I just talked to Gwen... and she said to tell all you ladies THANKS for sharing some of your time here with her and Steven... they both REALLY enjoyed you all, and will also be talking about it for quite some time.
I told her we're going to Ohio next year... and she said "I want to go too!!!"
I told her, "You have to join DG and chat with us here... or you can't go."
We'll see how bad she wants to go now.

Glad to here you are getting Settled.
Judy,
I had remember reading somewhere that you liked it. Beings I'm not with Rick anymore and not making that king size quilt, I wanted you to have it. I am going to make myself a butterfly quilt. So when I'm in the next fat quarter swap i will be asking for purple and sage green prints ^_^. Do you know what you will make with it?
Ohio! Never been to Ohio. Do we have an idea where yet? I'm going to get to the next one, I am I am I am!
The biggest one can be found in Indonesia Cindy. And they are called Bunga Bangkai.. translation... Corpse Plant
Next year in Ohio at my house..I'm looking at the weekend after Father's day. I'm between Dayton and Cincinnati. Consider yourselves invited!
Jaye,
My SIL brought that plant over from Hawaii. My MIL gave a bunch of bulbs. Hers was planted where it was shady and cool. I told my mom that it needs to be moved. As you can see all the weeds around it. Mom can't get down on her knees so not too much weeding around her flowers gets done. Well that is going to change, lol. I'm going to turn this place into a wonderland of flowers, lol.
Here's some Bachlor's Buttons
I love Bachelor's Buttons, when I had planted them in town, every neighbor had them in there yards and flower beds every year and never plated a one..........LOL.
I gave her a good drink of Miracle Grow Bloom Booster about a week ago.
CIndy, congrats on the weight loss. You must be working your hiney off, with all this packing, moving, unpacking, organize... Take care of those little fishies.
Stacey, I got the email with your fairy pics. Thanks.
BJ, what are you going to do with that hot rod. Now we need to get together with my purple mustang, and... Oh I can see it n ow, explaining the tickets to the hubbies!!! LOL
Make sure you post pictures when it arrives!
LK
Synda, those new leaves are normal, and some pick them off, to give the plant more energy, for the top portion, others leave them alone. It is totally up to you, if you want a bushy plant, or more of a pruned looking one! Once mine get ggrowing, I feed them miracle grow, once a week. They really like the fertiliser.
Hey Gwen, nice to see you posting! Wish I had been there to meet you, maybe next time?
Hi Linda, nice to meet you also... I had so much fun there is no way I would miss the next one.
Hey Synda,
You still there??? Lookie at my baby Micheal. I totally forgot I had him. He's been at my mom's in the back bedroom where I my grandaughter has her toys. He was still in his box had to get him out.
The bassinet that he is laying in, my mom bought for her sister when she was pg with my cousin Sissy/sissy13, in 1946. OOppss I told her age. Oh well she doesn't visit this site anymore, lol Some of you might remember her. She did the Welcome Spring swap that I hosted
AHHHHH Cindy Micheal is so sweet...........Couldn't ya just hug and kiss him all over............LOL.
I need to get some of my brugs transplanted and some sent to LK and BJ, next week ladies I promise and also that book, you want to look at LK.
Cindy, no hurry. You just get yourself settled in.
Ahhh, Woopie, Hello and welcome Sistah Gwen!
Ok, will tell ya myself, Was so bummed to not get to see your farm and the baby animals,
Soooo, want to share some pictures?? Sure hope so...
How is Steven feeling? Hope his ankle is getting better.
...Synda, Wow and Wow, wonderful so happy about your brug, Looks awsom!
k o off again running.
Oh, First, Linda Kay, Got to tell you what a delightful little duck you gifted BJ with last year, made me smile alot, lolol while everyone was trying to sneak Millie home I was trying to figure how I could sneak the lil duck home! Ahhh, will just smile in rememberence, 'cause boohooo, for got to take a picture of her!
...Thanks again Cindy, Got to look at the material for a bit before I figure what to make...LOL, idea's are swimming though!
Sorry I had to leave so abruptly... son #3 had a crisis.
You see... his bird died while you ladies were here this weekend. I didn't have a chance to properly see about him. It happened Sunday while we were at the Rose Garden.
