buds. Living in Texas, I requested late fall delivery of my iris order & am happy to say they responded exactly as I wanted. I ordered 11 iris and received an abundance of free iris and every one of them were large and well-formed. Very well packed and labeled. I will gladly use them again!!!

I ordered from this nursery a few times this fall and have not received any plants or bulbs that I was unhappy with. This company is way up there on my praise list along with Song Sparrow. I ordered Ellens Blue butterfly bush from Paradise and it came packed like it was the MOST fragile plant in the world. The Miami Hurricanes football team could have tackled that box and it still would have been alright. They also noted on my invoice that the plant was dormant so I wouldn't worry about it's condition. I love this company, one of my very best favorites!

Ordered two iris, plus one package of tulips. Iris rhizomes are the biggest and best looking I have ever seen. I'm hoping for spectacular blooms. Also received one free iris. Haven't opened the tulips yet--still a little early here--we usually plant around Thanksgiving. Customer service prompt to answer questions. Definitely a class place.

I placed an $85.00 order on 9/9 and did receive a few bulbs and one Hosta. But four weeks later 10/6 I still have not recieved the $35.00 hydrangea which really racked up the shipping charges. I've emailed and left several messages on their answering machine but NO RESPONSE. Perhaps they will see this message and respond so I don't have to contact my credit card company...

I ordered a Daylily from Paradise Garden. It's been in the ground about 2 weeks now and has lots and lots of new green growth on it. I ordered 2 Iris and recieved four huge healthy rhizomes. I am very happy with Paradise Garden and will order from them again.

Now I have only to look forward to my pink bearded iris bed next spring. My order arrived quickly...5 pink bearded irises. The plants are very nice with surprising fresh green tops. The instructions were included and are very well stated. Thanks, Paradise Garden. I look forward to going business with you again.

Ordered 4 daylilies and 10 iris. The daylily divisions were very robust, with three or more fans each. Better than any I've ever seen. They sent me 16 iris rhizomes -- 6 freebies! The rhizomes again were very robust. The plants came from Sutton's, a superior grower. A very satisfying experience all around.

This is the second order of daylillies I've received from Paradise Gardens. Just as with the first order, these plants were exceptionally large and healthy -- and the bonus plant was a real plus. I was thrilled with the outstanding bloom performance of my first order plants and am sure I can count on the same performance from these plants.

I ordered 3 iris plants for my garden. Shortly thereafter, I received 6 iris plants that were packed securely. They arrived healthy and with easy to plant instructions. I am so pleased with these plants. I planted them and now 2 weeks later, they are showing new growth. I will be ordering from you in the future.

I received my peony tubers the other day and they looked very healthy and solid. I can't wait to see what happens next spring!

I placed my order on 9/9 and received a very nice double fanof Pumpkin kid in 2 days! However, today, 9/29 I am still waiting for the rest of the order

I have recently received my order for buckeye belle peonies and was very impressed with the quality of the bulb/tubers. The packing was clean, neat and arrived in good shape. The tubers/bulbs themselves were of the highest quality I have ever received and certainly the biggest specimens I have ever received. I was very impressed with your company. Of course, the telling will be in the plant itself at bloom time, but I have no doubts it will be beautiful and well on its way to established when that time arrives. I would recommend you to anyone with the certainty you would back up my boasts. THANK YOU!!!

I recieved my order of Syringa 'Miss Kim' yesterday. Although UPS couldn't seem to find my house, my plant was in extremly good condition even though it sat in a warehouse for 5 extra days. The plant is a nice size for a mail-order company. I will tell gardening friends about Paradise Gardens. I look forward to ordering from them again.

Paradise Gardens has, as always, sent me healthy and substantial plants. The daylilies are large enough to divide, and the buddleia arrived well packaged and vigorous -- the decorative grasses too. The website is easy to use except that it takes a long time to choose from the varieties of plants because they all look good! Many thanks.
