yeah have a couple in the yard now too - probably saw then in yours last year 0)
The Long View 2009
It's a cool plant. Great fall color too. I like the dwarf one I have. Forgot the name.
I suspect there is a gatehouse with a full garden staff at the start of that "driveway" somewhere in Lower Hudson Valley, NY. I have noted a few nice castles down that way. Patti
He he! I've been there Patti. It's all just Victor. He doesn't even get help from the kids. Maybe when they get bigger. What do you think Victor? Will you be getting help from the little ones?
I hope!
Wouldn't that be great? I'm gearing myself toward teaching Sam to work in the garden this year. He's not booked for camp or anything. I think he's going to be in the garden a lot! So far, the only thing he enjoys doing is digging holes, which is good, but he wants to dig a hole that's 6' wide and 6' deep!
lol
Perfect for roses! :)
Make it fun for them and they'll help.
Some of it will be fun. Some of it will be plain ol' work.
beautiful yards! I wish I had more sun, so I could plant more roses.
Oh Kassia!! So beautiful!!!!
:::blush::::
glad you are enjoying them!!... that last one is really pretty
Kassia, I really love how you have that first rose on the obelisk. It looks perfect! :)
Beautiful Kassia.
How do you bring yourself to go to work?
Beautiful!!
very pretty Weese!!!
You would think that the cat might want to chase the rabbits.
gorgeous!
Very nice, Weeze.
Love garbage day. Do you have to put stickers on your bags? We do. $1 per can. We definitely recycle - less stuff to put in the bag with a sticker.
What a pretty garbage day view!
Kassia, that rose Variegata di Bologna is something else.
venu209, what a nice planting for the garbage guys. I'll bet they appreciate it.
I took a few long shots today. More colors is starting to appear in what was a mostly purple phase along the south walk. The yellow Genista lydia Bangle that I planted last year came through the winter and is blooming that bright blast of yellow. The big mass of rugosa hasn't really kicked in yet, only a few blooms so far and almost all are the white ones. The hosta have loved all the rain. I especially like the white giant allium in front of the plumes of Persicaria polymorpha which has proved to be perfectly well behaved. The allium 'Globmaster has been amazing and my Ornithogalum magnum has been a nice surprise as I didn't expect it to be so grand. Patti
we need a new thead here - long
patti nice pictures - and i like the birdhouse:)
