I'm First Neener Neener Neenner!!!

She showed up in the apartment complex I lived in. She's 13 years old now and still very active, but she has to take her steroids, it's Prednisone, once a day, but sometimes I do skip. I think it's a 5mg chew cut up into 3rds, one a day and when I run out of the last 3rd in a packet I skip a night. There's something wrong with her intestines to where the food doesn't pass from her stomach into her intestines, without the steroids the food sits in her stomach until she pukes it up. She lost 5 pounds in 1 1/2 months when I was dinking around with this stupid vet giving her all of this different kinds of medicine and tests and what-not, as soon as she went on the steroids she was back to normal and gained all her weight back within a week. She's a 10lb cat. Then the vet told me they couldn't find Prednisone anywhere so I changed vets. Told the new vet that and he laughed and laughed, who doesn't keep a stocked supply of Prednisone these days, for humans and animals? I now call the pharmacy directly and just tell them who I am, they have my credit card on file and I have a month supply of meds for $10.00, free shipping.

Please don't forget to pray for Barb's husband, Norm.

I'm about to doze off.. gonna get a couple hours' sleep while he watches kitty.

Our Jack was orphaned at 2 weeks.She could fit in the palm of my had,I went and got a pet bottle,kitten formula,and would run her under warm water and take a paper towel to stimulate her potty movement,the warm water help with less mess.Vet said she was too young and would never make it...well 8 years later she runs the house.She's quite tiny only weighs little over 5 lbs.But she is my love...

Crissy, I'm glad you share your cat's digestive problem with me.
I think that's what's going on with Prince. He's prone to puking his food unless it's that one brand that his stomach can tolerate.
Next vet visit, I'll ask him about it. Prince is the only one that has to stick to Friskie's Seafood Sensation. I try feeding him Holistic food and special diet.. and he puked them all out.

Look out, she's going to be a long hair! Do I see tufts on the top of those ears? I see a very square nose...

Jaye ,she is much bigger than Jack when we got her.You could lay her body in the palm of your hand and the only thing that stuck out was her tail and her tiny head.........Ryan didn't like any girl names and we kept her in a box ,(so we called her Jack in the box) ,with blankies and I bought her a teddy bear that she still drags around.

Somehow, I am likely to name her Sweet Sistah Hope.

Tiga's very picky, she'll only eat Fancy Feast, doesn't like any kind of fish or beef/chicken mix, loves most of the Fancy Feast with Greens in it, and a couple of the Friskies w/ greens. I keep dry food out all the time for her and buy the 3lb bags or she'll get tired of that too!

Try the warm water in the bathroom sink,it might help,and some times the rough of the paper towel simulates a mothers tongue.

Hair or no hair, I love her already! So this makes # 11 in the household! We need to buy stocks in Purina!

Let me remind you again Crissy.. Tiga means 3 in Indonesian.

A couple months ago Jack got bad diahrea and had it for days.No vet to see her.......So the on vet I did get a hold of said to give her 1/2 cc of imodium.All the rest like pepto are harmful to cats.One dose and she was good.But she was getting dehydrated ,wasn't even peeing.That's when I got scared.

I'll be off for awhile.. will be back for the next shift... all for the love of God's creatures!

Norm is in my thoughts and prayers, and will be praying for him tonight when I go to bed.

I think I poisoned Tiga by accident. She loves playing in water and when we moved here she can fit inside the toilet without getting very wet. She was playing in it one day splashing everything for about 30 seconds and when she got out about an hour later she became lethargic, then I noticed Dave put one of the blue colored bowl cleaner in the tank. I cried and cried and cried. Both vets said they get so minimal cleaner in that stuff cause it's so deluted by the water in the bowl, unless she drank a lot of it it's extremely unlikely, which she didn't, she just splashed it everywhere. I still kick myself because, in my mind, she'd be a perfectly healthy 13 year old cat, which is very rare.

LOL she's telling me it's bedtime, going into the hallway looking back at me and cooing.

guess I posted to twice momma called right in the middle..........that CRS Syndrome kicking in.........LOL.

If I don't go to bed when Jack tells me to or if I get into something she thinks I shouldn't I get a spanking.......LOL.She come right up and slap me with no claws about 5 or 6 times.
