Coffee Break #10 - Summer in Spring

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

She wants to learn how to lurk - the art of NOT saying anything.

Thomaston, CT

Glad the robins are doing well---they are special to me. Hope your gardens are perking along, Debi.

Shock will only result in, 'Ouch!'

I'm good! Yesterday was my last day of grand jury so am almost back to my normal.

My garden is really coming along - lots of daffs and tulips this year, and my trillium are already blooming. Some white bleeding hearts in bloom and buds on the pink. Hellebores look good and nice fat buds on my tree peony. A few Leopards Bane and Pasque flower might be the only other thing in bloom right now.

Victor you made me nervous last year with my Little Honey hydrangea, but it's got some foliage so it survived the winter.

Have already had some clematis wilt. The rabbits pruned all 3 JM's and weigela, so they may take a bit to look better.

I've been lurking myself, reading every day but maybe not posting as much.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Oh, I actually golfed yesterday, the first time since my surgeries last year, and scored my best ever! Felt good to swing a club again, and it was gorgeous out, 85 but a cool breeze so it wasn't bad.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great to hear, Deb! Actually, I did buy one Little Honey this spring. Have not planted it yet. The reports I had been hearing were not great, but I decided to try.

Be the first on your block!

I guess you can find the dog when taking it out at night. I don't think I want ot know what they'll come up with next.
They plane stunt was stupid. They don't understand how scary 9/11 was for NYC.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Hi Debilu Nice to see you around again.
I'm just lurking

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Turns out they did know that it would terrify people, but they still put big pressure on the cops, FBI and Mayor's office to keep it quiet. This is in a memo. Mind-boggling.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

So who are these people making these unwise decisions for our so-called leaders? I do not appreciate being left out of the loop!

Are those violets phoebe? Pretty color! Glowing dogs---I don't want to go there---but if it helps cure Parkinsons---my brother is afflicted with it---very sad to see him deteriorate.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Orchid--Sorry about your brother.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Did you see what it cost us for that photo -op??? over $300,000 and just for airplane fuel alone $35,000...lovely

Cant even find the thread where I said I had a fleeping COLD- worked all day and headed east........... Night. Tired and Tired and Tired. whew

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

I guess it's bad all over. I'll keep mine thank you. Victor, where do you find all this stuff?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

It seems to find me.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

ewwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Talk about giving someone the finger!

That plane incident was one of the dumbest most insensitive things I ever heard of. Can we expect an unannounced sniper exercise at Columbine H.S. next? Geez, people can be stupid.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'm so embarrassed..... I just dropped hubby off at the place where we were having our van lettered. I had to cut the corner coming out of his driveway since a truck was too close to the middle line going the other way and I wiped out the guys recycling bins...geez...of course I did get out and help him pick it all up. Good thing we already paid our invoice.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

oops flowerjen.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wonder what letters he'll put on the van now.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I just found out that my membership is up in about a week. I am going to have a couple of months before I have the membership fee. This month we had some unexpected bills and we'll be OK but we are doing the hotdog and beans thing for a bit. I can still get into DG but I don't know if I can post. So don't get nervous if you don't hear from me, I'll be back. Keep my seat warm.
Chuck

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Be well, Chuck.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)
