Oh My Gosh...
Looks Like Riley beat us all first on thread!!!
Is n't she Gorgeous, and Uanti Judy is right hear with her...
Reading a story don't ya know!
Hi everyone!!
Hi Judy, that's Kyle, Cookie's grandbaby!! Aww.. you're reading Dom De Luise, aren't you?
Synda, sorry to hear about Rick's grandma. Send our regards will you. Thanks for letting us know.
BJ, I've never grown bell peppers...not a fan of bell peppers, but love those long cayenne peppers. This year, we'll be growing the same.. just cayenne peppers, all kinds of tomatoes and of course my favorite eggplants. Kel insists every year he'd love to have tomatoes in our garden, but every year, it's me that enjoy them eaten fresh!! Especially popping those sweet cherry tomatoes. One year when I had my nieces and nephew over, they can't wait for the cherry tomatoes to fully ripened! It's a novelty for those city kids!
Donna, yes, you seem more happier. PTL.. He has certainly paved the way for you and Max to return 'home'. You folks gonna have a nice ride home.
Waiting on news from Kim and hopefully Susan will report soon, to tell us that she's not going back to her shell!
Trisha and Laura, I got the emails. Will print out the instructions. Thank you so much!
Cody, after that phone visit we had, I coughed up some phlegm. Whatever's in my lungs.. it's breaking up!
Well, I had soup today and some jalapenos to open up my sinuses. Now I'm hungry for something more substantial. Like some Ramen noodles!
Heh, well, Jaye, I just posted and it took so long to type, there's a new room. really am heading for bed now, but may also be MIA for rest of weekend with part activities - Ruth hasn't told me how many teens are coming, or how many girls are staying over. you won't believe how hard one girl fought to have a male friend (not boyfriend) to stay. Duh. what are they thinking when they ask???? I finally told her, "boys stay over when you live under your own roof, not mine. and don't tell me about it then either."
LOL, well color me blush...isn't He gorgous, er I mean Handsom....
Joyce he's splendid...congratulations.
Yep, reading Charlie the Caterpillar. Did I tell you I found that book?
Lolol Bonnie... the nerve of that girl!! You have fun now, and when you need some horse tranquilizer let me know!
Yep, Judy, you had told me.. Kel's surprised that Dom De Luise is a man of many talents.
Well, Jaye... we don't eat bell peppers either very often... but I do put them in soups, and some casseroles... and of course they're a have to for fajitas. I just saved the seeds from one last year, just to see if they'd grow.
I'm a fool for punishment, I guess.
Yes... I just want to squeeze Kyle's cheeks... gotta get some of Joyce's g'ma sugar for myself.
Kel loves them in fajitas too, BJ. Only way I'll eat bell peppers, unless I skinned them. If not, my stomach will certainly throw an overdrive. Lolol!!
Wouldn't be hard to peel them after they're baked, like stuffed peppers... now, that's something I haven't made in a very long time... maybe I'll do that if my pepper plants actually make peppers.
Hadn't had stuffed bell peppers in a long time. But did make some stuffed poblano peppers. Char the skin of the peppers first before baking. Oooh good with extra white cheese!
Ohoh, that sounds scrumptious!
Gotta say, I love suffed peppers,,,blink, blink without the pepper!
Judy!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can you like stuffed peppers without the peppers???
So, you just do a virgin stuffing then? Lol!!
Virgin Stuffing... ROTFL...
I haven't love to seer the skins of peppers... when we grill jalapenos, they're best if the fire kisses them before they leave the grill.... mmmm.
I also planted some zuchini today... we also grill those when we do steaks... way too lishious when they're seered just a bit.
Grilled zucchinis, eggplants, squash and even tomatoes are delicious!! Kinda bring out their natural sugars.
Watched 20/20 just now..can't believe an estimated 1 million kids will be affected.
Pineapple.....Grill fresh pineapple......yum!
Oh yes.. with a touch of cinnamon on those pineapples Synda! Now you're talkin'!
So... who's grilling tomorrow?
LOL... hadn't thought to grill pineapples... bet I do them soon, though.
didn't see 20/20... what was it about?
LOL, yep, love the stuff inside...smack, smack, not to mention..The Sauce...mmmmhmm.
not to crazy about peppers, but DH loves them...LOL I had a single harvest last year for a
Carrot pepper...hahaha, I mean single as in one tiny lil pepper. But DH ate it in one bite...and then watered and teard and did one of those ohhhhhh, lol add some desprerate sound to that.
guess it was hot. teehee.
Neither Don or I like hot peppers... except grilled jalapenos... they're not really hot after they're grilled... just great flavor to them.
OMG, I can imagine him crying.. would be a perfect if he's auditioning for a soap opera character, Judy!
Just watched the segment on how this economy has created a new group of homeless folks... the middle class ones. They also showed a group of students pleading their case on YouTube "Is anyone listening", and that video happened to grab the president's attention. Don't have the stomach to watch the next segment.. scam on foreclosures.
Think that's what our Sistah Donna went through. :(
Poor Kel can't stand being depressed anymore, and he popped a tape of Boz Scaggs..
Oh ...........jalapenos,chop them up and mix in cream cheese and the put a healthy dab in a won ton wrapper and seal up,then deep fry.......ooooooo la la.
Synda, at one time, I'd be crazy putting jalapenos in vanilla ice-cream.
Yep a sight for sure. Wished I had camera, was definaltey a kodack moment. haha.
Wow, Synda, never heard of grilling pinaple, but now I think of it sounds tastey...
Seen that on a Paula Deen cooking Show and had to try it ,now we do it all the time.
BJ you have been Buusssssy!! Sounds like it is going to be beautiful
If you are making stuffed Peppers, Jim’s (Potegere)recipe is to die for….I have people who do not like stuffed peppers asking for the recipe on this one!
