Today's Weather in Your Garden - 47

Thomaston, CT

Oooh, sounds wonderful, Louise! How can I describe the weather, & not get booted off this site? I guess there's no way---took my Mom shopping, to the drugstore, to lunch---my rain jacket soaked through, & is still wet! The wind is blowing the rain sideways---when I stopped for gas, had to wipe rain out of my eyes to read the final price----

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

it was a terrible day... flooding everywhere (makes it a tough one when you drive most of the day).... looks like they changed our forecast for tomorrow.. saying it's going to be clear now

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Maria - haven't you heard that it is bad luck to vacuum and do housework on rainy days??!!! LOL (I always avoid bad luck where I can! You should too!) You are very wise to resist the "urge"....LOL HaHaHa!!!

Oh, No, Marie.......!! I hope the forecast changes! Have a great vacation! Take lots of books in case it does rain.

Allison.......hope it turns around tomorrow for all of us! We have Grandson #1's kindergarten graduation on the agenda! We NEED sun. LOL

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I think Victor is pretty busy with the plans for his parents 50th aniversary party this weekend. I'm sure he'll pop in tomorrow.

Dark with light rain. But I can get a couple of new shrubs planted, I think. Patti

South Hamilton, MA

Hear that noise on the roof all night? I think someone may be pitching pebbles up there to grab attention.

Marilyn Glen st. Mar, FL(Zone 9a)

and THE THUNDER ROLLS!!!!!!!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

mcrochet, are you up in our neck of the woods? Now just cloudy and cool. Patti

Marilyn Glen st. Mar, FL(Zone 9a)

No, in Florida

New Milford, CT

The next time I see the sun ... if there IS a next time ... I'll probably die of fright from the big, strange light in the sky. [scowl]

Now, if I were a mushroom farmer, I'd be over the moon. If I could see it, which I probably couldn't because it's rainy, cold and cloudy every night, too.

Did I mention that I'm FED UP with this rainy weather? Overall that's all we've had since March. And this is coming from someone who enjoys rainy days.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Very humid today! Went outside to cut some flowers for a bouquet and was attacked by skeeters. Glad I had on long sleeves and pants. Currently 68, but going up to 80's.

edited to add:
Feels like we should be in the PNW with all the rain.

Well(whispering) at least it's not raining and I see a patch of blue(don't want to scare it away).
Very humid(73%) and party cloudy. 71 high of 80

South Hamilton, MA

Rain yesterday afternoon, all night, with a small break this morning, raining now. Never mind the weeds. I worry if iris seed pods will rot, stalks must be cut & possible bortrytis on the peonies--weeds are the least of possible problems; we have through Oct. to take care of those.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Not raining most of the day, I got my planting done. Patti

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

lied, now raining. Patti

Raining hard now, but cool. However it looks like it will be a short burst. I hate the heat. Patti

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

I am not complaining....I am not complaining.....I am not complaining...
I also do NOT like heat or humidity.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Rain this morning, torrents on our way to get DD and horse from camp. Stopped, high humidity and now cooler and looking like rain again. What a day!

Thomaston, CT

It did NOT rain here today---YAY! We saw sun! Crabgrass, I was close to you today---went to New Preston to get a gift certificate at Hopkin's Inn---the sun almost blinded me! Mcrochet---sorry about the heat, but you're talking to folks who haven't hit 80 in 2 months! But I don't like that kind of heat, either!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Maria - you are a woman after my own heart! I laughed so hard when you mentioned working so hard at getting the mail and eating every naughty thing you could find. Yay! Sounds like you dodged the bad luck!!!

mcrochet - You be safe down there in that extreme heat. I still get a weather alert from Fla. on my email since we spend the winter in south Fla., and I read that very warning you mentioned.....yikes. Keep your a/c on!!

Allison - thanks to you......the weather was just fine for the Big Event. Tee hee....kindergarten graduation....now that's some big event!!!

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Felt very sad to see what all that rain has done when a whole branch of a peony broke, so I just added some Mountain Laurel and Valerian.
