I'm back..... Sorry I missed breakfast ladies, it sounded like a good one. I had to go out of town abrutly this weekend and then it took me all morning to catch up.
BJ, I was reading about your bruggs. The ones you gave me did the same thing and I had them in full sun also. Moved them yesterday.
Stacey, glad to see you finally made it back and as far as Kristi coming to visit you... I put her on the plane this morning. Done
Rosegirl, Cute cute cute duck. What is the purple and yello flower pic you posted? The next picture said a Night Beacon? Are they the same? I really like the dark purple and yellow that is very pretty.
Countrymom, Welcome to our crazy tread... I think Synda did a pretty good evaluation of us.
Marion, you said you don't know if you can wait another year. I definetly don't want to wait a whole year. I started saving all my pennies and dollars for the Ohio trip. I can't wait.
Laura, Good Luck on the quitting smoking. It is hard but you can do it. Pray alot....
Synda, ROFLMAO... oh my that was the best evaluation I think I have ever heard. We may all be crazy middle aged women but we all have one thing in common , "We are sistah's". I love my new sistah's and I missed all of you this weekend.
Jaye, Saw the pic of Dallas and he looks MUCH better. Tell Kel I think he makes a good daddy.
I see Kris finally made it also.. Hello Kris. Did you have a nice trip home?
Hugs and Kisses to all...
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞142
BJ, who is Millie? The chihuahua? Isn't it Cookies dog?
Oh Chris,
I think moving to Iowa is a smart thing to do. You will be surrounded by your family and it will make things alot easier for you, and you will be happy too. Don't forget to post pix of that new grandbaby when it gets here. We love babies ya know!!!
Gonna get to work now that I have spent 2 hours catching up on all that I missed. Man, can't even leave for a weekend without getting withdrawals. LOL
Good Morning Jaye!
You get some rest and drink plenty of water, add some fresh lemmon. Fatigue can make you ill.
Chris, yes, I offer giant armwraps to you as well. I was glad to see though you decided to move close to your children.
That in itself is such a major decision, but I bet you will be glad for it and them too.
LOL, well...Phylis and marion could have easily made a trade..hmmmm merry man for the cute lil pup????
Oh how cute Cedric is ready to roll....hey you can roll ride on over this...lol, I'd call that a major road test!
And i am now outta pics to share unless you wanna see more roses...lol.
Oh wait i do have one more for the road,lol...
We took this for Larry and just incase we had to notify the Law we were well prepared with a recent photo's of the sistahs hitten the road.
Was so glad to hear they reached their destinies...Good job Marion!
Gwen... No, Millie belongs to Phyllis... the sistah that lives near Tyler... who we kidnapped Sunday and she spent the night with us ... Cookie just tried to claim ownership of Millie... but Phyllis was wise to her antics and reclaimed her...
So glad you're back... it does take a lot of time to catch up if you miss a few days...
Which is something I usually don't do... I just start posting at the present and ask everyone to "poke" me if there's something I need to know... sometimes it can take days and days to read it all.
Now, Don has landed in our state... and is on his way home... I really should get up from here and make some effort toward being productive before he arrives. Gawd, that man can work circles around me and make me feel so guilty for not getting enough done... I need to stop that.
jsxtiger you have dmail. I will post that info on here in case the smokers among us would like to try them.
I'm in Florida,,,,so Kathy if you need a 'nap' job,,,I'm available. I'm sure I could get Maid Marion to assist in the caper. When you find out where she is, we'll be on standby. You don't mind that I AM volunteering your help do you Marion? I mean we've not met and all,,,but should be as simple as kidnapping a small dog.
I had to do the same thing to get my sons once. Laws are a lot different now though,,,you can go to another state if you have the right papers in hand. It's a slow process but can be done. The benefit of the child now is more important than it used to be. Children have rights of all kinds. So don't give up. You can do it,,just keep yourself in good health and let God take care of the rest. He moves in ways we don't understand, but for everything there is a reason and a season. He knows the reason, just trust in Him. He takes care of the little ones.
I'm a firm believer in that, Haleigh is an good example. She's still not found, but I have such a feeling that she is alive somewhere,,,she will come home.
And yes Jaye, you can get ill from fatique. Your system is tired, therefore allowing your immune system to be low,,,letting you catch whatever. Your immune system is trying to refresh your body,,,busy doing that,,,and 'bugs' come in the back door so to speak. Get some rest,,,when I get that way, I drink chicken broth right out of the can. Pour it in a glass and heat it in the microwave. I keep Food Lion and Winn Dixie cleaned out of broth when I get ill.
To quit or not to quit.. that all depends on how badly you want it.
So, we were the majority at BJ's Cookie? Let's hope it remains that way at your gathering, Cookie!
But at BJ's, the house is smoke-free and if you don't see a certain sistah in the house, you know she's outside puffing away.
No fresh lemon here Judy.. but I have some limes.
Gwen, Dallas takes over Kel! He is so attached to Papa. We're trying to catch the last of the litter.. so far, it hides too well.
