I have to take little doggie for his shots in a few. When I get I have to download pics from the camera. The Pileated was here this morning and I hopefully got at least 1 good one.

Just the usuals stopping by for breakfast. No new or interesting birds this a.m. The doves are mating and I noticed a half-dozen Cowbirds are feeding with them this morning. They are also mating. Following the doves around so they can lay in their nests.

Thought I'd post another kind of critter-- one of my yard dogs. Shot from my dining room window.

Oh wow! RDR, is that red fox? Wow the thing is huge!!!

It's a coyote, Lily. And he's a biggun. I see him from time to time, but usually too dark to shoot.

Adel, that is a wonderfully funny photo of the Steller's Jay.

Alrighty...back from the vet. First the Northern Flickers from yesterday. This pic shows the 2 in the yard. The one furthest back is the male, the closest one the female.

The female...she strikes me as a young bird...but really have no idea.

Male #1 in the yard...

The female flew up in to the tree. She is on the upper branch. Male #2 is on the lower branch. Sorry it is such a bad photo.

Well 8 AM is not a good time for me to try and get good photos...LOL

FINALLY!!

Every day I wander to the creekbank several times, hoping to see that the warblers are arriving. Had one glimps of a Common Yellowthroat last week, a couple female Yellow-rumped yesterday, and today the beautiful Audubons.

Also discovered my FOY Evening Grosbeak.

Grabbed a pic of this Great Egret on one of the ponds at mid-afternoon. Light is harsh and I wasn't close enough, but close as he was going to let me.

And right after I snapped his pic, I spotted the Upland Sandpiper I saw the other day. Got a little closer, but not much.

Man, I want to see an Evening Grosbeak sooooo bad! Beautiful tiger.

Nanny those are good shots of the Pileated. If you come up by the end of May, you might see some Evening Grosbeak .:)
