Since Spring is Spranging I decided to start this thread with some American Robins.

Add some gold with a Lesser Goldfinch.

Blend in a couple of male California Quail.

Spice it up with a Whie-crowned Sparrow (it just showed up today and is still spooky).

And finish with a Scrub Jay catching some late evening sun.

Now that's a recipe for success! Great pics! I saw 2 flocks of turkeys this week-one in the yard today.

It's a windy and cold day. My finches are trying to stock up for the colder days ahead. She's looking straight at me as if to say "Whatcha looking at?" LOL.

Oooops, or was that a Pine siskin? I give, sometimes I can't differentiate Pine siskins, goldfinch and house finches. Any tips to help me out please?

Pine siskins have sharper beaks and those yellow touches on the sides. I think it's a pine siskin. House finch males are reddish and females stckier than siskins, goldfinches yellow and rounder.

Look at this sweet little Carolina Chickadee hanging from the suet basket eating the last crumbs. Doesn't he look young?
