How wonderful, frilly and so pretty!
May 2009 in the Garden
You have quite a variety of iris BB just like the variety of daffs that you prize. The pank one is my fav. Look at the brugs blooming already, isn't it a bit soon for them?
Not here, LOL... This is Texas
Thanks! No brugs here either.. I dont raise them.
Actually most of my iris are purple... I only have a few of the other colorls. I have seen some heads on a few daylilys today... soon up will be Stella De oro and the species varieties. They usually are the premiers!
Hi, Terri! I didn't see your post up there till now. Our temps are in the 80's in the day and 60's at night. We are having a WONDERFUL spring as you can see by my flowers. Usually we would have been in the 90's by now as we usually go from our little winter right into summer! But we have been blessed with some very lovely weather this year and enough rain to keep everything happy. We have to water every couple of days right now. In the summer... welllll... lets just say things would be happy if we watered 3 times a day! And when it gets really hot, nothing blooms. That is why I am so happy to get to post my pics now while I can!
Blossom,
I love your irises and purple is one of my most favorite colors. I don't have many Irises or daylillies. I think they are beautiful but their blooming time seems so short to me.
Blossom and Yardqueen - you two must have a huge yard to have so many plants in bloom....
Yardqueen - I have one brug that was winter damaged, but the main stem looked oK, but it has not sprouted any new shoots. Good thing I rooted a few branches in the fall. I love your pinkish one.
some of my may blooms. Baroness Schroder peony earlier this month
Soils,
Pretty flowers! I never have seen tritonia before... They're pretty!
