Look who's coming to dinner..in the pond. I was startled when my flashlight landed on this guy as I was checking out the quantity of noisy toads
aahh..that was one of the plants that had to go there too. I think it didn't like being watered as much as the other plants..so after the forget about it area, I planted it next to the pond and fence where it stays pretty dry, and for the not so dry time, the roots could go under the pond liner. whatever the reason, it worked, and is growing very tall..and blooming.
that's an awesome plumeria, and the smell is soo peachy!
yes it is I love it I got this one cutting last year from the dutchlady she was so nice to have sent it.
Yes I know Ive got it to bloom last fall for me but didnt do well in the house.
RJ , I would think that if you looked closely enough there is a snake or two somewhere in your jungle. Loved the blog. Even recognized one or two plants that made it all the way to Dallas. Found out almost everything is root hardy. Took cutting of several things and quite by accident have doubled my grouping.
Everyone enjoy your long weekend.

Funny you should say that, I was hunched down on the side of pond looking for the turtle this morning, and all of a sudden I heard a bunch of noise coming from the shrubs, and out popped two possums one running after the other as one went under the deck. Startled the heck out of me, then the other stops and goes to the pond for a drink. Mind you, my face was close to the pond, and it was too close. I had my hand grabber tool, and reached out and gave him a pinch. I think he thought at first the other possum was coming back at him, then he realized he'd been pinched by something else..critter time.
Yes, those giant ee's are from you. Looks like it's going to be a good summer for leafy things!
I like the turtle. Opossums are ugly. I would have shooed it off also.
Google the possum. They are good news for your garden. Eat mostly bugs.
I had one on my front porch one time and I thought it was a cat, until I saw the tail. Eeek! It was huge!
They are not pretty, that is for sure but I'll take 10 possums over one raccoon. The possums never dig up my plants or pull things out of the water gardens and, around here, they do not carry rabies like the raccoons do.
LOL! At my old house, the racoon used to scoop out my koi and eat 'em. I see their wet paw prints in the early morning.
Hmmm sounds like the Great Blue Herons up here in our area during the summer. Raiding peoples ponds and eating all their expensive Koi :)
We've had plenty of rain but my rain lily is not blooming. :( I don't understand why.... I see their leaves.
Thanks! I will leave it out : ) I will make a few more soon.. pepper's greenhouse has plants just the right size for mixed pots
it's gorgeous!
pretty. I've never seen the pink ones, only purple or white.
OOH LA LA . . . I LOVE IT!!!! such a deep pretty pink!
Rita and Sunshinesw, love the philo. pic's.
R.J. , I enjoyed your latest blog. I need to put my bougainvillea in a "site" un-seen area for a while atleast!
I enjoyed viewing everyone's plant/flower pic's as well.
Aglaonema still blooming it's heart out here for me since January. I know the bloom's are not the greatest.....but ;-)
