Good to hear, Weege. Thanks for the update.
I'm having a baby...part 2
I forgot to say hi to Anna, HI ANNA!
I still have an hour to go on Pacific coast time. Come on Emma....
Hi Anna, nice to see you here.
Edited to say...of course I remember Art and his show. It was the funniest show around at that time. :-)

Yep, kids say the darndest things!
good one DP !!! LOL
Hello back to you all!
I heard some women eat with very spicy food that will help (it work that I heard some program when I was in CA few yrs ago)....
Anna, she's probably tried everything, Emma just is too comfy where she is right now. That's ok, at least now we know in 2 days the wait will be over.
Emma might be comfortable, but how's her mama doing?
Not so comfy! She doesn't complain very much but is sure anxious.
It still boggles my male brain that women can carry a baby inside them, then deliver it without exploding and then live to tell about it !
No male human being will ever be able to fully comprehend this phenomenon. It just doesn't compute in our brains.
LOL MIke, you so funny! We only look like we're going to explode!
I was always told castor oil.I know I had to take that once before surgery, and I thought everything was coming out...........LOL.
Synda, I was just talking to her about that yesterday! My 80 year old aunt was telling us that's how she was induced and we were laughing about the taste. I remember taking it when I was young for some ailment. All I can say is YUCK!
They told me to mix it with OJ and I did and choked it down. Then I didn't know if I had to pee, poop or puke.........LOL.If I remember right I did all 3..........LOL.
No, no, no...this is one of those cases when the drug is better - it just goes in the vein! LOL
Andrea, you are a better woman than I!
Mike;
I got on this thread way back when the conversation was centering around the joy of grandchildren. THEN it was OK for a guy to join in on the chatter. Believe me buddy, this is no place for us right now. I only stop by 'cause I have a guess on the weight. I already missed my 'date of birth' guess. After watching a couple of these little ones come into the world, I'm happy to keep my job as spider killer and rooftop kitty rescuer.
Beans was what did it for me. I was in the hospital for four days and nothing was going on. The night before our son was born, they gave us beans for dinner and everything was over by noon next day. lol
How funny DP! Sorry we women are sometimes a little too graphic!
OMG - !! just say NO to castor oil !! Been there - tried that...with my 4th...(warning explicit matter to follow)...did not produce a baby but the most violent vomiting I've experienced in my life to the point of thinking I was going to literally die b/c I could not get a breath in between heaving. Attractive visual, isn't it?!?
Well, I was out pulling weeds in the garden with my first. He didn't want to come out yet.
We ended up spending that night at my in-laws place and hearing "RIDERS UP" every 15 minutes or so, (local Rodeo) because we lived almost an hours drive away from the hospital.
My cousin made me take walks around the hospital, and every time we walked past the nursery I'd have a contraction. Even still, my ES took his own sweet time.
ES was the prettiest red headed baby in the whole hospital. Of course ES was the only red headed baby in the whole hospital, but it is still true. LOL!
His song was "Bad to the Bone", by John Cougar Mellencamp (sp?) He tries to live up to it sometimes. LOL!
WIB,
SW
i tried castor oil. It did not work for me Yuck!!
Please, let's not talk about that anymore! ick...
Just remind DD of those important words, "I want my epidural!". You'll all be fine.
WIB,
SW
And best to say those words about 20 min's BEFORE you really think you need it...LOL
So true, they move so slow.
WIB,
SW
Oh, good, we're back to regular drugs. ^_^
Let's see what happens, maybe it won't be so bad for Andrea. I had no problems, had 4 of mine natural, the last one was a C-section. I'm thinking that Andrea will have no problems and will be a real trooper like her mom!
She's already a trooper! Moving house so late in her term could not have been easy, even if she had willing hands to help. I think her good genes have already shown themselves!
Emma is almost here!!! 4cm and a epidural soon!!! I will keep you all updated as I hear more!!!
Hang in there, Grandma, she's almost here!
Redtootsiepop was closest to the date!
Why am I so excited? LOL!
Prayers being sent up for mama - baby Emma and grandma, of course!! Hugs to all
She's here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG....details - details...how's she doing? How's the mama?? Everyone ok and healthy
I am trying to get details. For some reason our new grandma is busy at the moment :o)
No excuses. :O)
LOL...ok...tell her as soon as she's snipped the cord and kissed her bitty cheeks...details. Shessh...gotta go to a meeting...will check in when back. Praise Jesus...a new sweet baby!!!
Our Emma arrive at 12:43 pm she is 6lbs and 13 oz. She is 20 inches long!!!
Congrats Louise and Andrea!!! Can't wait to hear all the good news and see a real picture with Louise holding her new grandbaby.
Looks like Synda hit the weight right on. I was only an ounce more. lol
Hope all is well with everyone.
Donna
Yippee! Congratulations, Louise - didn't you guys do a good job? LOL Love and west wishes to everyone - mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, aunts & uncles, great-gran...
Glad it wasn't one of those marathon births, too!
Kathleen
