I'm out the door have four rows of strawberries that need picked before the squirrels decide to help themselves...If all goes right, I'll have strawberry jam to share at my house with all of you next June!

Well, Mike and I talked a little more last night... he said he's not really mad... just hated to miss something with his friends, but understands why I said NO.
Turns out that Ryan had invited 3 of his friends to sleep over, and Ryan's sister invited 2 of her friends to sleep over. She's only 1 year younger than Ryan, so they have a lot of the same friends. Still sounds coed to me, and I would have still said NO... and Mike does understand that it just wouldn't be a good idea. As far as them all riding in the little pick up, I don't know what happened... but I doubt they could even all fit.

I'm still sipping coffee... need another cup...
But then I want to get busy outside before it gets hot... trying to get a handle on all these weeds... they're driving me nuts.

June 11th I head down to Austin with the 3 drivers and a monitor that won the regional Bus rodeo for the state conference and bus rodeo there til the 14th.

I am hoping to get into the Train the trainer class in July the 10-14 and get that course done so I have it sine the boss man won't do it

the 20th of July I am taking first aid and cpr class through the district so I'll have that under my belt too.
Other then that I am going to be working/playin my yard and being lazy

and maybe BJ and I can get together for a day to play and goof off.

Oh and some place in all of that DH says we are going over to Paris Landing TN to visit his brother and wife so he can help him build a garage and we'll go fishing on the TN river.

I get lots of looks and comments on the car! I keep a cover on it, in the driveway, and even the UPS man the other day, asked to see what I was hiding! I said sure, and showed it too him.

Ok, we have our little vacation all arranged.

We're taking Mike on his last hoorah before leaving to go back home. Here's where we'll be staying... June 22 & 23... maybe the 24th... depends.

Another exchange student will be going with us, who is an artist... quite good in my book... and she wants to meet an American artist while she's here... so, we're going to drive down Mon morn and get settled into the cabin, then drive over to my sister's house (just 15 miles) so she can mill around in her studio, and talk art a while... then have dinner out with sister and BIL that evening.
Then on Tues we'll take the kids to Schlitterbaun... which is an all day affair in itself.
Then, on Wed, we're going to take a raft down the Guadalupe river. Then if we have time (and the energy) we'll tour the Natural Bridge Caverns... if not, we'll drive home that evening... otherwise, we'll stay an extra night, and drive home Thurs morn.

Not a long vacation, but something fun for Mike before he leaves...

I BET YOU DO... wonder if Don will let me get a cover for the new toy...

Covers don't work well for the dust at all! It just keeps the harsh sun off the paint!

He leaves June 30th... on a bus from Canton, TX... they take them to a camp near Houston to deprogram them before they fly home... to make the adjustment easier when they get home. He actually flies out of Houston July 1st or 2nd... don't know exactly... but we actually say our goodbyes in Canton... Don took that day off so he could be there... cause I'm going to be a wreck.

Hi Jaye,yea i go in their and check on them all the time when it is time for them to hatch.The baby thinks i'm its mom.I guess i was the first person it saw and i go and hold it.It is so spoiled,i will put my hand down in their and it will walk up and get in my hand.I was holding it earlier and it was all in my neck.Every time i leave out of their it gets loud because it can't see me.

Trisha, that indeed is good news about the doctor telling the family about the assisted living care. That is a rough decision but this does make it easier for them. There are times I think my Mom would be better as she gets so lonely being home by herself all the time. Long 12 hours days while my sister works--I might add to support her "habit". Ouch, that wasn't nice but it's the truth and I am sticking by my statement. Way to many 4 legged creatures.

Cindy, hope you finish the move soon so you can slow up a little and relax. The fabric you found sounds awsome.

Afternoon Ladies

Just popping in really fast from the library after a full day of work already.. Needless to say I got the job and worked 10 hours yesterday and 9 today.. Im wiped out but the shop is very busy and I havent had one complaint. I am making great money for teh first two days and cant believe the sweet people in this town.. I have met several people who work with family members here in town and they are letting them know where I am and that I am home..

Hopefully soon I will be able to get the internet set up at the house,, Then I can keep in touch alittle better..

Well better run for now Max has been here with all the kids (twins too) for a bit waiting on me to get off work to come and get them .. They all walked here and they are wiped out...

Thanks Joycet .. Although now he is realizing just how many people in this town are related to me and how many people we know.. lol I did 17 haircuts yesterday on my first day and 13 today.. He only is charging me 25% of what I earn as chair rental which is very fair and he will pay me daily if needed or every saturday.. Hes very nice and the shop is pretty nice as well. He has it up for sale but I told him if he waited a year I would see how tthings go and I would be interested.. He says he has had it up before with no interest so Im hoping it stays that way.. He says if he sells it has to stay a barbershop..

The Michigan gals were suppose to be home yesterday... I too hope they check in soon.

Gwen left home for the weekend... some big family thing on her MOM's side of the family down on Lake Livingston... Steven stayed home to work on the fencing... I'm sure we'll hear from her if she can get connected on her phone down there, if not, on Monday.

Got Mike pulling weeds... cause he asked if I'd pull him in the tube on the lake... I said if he helped pull weeds... we'll talk about it.

Oh, Donna... forgot to say how happy I am that things are working out for you...

And now... I have more weeds that need to be evicted.

today's move was a piece of cake. Got down there loaded up and outta there in in an hour 15 min. Still have one small load and some house plants but not in a hurry as I'm waiting for Rick to finish the Barbie doll house. We did get into an argument over my jeep, so I'm dealing with it my way. He is such a jerk sometimes. Got everything unloaded, mom is now taking a much needed nap she has to bowl this evening. Will working in craft room, so I can start sewing.

Come on down Phyllis... it takes 3 people to go tubing anyway... and we're looking for the 3rd person now. 1 in the tube, 1 driving the jet ski, and one spotter turned backwards on the seat to watch for hand signals...

A couple of his friends are meeting in the next cove to go swimming... so I think we'll just drag the tube over there and take them for a ride too...
He did get most of the veggie garden weeded... but it's gotten way to hot out to be doing that now. 95* in the shade ain't comfy.

Wow LK, How unique I've never seen anything like that before.

Ladies, I have met a gal here on DG we have been emailing each other. She was looking for some Datura Moonflower seeds and I came to her rescue. LOL, she said she only wanted 6 or 8 and I sent her hundreds of them. She was so sweet and sent me some wonderful smelling soaps for my bithday. Anywhooooooo I told her to come and join us. Her name is Penny and I think her DG name is Pward3, so if she happens to drop by while I'm not here, Please give her a big "Welcome" and I will catch up when I can.
