Stacey... I'm in and out... at this point, I'm taking work breaks... it's just gotten too hot out there for man nor beast today.
BTW... folks... Stacey's tatoo looks much better in person... it's lovely in the pictures, but you just can't see all the color or detail in that picture.
Speaking of heat... remember the brugs on the deck that were doing so well in the direct sun?... well, they're protesting the heat too... so, I'm going to have to find them some shade... like right away... they're just limp all over... even when I water them.
Spoke to the man across the street with the goat and bee farm... and he agreed that I can till a row up next to the fence next year to plant some wild flowers... there's already some mexican hats growing there, and I'm saving my daisey seed heads for it... I'm also going to go up on the highway and collect the blanket flower seed heads in a couple weeks... it will be bee, butter, hummer heaven.
Kim-that is a bush, not a tree???????? At least the one I have and have seen are.......
BJ-thanks-that is sweet, but since I don't have eyes in the back of my head and will have to wait for a healed pic, I will take your word for it;)
I miss the eye candy at the tiki hut-LOL-there was this one I wanted to tuck in my purse and bring home-LOL
I miss everyone so much-I am usually a social person and being by myself all the time is killing me;(
Chris was much better last night and yesterday when he cleaned it-last night he even blew on it to dry it-very sweet-and did it while I was laying on my belly in bed reading a book-brought in the soap and wash cloth while I read-it was very endearing. I can't wait to see Joyce-my withdrawls are too much......
HEY EVERYONE!!! HERE'S THE LINK FOR MY CRUISE PICTURES Remember you can click on a picture to enlarge it.

Hey Flaming Kim,
When I was in Beverley's yesterday they had some Pink Flamingo sunglasses. I was going to get them for you but dang they were expensive. They had some blue Butterfly ones also now if they would have been purple I might have got them. I think they were left over from when they had Mari Gras Day back in Feb. They could have put them on sale,
:( then I would have gotten both pair.
Chrissyr, that home in Nassau belonged to Johnny and June Cash. Don't know if the family still owns it or not,,,they sold a lot of stuff after they both passed.
Oh my... you both are so good to Mike. He'll never forget you for as long as he lives. BJ, you can always have an excuse to visit Austria.
Think he will have a much easier time returning to his former life. All he picked up were some slangs, some American conveniences and new chores. That kid's intelligent enough to know what he can or cannot do at home.
BJ, the brugs will do that in the heat, but at night, they'd revive. They are actually pretty hardy.
Maid M.. looks like we got our own Thelma and Louise... but no worries of doing crime :D You rest you hear.. housework can wait!
Donna, thank you so much for taking your time to use the library's internet. I do look forward to your postings, and each day you brought good news is a victorious day for all of us. God will bless you more.
Please tell Max, you and your family are so special to us.
Darn.. time to feed Dallas.. can that little thing eat.. c me later.
Thanks Jaye... I do hope we've made an impression on him to last a while, at least.
I really hate to see those brugs droopy though... means they're not happy. I'm thinking that I should move them someplace that at least offers some afternoon shade during the hottest part of the day... These two have several branches, and will probably be the first to bloom... and I sure want them happy so they will.
I even transplanted the daturas that I had in there with them to down by the bridge so they wouldn't suck up any extra nutrients from the brugs.
I'm so wanting to see some brug blooms this year... and I don't mean pictures of blooms... I mean real live blooms in my own back yard.
Oh, MAAAAN, Cindy... that's a crafter's wonderland you have there.
It's too neat though... you really need to work at messing it up a bit.
Stacey I think that they are both a tree and a bush it is also called a Japaneses Willow I found some infor on it besides The plantfiles

OK-well that makes more sense-I just knew about the Hakuro Nashiki and was kinda wonderin.......
LOL BJ, I'm just getting it organized just wait a few months and it will be a mess!!!
Cindy, I like your craft room. All in one place. My stuffs scattered all over, blame it on ADD!!
Drats.. drats.. and quadruple drats...did anyone have a pic of BJ's craft room?? Stacey.. Kris??
Post a pic please.. that's a craftroom to die for!
Cody, how many more babies hun, since you last posted. I can give you the recipe for goose gumbo.
BJ, you still have a beautiful craft room that many of us envy.. mess or no mess.
Hey Kris, I tried 'right click and undo', it works!
Ah but my dears they say a cluttered room is a sign of an creative mind. Well so I have been told at least. I envy both craft rooms. If DS doesn't get on the stick and finish mine I think I will just convert the living room and that will get his attention really fast.
I haven't been worth a dime today. Boy all my traveling and babysitting the girls for 13 hours caught up with me today. I think I have sleeping disease--but sure have enjoyed those naps!!
Talked with Deborah tonight and had a good chuckle. Seems DH took down all information on my SUV as we pulled out of the parking lot where I picked her up.
Oh BTW, Kris, are your tulips pink, red or white. Better yet, is your daughter over it yet? LOL
Good thing you buffered out the vin number of your car Marion!! LOL!!!
Well, there's no doubting how much Larry loves Deborah!
Okay.. I'm heading for bed. Been quite an active day today.
Good night ladies!
Hi Jaye,none so far.No thanks.LOL!!!!!
LK,love the Dahlias,that is cool.
Cody that is sooo cute!! Downy babies are so precious.
Have a good night everyone....
Oh Gosh, that's pretty, Cody!
I picked 4 rows of strawberries yesterday, planted some new perrenials and tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and yellow squash plus one sweet basil plant
I didn't finish cleaning the strawberries until almost 9:00. Talk about a job! I was supposed to have help, but his friend needed help and I said to go. So I made 5 containers of strawberry freezer jam, a bowl to have with the angelfood cake I baked and still have a big container. Sad thing was after doing all that with them, I didn't want to eat any of them with the cake....I was sick of looking at them! They will need to be picked again today. Sigh....
