And take a look at this zucchini. We picked it on the 25th too. Here it is, standing up next to the coffee maker!

Sorry, I'll bet you'd never believe that I know how to use a computer. Here is another picture that you won't have to turn your monitor on its side to see.

I got FEMALES!!! Finally... after weeks of waiting, I have two tiny female blossoms. I;ve decided not to trust them to the bees.. I'll pollinate them when they open, tho my luck, there will be no males open at the same time.

I am getting cukes about one a day, but haven't gotten any squash yet. I do have hot peppers and bell peppers maturing and would have tomatoes, if the darn birds would stay out of them. Anyone have any ideas about that? I only have 2 tomato plants and as soon as the fruit starts to turn red, the birds get them.

that is my fear, the birds getting at the maters when they turn red. right now I have 4 large Better Boys still green on the vine, but Im hoping i can keep the birds outta them

Well so far, I have had 3 tomatoes and about the second or third day they start turning red, I come home to find them completely gone, except the very top where it attaches to the plant. At work, they put a plastic owl by the door because we had a problem with birds around the door. Wonder if that would work to keep the birds out of the tomatoes.

Yea I had my best liftoff yesterday. Sorry to butt in on this but I have been reading along. My 82 year old parents came by and I told them to bring thier cooler. Daddy had gone to A different eye doc and for the first time in 3 years can see clearly out his right eye. Boy did he check the garden out with his new glasses. I loaded thier cooler with salad onions, zookes ,yellow squash`, salad onions, salad tomattoes, and green tomattoes for his breakfast. Fifty dollers spent on the garden, the joy and hugs from mom and dad, PRICELESS!!! Sorry to butt in an I will keep reading along.
