It was hot yesterday so I filled the sundail with water. Papa Blue found it right away. One of the bluebird wannabee's followed him there, but Papa wanted some privacy.

Thanks Pele. I am in Baltimore and using a strange computer. It's a wonder I was able to get anything right. I had a lot of non-bluebird shots ready but I left them at home.

This bird wandered in to my bathroom when I had the back door open. I think it could be a Winter Wren. I've tried to d-mail it to resin but the pic wont send.
My resident cardinal. The missus is expecting any day now. Looks like he's been pulling his hair out in anticipation.
LOL, Dave, I was wondering if 'he' phantoms morning sickness for his mate too. lol.

After a hard day's work on the pond, I was treated to Fred and Ethel bathing. She took three baths! Here's the first shot where she's getting ready to bath. you can see she only has a few tail feathers.

Well I had the Ovenbird return the other day. It was dark though, so really had to crank the ISO.
The wet look on a Bullock's Oriole after bathing in Frank Frog's pond.

Wow! wonderful shots everyone. Looks like today was bath day. It was actuallyy even warm and sunny here, so spent the day planting stuff rather than taking pictures. Love sharing yours, though.
Ya'll's pics are nothing short of great, I love em! It was a dreary, rainy day here today, but there was a lot of bird activity. A red-bellied woodpecker.
An oriole that just looks like a gray catbird. I mean I have the oriole feeder, the orange, jelly and even grapes so it has to be an oriole right? LOL ;)
*sighs, curses, and kicks the cat wondering if he's EVER gonna get an oriole?*
The infamous gray catbird. Not only does he not eat ALL my oranges AND jelly, he devours all my suet! But that's ok, they make it everyday.
And last but not least, the humster, one of my favorite birds.
I spent Saturday evening and part of Sunday afternoon trying to photograph a pair of Harlequin Ducks in the tail-race of the Eklutna power plant. They insisted on moving to the opposite side on the stream. Not letting me get close shots. This is the best shot from Sunday.

Now 24, we just love are Gray Catbirds here....they really can be very entertaining if you can watch them a bit!