Synda, so sorry for the loss….give our hugs and prayers to Rick and all the family.
Too many good food ideas going on…..and I just finished dinner !!
Sage and I went grocery shopping….now there is an expedition for you….my ears are exhausted!
Trisha, try doing it with THREE girls in tow. My nieces were fascinated with the American supermarkets! All I hear were.. "What is that Tata?" or "Oooh, we have that in France.." or.. "Not bad" when they look at the prices! But when it's cooking time, they'd not to be seen...
Synda and Judy, my first taste of grilled pineapples were at a Brazillian restaurant. Now, when we can get hold of fresh pineapples, we love doing that.
As a kid, I used to dip pineapples in soy sauce. It was yummy then.
Bidding all a good night. Cya'll tomorrow!
Night Jaye,I'm right behind you!!!!!
Night Jaye, Night Synda....sleep well...........
Speaking of pineapples... I never ate many of them... not something I kept in the house... but, a couple years ago Don and I spent 7 days in Hawaii, and I couldn't get my fill of them... we just can't get them that sweet and juicy here on the mainland... they get them ripe and fresh from the Dole Plantation... and when they're shipped to the mainland, they're picked before they're ripe. It really makes a difference.
Yes, Trisha... I have been busy... and getting a lot done... IT'S SPRING !!!
My son brought my g'daughter over tonight... she wants to ride jet skis tomorrow, but I told her we work first... if she get's enough done around 2:00, and if it's warm enough, we'll ride. Suppose to only be in the mid 70's tomorrow... so, no water play unless it gets above 80.
Sorry... this g'ma is a wimp when it comes to cold water showers on the lake.

What a sweet baby boy to start this thread!!! ;o)
Sorry I haven't been around. Lots of stuff to do outside...
Bill dug some more on the pond yesterday. Funny, when he started it he was in shorts, (two days ago). Yesterday, he had his winter coat and hat on! Amazing what 2 days can do! I'm getting excited now. I keep going over the pictures from the last pond tour.
I don't know what I did at exercise yesterday, but OH MY did my deltoid muscle hurt. It is better today so I'm relieved about that.
Having dinner with friends tonight. Looking forward to some gab time with my girlfriend. She's a teacher and her hubby is a farmer, so Bill and him get along just fine.
I'm hoping for another beautiful day today. Have a good one!
Morning everyone!
LK
Good Morning!
So sorry to up and leave, just all the sudden was exhausted!
Layed down as to rest a minute and well, it's now morning. LOL.
Trisha, Oh my he turned out Splendid...He is just so adorably ugly huh. He was the reason I even looked at the book! I am so glad you are making them hows the door coming?
Yesterday i worked inside the house, so today is going to be pretty nice, lol BJ not in the 70 but nice enough to work outside...Wow, can't even imagine being in the water just yet. Hope they have fun on Jet skis.
Ok...curious, whats seared? like just lightly cooked?? Will have to give grilled pinapple a try.
Waving Hello to all.
Joyce your DGS is precious!!
So is your DGD Deborah...was waiting for some pictures. maybe today all bundle with a lil baseball cap on...
Are you feeling better Jay.
Well, I am not sure how long I will have computer, DH has to read this book for a test. Ick all on line.
Have a good morning...got to go skip around and read.
Good morning!! Happy Saturday!!! Happy Eve Sunday!!!
Sheeesh... Cody.. I was voiceless right through the night. Needless to say Kel was extremely happy!! Whatever are in my lungs, I kinda expelled lots of it. In the middle of the night, I broke fever.
So, you could say I should be ready for the compulsory Saturday shopping!! He he he!!
LK, where will you and your dad be touring today? When I was taking care of ex late mum, Saturday is Waffle House day. Pancakes with lots of maple syrup.
Judy, don't skip when you're reading! You're a funny one!!!! I bet it's nothing but laughter in your house. To sear, is to scorch the surface of your meat/vege/fruit----for maybe less than a minute, depending on the food. You don't want the pineapple charred bad.. just enough for a little burnt effect. Or like BJ says... to kiss the flames. If you want some pizazz, sprinkle some cinnamon sugar right before serving. Not necessary to do so, but Kel likes it that way.
Cookie, you'll soon be pushing a cart loaded with plants for your new pond. Best Bill doesn't take his time with it!
Hi Trisha.. so who is this cute ugly rascal. Yep, I feel the mischief suppressed so he could obey your commands this morning! I got to make me one, now that you've given instructions.
Have a good day sistahs and nieces!
Morning... well... it's almost 10:00 and those kids are still asleep... guess they're not wanting to get much done today...
Today is Dig-Up-The-Daylilies Day... I'm going to divide the clumps, and scatter them in the front bed... and then, that bed will be finished... finally... will just be a bed of orange lilies next year... I already moved all the daisies out of that bed (and all the other various starts I acquired) to another bed between the azaleas... so when the azaleas quit blooming, the daisies will start... I hope that works out like I planned.
Then, I'll concentrate on the other end of the house where it's all shade.
Trisha... you're little ugly man is too cute for words... he's just adorable.
Deborah .... check in NANA ... and don't forget pictures !!!
Cody... your Camellias are beautiful... I was reading on how to root them, and I think I'll get cuttings from my neighbor this June... she has a really nice Red one that I'd love to get a start of... I understand they're not easy to root... but hey, I can try.
I hear a kid stirring... so, I better get started... another cuppa, then back to work.
Somehow BJ reminds me of that pink Energizer rabbit... keeps going.. going........
Chris is doing a windchime swap, since Sis Kathy's tied up with Hurricane.
Maid M.. don't miss out on this!
