Thanks Pixie - It will be better next year hopefully. I purchased and planted it recently so it only got two blooms.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Hawaiian Coral is a nice one!

I see Van Bourgondien (Dutch Bulbs) has one called 'Pink Hawaiian Coral'

http://www.dutchbulbs.com/store/peonies/15896

Looks WAY more coral-ly in their photo. I wonder if they don't "shift" the color a bit on these web photos to entice you. TOBAL

Here is my happiest Lupine before it got more blooms and knocked down from rain.

Yup that's one in the same I just couldn't remember off the top of my head what order hawaiian, Pink and Coral went! : )

It looks more coral on pics in the plant files too. Maybe it is just my soil making it this color?

Well, Here is YOUR picture COLORSHIFTED to almost the exact same "Coral" color V B has

Whatcha Think?

Things that make you go hmmmmmmm ........

Soil, amount of nutrients, type of nutrients, amount of sun or shade .... probably all play a part of coloration.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

WNYwilleB, Nice example of why I always check to see if pictures are in PF, as those are less likely to be doctored. I was trying to take pictures at Boojums and my pictures of several of her iris were way off too. They came out either too purple instead of blue or the other way around. So don't trust me either. I think my new Paeony Pink Hawaiian Coral is about to bloom, so I will see if it is pink or coral or if it fades to coral after starting Pink. They covered their bases with that name.

Robindog, love that shot of Modern's sunrise, mine is about to bloom, but a little behind you.

Pixie, love the hibiscus and begonia choices. What does Sophia think? Carrot colors.............ummmmmmmm? Maybe the big guy is a total pushover or has been brainwashed by Da Bunny.

A few other kids out yesterday. Sib Sultan's Ruby, Tweedia, Dutch Iris Symphony, Geranium Splish Splash, and Sib Mesa Pearl.

Out to weed a very messy bed of horribe nut grass. grrrrrrrrrrrr. Patti

Willie can you come here and color shift them in the garden too? Lol That is an awesome example! : )

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

NUTGRASS!!!
The worst weed ever. Impossible to get rid of.
Good luck
Patti the Picasa is becoming second hand. Thanks for your self - cropping tip.

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Yup I had quite a little experience with nut grass, still pulling it now too.
I went out and got some more pics. THis one is a cool plant - Scutulleria I can look up the exact one in my journal. Too lazy to do it unless someone asks. : )

Ge1836, I have noticed that you have been zooming along with it.

Meredith, I think many of us have been battling it for years. I many beds here it is slowly being defeated one little white root at a time. I will win, someday. Patti

Patti that is beautiful! That Baptisia looking plant isn't a Sophia is it? If it is it puts my puny little plant to shame. : )

Had a hard time getting a good one of the Penstemon grandiflorus - again. The sun was shining through the trees right behind it. Here's the best I could do.

Amsonia Blue Ice with a single white lupine that I got from a blue seed pack. And BRadbury Monarda again. : )

Oops sorry for that - I fixed the exposure but forgot to save it before I sent it.

Meredith I grew some Penstemon grandiflorus from seed last year... still going.. but not bloom size yet.. can't wait

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

I remember you talking about them - I was disapointed when they didn't bloom their second year. Same thing happened with these red ones. This is their third year from seed and I'm finally getting some blooms. Even still a couple plants haven't bloomed! The hummers have been on these every day. : )

Luvly blooms this morning from the early birds. I luv the blue iris! I get so frustrated with the colour thing. Alot of 'reds' often turn out to be dar pink especially in roses. The Hawaiian Coral definitely make me go hmmmmm.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I grew iron maiden this year as well.. it's red also.. so tiny still though

Pixie.. .. Lovely begonias!
Meredith.. All the flower pics are lovely, but I really like the one of the catepillar!

Maybe Willie can color shift the nut grass into something pretty? lol. Good luck pulling it. Mine always comes back, but it pales compared to the knotweed, so I rarely think all that much of it...... but it is a royal pain in the butt.
