That's so sad about the Harlequin drake. I hope the line is under the wings.

Great pix, folks!

Cool Honeyeater shot Margaret!!

That is so sad about your drake Gary.

I think this is a female Red-winged Blackbird...she was around for a couple of days last week.

I have seen a Rose-breasted Grosbeak everyday until yesterday...so I don't know if they have left or are busy with nesting stuff. and will be back.

Thanks folks. Huggergirl, I didn't take these shots in our yard, but we have New Holland, Singing and Brown Honeyeaters here. I took these shots at a public lookout. This is a White-cheeked Honeyeater taken over the other side of the river.

Gary, is there any chance of alerting the wildlife authorities of the drake's situation and requesting their intervention? Horrible thing for it to be experiencing.

Pelle - I love that female Red Bellied WP. I have a male that drums Every morning and comes to the window suet feeder, but have never seen a female here. Wonder if he's a frustrated bachelor?

Here's one of our lady Red-bellied Woodpeckers....
