Tropical Garden #34

Portland, TX(Zone 9a)

Well bummer. I was all set to put my coleus in the ground tomorrow.

Can anyone help me identify the following shrub and vine I posted on the id forum? They are at my church and I don't know what they are so I don't know how to care for them.

Phughes, sorry that you will not get to plant your babies this weekend. and sorry that I can not help with your plant ID.

We need a volunteer with a nice tropical picture to start a new thread soon.
April should be a good month for our tropical plants to start popping up .

loving all the pictures/ it is good to see what I have to look forward too.. the red canna is begging to stay outside right now, but it is still in the 20s' until mid next week at nights my japanese glorys are blooming away, and the lobata has a new flush, all my plants have arrived that I have ordered and they are waitinting patiently as I am.. I bumped my week vacation to the week after next so I will be biting at the bit to get things going.. that post of the burgandy leaf I posted a thread or two ago has really changed now.. leafing out everywhere and not burgandy anymore sure looks like my iochroma from last years stick I had as a cutting.. but the new leaves start out burgandy? I have no clue now LOL will wait and see what becomes of it when it goes outside..

rose_hip, your Philo. is spectacular, even turned sideways, and so is that big Begonia.
This little Philo.Golden Emerald would look very good planted next to your Black Cardinal. I will have to find me one of those.

My Amaryllis are blooming. But it looks like I'll have to locate a Pasadina amaryllis, that one is gorgeous.

I'm surprised that ya'll can grow beautiful flowers in Texas. Every time I go to Austin, it's bone dry.