I'm going to have fun today. Kevin and Chris are coming down to spend some time with us and bring the boys. They're the ones with the really newborn, Colby. (KJ's the big brother). We are babysitting the other two boys, Will and Kyle (4 months), too, so the 2 year olds should keep each other occupied! Hopefully I'll get some good pictures.
I know what you mean about having withdrawals, Tink....there isn't an hour that goes by that I don't think about something I heard, saw, felt, wanted...well you get the picture!
We had the tornado sirens going off and on for quite awhile last night. Looks like the bad stuff went slightly south of us. I know there was hail in the Cinci area. Glad it passed us by.
This was just the first row....
Blessed Sunday everyone!
Breakfast is ready. Juices, milk, coffee and not your usual pot of tea. Just felt like sipping on a cup of English Breakfast tea, inhaling the bergamot scent.
Crisp bacon, sausage links and patties, slices of Va. ham, grits and sawmill gravy.. pancakes with your side of natural honey. If you don't see anything you like, you all know where the pantry is.
Hope everyone had a good night's sleep.
Stacey I bet you were busy pouring down your words last night.
That's a beautiful DL Cody. Quite an usual color combo. How big is the flower?
BJ, I think you've transferred your sore throat to me. Kel's gonna be thanking you for that... he can goofed up all he want this Sunday except in church!
Hope you all take it easy today. C me later everyone!
Morning everyone.
Kim, wish I could help with the plant ID, sorry, I don't know them.
Cody, beautiful plants you have there!
Jaye, sorry to hear you have a sore throat! Hope it is getting better soon. I am finally getting over what ever it is I had.
Marion, when I drove for 14 hours to Arizona, it took me a week to cacth up on my sleep! it just takes so much out of you!
Take care
LK
Morning ladies.... I'm sitting here waiting for the coffee to brew... I just woke up. Stayed up way too late last night watching old Law & Order reruns.
Cookie... I picked another strawberry yesterday... guess I'll never have a basket full, but "it" tasted wonderful.
Jaye, I didn't have a sore throat... just lost my voice...
Hope you get over that soon though...
Gonna go pour me a cup and walk the kingdom... BBL
Glad the strawberry was good...these are real flavorful, but not very sweet. I'm hoping the rain we had last night will sweeten them up some.
I'm just ready to walk the kingdom also....wish were meeting at the end of the walk to chat and sip together!!
Hi Jay, Hi LK!!! Hi Dimmer....sorry, can't help identify those either, although the one looks an awful lot like a dandelion..
I think that there are some mix ed in I saw that there is a Beginner veggie form so I ask they said they think but wait for some more responds My Mom said maybe one of the neighbor might no so when they come out to play I will ask them also
Good Morning eveyone
Morning ladies,
BJ, now that is the craft room I want!!! You counters and cupboards and a sewing station. Maybe I can do that with mine down the line. Going to be working on shade garden area for brugs and making me a place for gardening tools and work station. I have got alot to do around here to get this place looking pretty with flowers. if any of you have any kind of plants you want to thin out send them my way. I will post pix of all the areas I will be working on today and in the near future. Need to unload 4runner before it gets too hot.
TTYL ^_^ }!{
This is funny.
Yesterday, I had Mike help with the weeding. I had him weeding in the veggie garden, because everything out there is big enough to tell what is "plants" and what is weeds... well, I had beets planted between the tomato and peppers, because they can stand the shade offered by the big plants... he pulled up my beets. I have ONE beet left. LOL... don't think I'll tell him, though... he did do a very thorough job.
Last year, Don helped me weed another bed and later found that I'm missing a bunch of new day lilies I had started there. I brought that to his attention, and now, he won't help me weed anymore.
Hi everyone - I'm Penny - DG name Countrymom. Thanks for all the kind words, Purpbutfly.
I've been reading this thread, and you all sound like a wonderful bunch of women. I'm hoping to get to know you better.
Me - well, when I chose Countrymom, I lived in a little town called Green, which is in northeast Ohio. I had four acres, all of which was manicured lawn and flowerbeds. I've been gardening for over 40 years.
We sold our home and moved to an apartment in 2007. I just couldn't keep up with the acreage. We moved from the apartment last December.
Now, we live in a duplex in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. It has as much floor space as my home in Green, and I am allowed to have a garden ! This spring I put in a very small spot with my favorite perennials. And I bought some containers with petunias, herbs, dahlias, and pansies. I want to try wintering the herbs in their containers and see if it works.
Purpbutfly graciously shared moonflower seeds with me, and I planted a few of them. She sent hundreds !
I'm 63 years old. Married twice. My husband is an RN, and I am retired. We have four grown sons, and our youngest lives with us. We have two old cats, whom I adore.
I used to do a lot of needlework - knitting, counted cross, embroidery... I can't see to do the counted cross anymore - they make the holes smaller and smaller, you know - lol ! I don't have any knitting project going right now, but I just started an embroidered Easter bunny tablecloth.
I love to watch movies at home. I play piano, and right now I am completely obsessed to learn the score to Phantom of the Opera.
So, in a nutshell, that is me. I do chores and run errands, and have a little fun. Oh - and nap. I never miss my afternoon nap - lol !
Anyway, hi to everyone.
Well Hello Countrymom nice to see you I am sure you will enjoy this form and all Are so very helpfull
Flaming Kim , Dimmer
WOW... what a difference a little spring time can make... huh? Looking good, Kimmy... way to go.
Welcome Penny !!! Sounds like you'll fit right in here... hope to hear a lot from you.
Now, I'm going out to work on the "step child" bed... it seems to always be the last to get any attention.
