Ardesia, Yes that is duranta.

Rita, That is the nicest coloring in a daylily that I have seen in a long time.

Dale, is there a particular cultivar that stays low?

Portland, TX(Zone 9a)

It is a pretty day lily, Rita.

My bow tie vine has been a slower starter, but it finally has some blooms.

Ardesia,

That lily is in a 1gallon pot in a concrete pond. This one too>

Silly me, I meant the duranta.

But, they are both gorgeous lilies. We had construction going on last spring and I allowed the water pots to go dry. Now there is a mystery water lily coming up. I think it is an old Panama Pacific that has decided to resurect itself.

Duranta of all types can be kept low - just hedge it every two weeks.

Dale, when will you be near Dallas, Texas? Sure could use your talents.

I lived for 13 years in Austin....I think that my ship has sailed past ya'll.

I wouldn't mind moving back to California, the Big Sur area would be a nice place to garden. It's a nice quiet neighborhood.

DaleTheGardener, I have always enjoyed your pictures, but the Copper leaf and Hilo Beauty pot picture is totally awesome. Thanks.

Hi Clemen. I googled Jocote, and found out that is is also known as a Hog Plum, which I am very familiar with. I hope that you get fruit this summer.
