We had heavy rain---no thunder---it was showering a few min. ago, now the sun is trying to come out----we have had rain every single day this May---enough already! Heading up to the farm to see the kids this afternoon---the girls picked out Mom Day plants---they have very eclectic taste! Last year, HayHay had to choose one for herself---she chose the umbrella plant Patti had on another thread----she was very bummed when it disappeared in the summer.
Didn't get much done, too windy. Gusts up to 40 mph.

It's been windy all day. The temp has dropped too. I think it's about 50.
Pleasant temp, low 70s until 6 o'clock--got 3 iris crosses made. Now to worry about wind, weather alert coming through worchester. rain better not wreck my plants.
it was kind of a crummy day...colder rainy and very windy all day. I stayed in :-p I supposed I could have pulled some weeds or something. didn't.

I saw all the red in the radar going through Mass and Northern New England last night. Looked pretty wild. We only got a spritz, so it's a good thing I watered the newcomers yesterday. What a glorious morning, great day to be out doing things. Too bad I'm too tired and sore from putting in all the plants I got from our garden club sale. *Moan*.

Shut the computer off last night has there was a severe storm warning. It faded out, obviously after dumping all the rain on boojum. Very windy here this morning, so cool even as the temp says 70.

We celebrated Mothers Day yesterday with both sets of parents. Mine stayed overnight and just left. Had a great time.

A friend in concord MA said that the wind was blowing iris plants over, including SDBs. We had wind in the northeast, but not like that.
Warmed up here this afternoon so I could prune the rugosas. Yay! That's over. Now for easier pruning tomorrow. Also planted a rhodie and a yellow magnolia today.
It was in the low 60's today. Perfect weather for a horse show( which is where I was) I hope to get in the garden tomorrow. Happy Mother's Day.

Almost had one the other night(full moon) but our low for tonight is only 42 thank goodness.

it was such a nice day.. despite the wind... Randy and I (after everyone left) just relaxed on the deck for a while... perfect night for a fire pit... we were both too lazy to drag it over to us and light one up.. but did come in and fired up the wood stove... got chilly tonight
Yep, the heat came on. Mom is glad, but I would just stick it out. Had the window open to sleep.
