Too bad LK.. at least we should be thankful that we can grow brugs and gingers and plumerias.. gotta check and see what Synda can't grow and give thanks from there :D

Synda, those are woods violets...Johnnys have a purple and yellow face...If the rain hasn't beaten mine to death, I'll get a pic for you...

I am ashamed to even show this pic with all of the weeds...but you can see a bit of the newly tilled dirt behind them...Many plants will be moving there if this rain will ever let up...then I can murder the weeds...

Ah Dusty-you have that blasted mint weed!!! Mom brought me splits of her geranium and she brought that weed with you. It has crept into my neighbors yard too, so every time I get it all pulled up, it crawls back through the fence from his-UGH-I hate that thing!!!

Ya know Stacey...I am to the point of using Round up on all of this stuff once I move the plants, and I am not fond of chemicals at all...and this rain is not helping one bit...They are growing like crazy...I had a few plants moved before this started, and I sat and picked their roots clean to be sure I didn't move weeds too...

What you have there, Synda is a Wild Violet... I have them every where in my yard... the ones that come up in my beds, I leave alone, but they've taken over parts of my yard, so I just mow em down.

Hmmmm, Jaye... I have a lilac bush (actually, Don claims it, so I guess it's his) ... and it's doing fine. Why can't you have one? It's already bloomed, and looks like it might again.

Just wanted to pop in and say HELLLOOOO!

Is so good to be home and even though its been raining off and on its a good thing for the shroomies here in Ohio.. lol We went morel hunting twice and today I found the biggest I have ever found ! Big enough to make at east 2 or 3 sandwiches..

Tony and Tristen are comming back tomorrow. They have been staying at my best friends house the last few nights to give us time to get everything loaded into the garage and look for a rental. We have looked at quite a few and found one today that is a bit more than we wanted to pay but exactly what we want so we are keeping our fingers crossed until monday when we find out if we get it not.. The owner loved Bella and was very understanding about our situation o we are hoping for the good. If not we may be able to get a house a few doors down from where we are staying now. Its a family members but he has been placed in a hoe and they are talking about selling it to us for 55k and a family member may help us with all that since they know our situatoin..

All is well but I am missing having my normal pc time every day..

She is loving the woods and will stay with us off teh leash as well out in the woods. Max and I seperated and hen he circled around the hill she caught my sent and almost pulled him over following my trail.. she ran down the hill through the trees, up the hill and landed in my lap where I was sitting in a quiet grassy spot... She knocked me over kissing me from head to toe... lol

After the number increased one more!! Yes, they left and if they show tomorrow it will be to no avail as I am stopping it all together. I feel like a heel but I can't have this going on. We pay in our HOA dues to keep the lake stocked and it really isn't fair they should come in numbers like today and catch all the fish. I really was shocked when I saw the sizes they were keeping. That was the final straw. Just call me "meanie"

Antonio and his brother came today and finally got all my beds weeded out and then we took them over to Laura's and they got all the weeds and that nasty Ivy out of her back area and off the fence. Now we can get some things planted!!!! They wanted to get it done today before the rains start.

Had to make up some leather washers for one of Bill's bike projects......now it is 8:00 and I really do need to get some dinner.....potstickers, rice and sauted greens...the perfect 20 minute meal!! Then I can try and catch the end of the ball game.

I finally remembered to take a picture of the baskets I am making for Shelly's wedding for on the tables ...they will have a pot in the middle with something growing in them hopefully I will be able to get some seeds going so they are flowering at the time too.