Well, got to go out and check on my "kingdom" per Don.
Girls heres the info on the patches.
This system you can buy across the counter at your local pharmacy without a prescription.
It's called Nicotine Transdermal System Patch (stop smoking aid)
the patches come in 3 steps. step 1 you can use for 28 days, then if you are comfortable where you are, you go to step 2, then on to step 3
the patches are 21 mg, comes in a box, includes behavior support program with a self-help guide.
I'm waiting on my paycheck Wednesday and I'm going to buy the first step. They cost around 30 to 40 dollars here. don't know exact price but when I buy them I will let you know.
I am serious this time about quitting, I will not pay 5.00 for a pack of cigarettes. At a pack and a half a day,,,that's 7.50 per day, times 7 days,,,that's 52.50 per week,,,yep,,,,patches are much cheaper in the long run. Then I can spend that 52.50 on other things more healthful, like a trip to Ohio!
Good Luck, and we'll stay in touch on the group or here. We can do this and we will feel so much better too.
sincerely,
Marilyn
That I got plenty of Marilyn. Didn't think of replenishing myself on chicken broth. Thanks sweetie.
Sis Kathy, I'm glad I had the chance to pray with you... again I'll emphasis on acting smart.. you and Mike got to take care of yourselves too. Don't act irrationally, do everything legal. Might be a slow process, but it will be a sure one. And yes, I agree.. Lord will watch over Pam, the most innocent.
We pray that it's His will that Pam returns to you.
After they had gone, I sat on the pier for a quiet moment, and gosh, just cried at the coming end of my wonderful trip.
I walked BJ and Don's kingdom, smiled at all her wonderful garden art...besides the crashing duck, I thought this one was too cute too.
Later in the afternoon, sigh it was time to take Philis and Millie home, but first we enjoyed lunch on the lake at the Tiki Bar Restraunt...
LOL, we had the best service around, as Stacey wiped down the table, BJ retrieved the menues and the silverware and beside the slow service we enjoyed not only wonderful meals couldn't help notice some of the other diners!
Then on the way to Phylis home we stopped at this really cool antiques shop. I think we all found something to remember Texas by.
I got a really neat glass hanging candle holder...Which steve really like too. Thank goodness Phylis was able to get it down for me...thank you!
And on the way back to Brenda's we had the most incredible time to chat and get to know each better, For me it just sealed the love tighter...Thank you for that.
And then Tuesday Morning came awfully quick...Don drove Joyce and myself to the airport and as we were first to meat we were last to say have a safe trip...one last armwrap and away we flew home.
I stopped at a couple lil shops but only bought a few items, lol for my self!
I got a really cute magnet with an armorillow rocking on it's back drinking a bottle of brew say one for the road!!, lolol then I have always wanted a thumb ring so i finally got one, Told my family it's my sistah ring. and finally A Texas lady Boot that is also a bank...Which I happily placed the change into...perfect for saving for the next Dream at Joyces in OH!
and as all dreams must come to an end...
I had a fire and sent up prayer of thanks.
Thank you all for being with me, allowing me to truley be me...
Thank you for the laughter, the stories and treasured prayers, hands held tight and Armwraps generously given.
Most of all Thank you for being you and being my Sistahs
Brenda and Don, Thank you for opening your lovely home on the lake to all of us, Love truley was spread far and wide.
And thank the Lord for safe journies home...
Thanks to all for reading the story of my most beautiful dream...
Until we meet again,
With Peace and Love
and Giant Armwraps to all
Sistah Judy...I love y'all!
We love you too sistah Judy... I enjoyed it as much as you did.
((((((((((((Judy))))))))))))))))
You're making me teary eyed. Boy did I bawl when I was leaving and BJ shouted out.. "I love you to death!".
Loving you all to death too!
Thank you for sharing your experience with us Judy. Sad that I couldn't stay another day to have more memories. But with you writing this out, it's as though I didn't miss anything.
As for armadillos. Kel hadn't seen any before till we get to Texas. Told him that when you see an armadillo flat on it's back, you got to leave a beer bottle in its' 'paws'.
Well he did see one on the road, but we don't have any beer to 'revive' it! Lol!
Yep Cindy, what's up with our Maid M and JD? Me saw her hugged that pillow tooooooooooooooooooo tight!!
For those that haven't seen this.
This is the first SI Annual at Sis Kathy's.
I couldn't make that one.. I heard Sis Kathy put out a feast!
Thank you for sharing... Those times will never be forgotten. Big Armwraps to you....
Next year at Cookie's.. we'll need more than Judy to 'arrange' us in a group shot. Lolol!!
So you all know what to expect from a Sistahs' gathering right?
Hugs, laughter.. more hugs.. just plain good time get together.
So what is the difference in a sistah and a niece? What do I have to go to Ohio to become a full flegged Sistah? Because I will be darn if I am going to miss it...
Gwen, take it as a compliment. You're BJ's DIL, so young enough to be our niece!!
