The Long View 2009
Patti nice angle of the old and the new. Are you sure it wasn't a Spawn of Satan Tree Rat doing the digging? Damien dug up some containers yesterday. GRRRRRR :( I wonder if I have any dwarf glads left at ALL.

Oh, bummer! I missed this thread. I was watching the old one and was gonna post, then forgot about it and it didn't pop up in my thread watcher. I had taken photos to post and then life got in the way. I'll post them anyway soon.
I haven't read through the thread yet. I just skipped to the end to post. I'll check out the pics soon!

That's cheating, Harp!!
Dahlianut: no, no golf for me ... but we do have about 3 acres+ in lawn. My husband is the golfer, but so far, I've convinced him not to put a putting green in.
3 acres, hmmm, great for the horse to eat.(hee hee)
Not cheating anymore. I just read the entire thread. All I can say is WOW!!! Beautiful gardens everyone.
So I've only been working at this for about 4 years. I haven't had much money, already spent way too much. I haven't had anyone help, so please be forgiving! I'm not even showing you the worst parts. : b
Every garden must have a hammock.

This one's getting too long.

such wonderful yards & photos all.. I love this!!
I have to go back and look at the rest but I didn't want to forget to s ay that Songs of joy - your pics are beautiful! Do you mind if I save the picture that shows your screen house? I really love it and I am trying to get my dh to build one soon. I would love it if it was a s pretty as yours! : ) Have to run out to work but I'll be back to checkout the rest.
Meredith, thank you and of course you can save it for reference. We love our screen house. Just last night we were asking ourselves why we waited 16 years to build it! It's my favorite room of the house (this time of year, anyway!)
We followed the design posted in a magazine. I'll see if DH kept the magazine; if so I can even give you the instructions.
Edited to add - or if you're near southern Merrimack, let me know and I'll give you a tour.

Victor, that looks very peaceful... very nice... you work very hard on your garden!
Nice plantings and Nice long driveway! Wish I was set back further from the road; we're right on top of it. But at least it's a quiet, dead end street.
Thanks ladies. Yes - I love being set way back.
That is a peaceful drive and looks great for dancing.
You have an open invite, dnut.
Wow great pictures Kassia! I am jealous of all those blooms! In Love with those roses : )
Victor I am totally jealous of your driveway! Love it. :)