Curly was a solid gray cockatiel. We had just clipped his wings again last week, so he wouldn't fly off when he followed him out in the yard. Well, he went out the front door Sunday to put out food for the rabbit that adopted him, and lives under his house... Curly followed him out the door, and the neighbor's cat pounced... actually carried the bird off with him... and ran.
He chased him for several blocks before he lost him.
He's been sitting on his couch watching tv for a couple days without dressing... he's so depressed....
So, Gwen and Steven will be dropping by there after work to check on him...
We're talking now about fixing his fence and getting him a dog. He needs a pet.
SO GLAD you made it dear DIL... Now, you're a sistah.
Hello again Judy, I was really bummed you guys didn't make it to the farm also. I was really looking forward to it. I do have some pics that I can send with my blogs. I will try to download some and get them rolling out to ya.
So here is a starter for all of you. This is our newest addition. She was born early May. We have been calling her sweetheart. I am laying on the ground beside her taking her picture on my iphone, since I do not have a fancy camera like BJ.
The solid red little bull calf is called Squirrel. He is the most lovable calf ever born on my ranch. He will run up to you and let you pet him all over. When you stop petting him he likes to rub his head on you in order to pet you. He is sooooo sweet. I will send more pics as time goes on.
Synda... mine have those leaf things all over the stems too... I've just left them there, only because I didn't know what to do with them either. I am pinching off the leaves that turn yellow though... not sure if I'm suppose to do that though.
Cindy... if you send me one more plant, I'm going to feel soooo guilty !!! You've sent me so much already... I'm going to have to gather some for a box to send to you too, while I'm packing up Cookie's and Judy's box... they forgot to get them while they were here until it was too late to do it...
Get settled in, and take care of those beds at your moms... it's going to be a show place when you're done with it... so we want lots of pictures.
I've lost my voice... too much fun and laughing this weekend... at least I can crackle a sound out today... but I promised Don to rest my vocal cords.
Mike's hungry (duh)... so I better go figure out what to feed him... he ate all the left overs yesterday.
Ok, Ok... already... I already got the camera hint...
Hints like that make buying Christmas much easier.
lol... It really wasn't a hint to you even though I REALLY like your camera.
I know you do... you told me... a few times.
LOVE YOU
I really have to go now... Mike's staring me down for food now... got to go before he paces the varnish off the floors.
I gotta run. Leaving work to go check on Danny (BJ's youngest son). I will try to log on with my iphone on the way home.
Hi Gwen, I couldn't make it to BJ's but it sounds like everyone had a wonderful time. Welcome to the group!!
hello Gwen, welcome to the group. I don't get to post as much as I'd like, comes from working to much. (grin),,,but hopefully that is going to change this summer.
Ohio,,,I was born and raised there. little town west of Chillicothe, which is halfway between Columbus and Cincinnati,,,
I haven't been home in years,,last time I was there was maybe 5 years ago, dead of winter,,,that's another story. must tell you all one day.
this would be such a trip, homecoming and reunion all wrapped into one.
DustyDS how far are you from the Seven Caves?
I'm back. I am so excited, I can actually get on DG from my I phone. Now on my hour and twenty min cumute back and forth to work I can be on the thread. I'm not sure why I am surprised my iPhone does everything great except text.
Jaye and Kel, hope u guys made the drive home ok. Do u have Cedrick with u?
Steven's ankle is better today. He is able to walk on it now. It is black on blue on both sides of his ankle and foot. He did a good job on it that's for sure. I thought for sure that we would end up at the doctor for sure by Tuesday. But, he is a tough old coot. He started trying to walk on it Monday. Now he has a limp to go with his gimp.
Hi Trisha, you definetly missed a good time. Hope we meet at the next one.
Too funny... the ole' crip just needed one more thing to make walking difficult, huh? I'm feeling so bad that he got hurt here... AGAIN!!
Jaye and Kel flew home, but they did have a bit of a drive home from the airport.
Deborah, Kris and Marion drove, and Stacey and Janice drove...
Everyone made it home safely, except Stacey and Janice are stopping in St Louis to visit dad... they'll be home Friday.