Us old fuddies are qualified to be old Sistahs!!
Oh the fun.....both 2008 and 2009...I have big shoes to fill in 2010!!!
Jaye, you weren't there, but you have to remember our sistah, Phyllis! so, really, 10+1!
Only age seperates the sistahs from the nieces...you're just a might too young...most of us are old enough to be your mums. So you must join with Stacey and be a neice! Of course, you'll be welcome in 2010 in the good ole Buckeye state!
Don't you go stretching those shoes now, Cookie!! You'll do just fine.
Gwen.. a niece is of equal in status to a sistah.
Stacey, Laura and Cody are nieces too. Niece gets to be spoilt by us Old Hens!
Ooooh.. sorry Phyllis.. of course.. now I have to send her an apron too.
LOL...Gwen, you are my Sistah, as we are about the same age...But you are also a niece and a Tante too!
ain't it grand.
Good to see you finally out..Miss you, You are so funny sending Cristy on her way to Mi...LOL.
yep...be forwarned this thread moves so quickly, we will make your head spin...hehehe.
Thats so funny Jaye...well maybe cause my armidilla got the one for the road!
Ok, Ok I got to role here...tons to do and I haven't even started! Wish me luck...
Will be thinking about you all and keeping Kathy, lil Pam and Chris in constant T&P's today...
Hey Sunshine...All will go well...Going to stroll through Kathy's Sistah gathering...Those picture's up there look like lots of fun was to be had!
Sistah, Niece, or Tante... I'm just glad to be included. You guys are the most fun loving people I have ever met.
Judy, You need to pick Kristi up at the airport at 3:30... Don't forget. lol
oh Jaye no need to do that I wasn't there when you were so its okay ..next time though as I have already been putting my pennies and change in my big jug
Hiya Gals, I am still here lurking on the most part. Just wanted to update. Gosh has is been busy here. I have about 50 or so grown chickens to take care of and not about 250 chicks on the ground and more in the incubator.
Lynn is doing good his finger is almost healed he went to work today. That in its self is a good thing. Just busy busy busy outside and helping mom also.
Hugs all
Tina
Tina, glad you popped in.
Tell Darlene Hi for us.
Wow.. I better start sewing then Phyllis. Next time I'm sure there'll be more.
So it's official.. "Sweet Interruption Annual Bash 2010" at Cookie's.
Got to find me an Ohio piggy bank. Or do like Gwen does, mark an envelope with a pic of Cookie on it :D
Gonna take a rest. Had some chicken soup for lunch. Sipping on limeade now. Nope, no vodka or gin in it.
I'm skimming fast. See there's a few needing prays, KathyJo and Pam and Trisha's MIL. Anyone Else? Please tell me again. Kathy, the officials whatever dept will have Pam's best interest in mind and know that you as grandmama will provide the best care for Pam. Hang in there gf. I know you are about ready to spit nails. I would be too.
I'm washing clothes for the trip today and just hung up a special shirt dear to my heart. I commented how much I liked Marion's butterfly shirt. That night, she gave me the shirt right off her back. That touched me so much. I didn't want to take her shirt but the way Marion said "I want you to have this" melted my heart. Marion Kris and I had a wonderful drive to and from Texas. We stopped at an antique shop in Texas and jumped the ditches in Miss for cattails.
I'm looking forward to Cookie's in Ohio... here we come!
My youngest is getting married July 11, my oldest son's hs team is playing summer turneys so I'm busy to say the least.
Phyllis I sized Millie up for my bag too. She is adorable and so friendly.
Linda Kay I missed you at Bjs/
Loved all the stories....you guys go too fast!!!
Don't have a lot of time right now......thanks for the info on the patches.....sure hope Laura's insurance will cover them......if not will have to come up with a plan B.....
Sis Kathy you have all our love and prayers for you and the hurricane......please take care of yourselves....these things can take time and it won't do the little one any good if you make yourself to sick to look after her.....I what Laura and Sean went through getting custody of Sage.....just hang in there you have a lot of big prayers coming your way.....
Tina glad you are checkin' in, we miss having you here on a regular basis.....hope you drop in more often!
Have to run....things to get done before we go out to the hospital to visit MIL......
They took our neighbor Doris to the hospital again at four this morning.......I just don't know what is going to happen there......after the medics left from the ten p.m. visit last night we were talking with her daughter and Doris does not have long term care insurance so I don't know what they are going to be able to do....
((((HUGS and PRAYERS)))) to all......hope you all have restful day...
Oh, Trish... I do hope your neighbor finds a way to get in the long term care facility... she'll be so much better off.
Well... I am going to bore you all with some pictures taken around the yard today... sorry... if you don't want to see, just scroll right on past them.
First, this is the weed that Judy was talking about that she wanted to pull up... it's called Dallas weed, or dollar weed... depends on where you're from... I don't pull it because I love the way it dapples across the bed and stays close to the ground.
Mom always said "A weed is only a weed if you don't want it growing there".
