Today's Weather in Your Garden - 42

Suns out w/ blue sky

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Gorgeous day and I have to clean the house! Family coming tomorrow to celebrate my little guy's 7th birthday (actually on Monday). Hope I can finish and get outside in the PM.

Make sure you put on your apron Victor

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I wear a French maid thing.

Thats a nice outfit. But I said apron :-)

Yonkers, NY(Zone 5b)

Uh-huh.
With a little hat?

:oD

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Mais, bien sur! (But of course!)

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

My DH is a "Hoover" honey for me! Though he prefers another brand. So much so that he recently bought a new one of the same model and took the older one to our Vt house. I think they all pretty much suck. Not my favorite chore. Patti

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I hate cleaning, but it must be done. Have to get started! Just finishing the second cup of coffee.

Yonkers, NY(Zone 5b)

HAH!
You're not getting much done if you're here posting!
LOL!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

party sunny, clouds look like they're coming in.

51 high of 65 expected

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i have hoover duty as well (dyson). not a big deal still would rather not though

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

43 and overcast, just a cool damp day, but no wind or rain since last night.

I went out and took many pictures of the yard before the real blooming begins or the final clean up is done. I should have had that finished, but I have missed most of the month with my trip to Okla and this dang illness. But I did a pretty serious clean up in the fall so it isn't too bad.

It looks like we aren't going to clear off until Monday. I need some sun. Doing a little dance, but not with a hoover or dyson. How do you like that one Wha?

Here is collage of pictures that I took today of the area which will become the Japanese maple bed with 7 little holes so far. I will add more and lift all the grass as soon as my energy is back. I will leave a strip of grass between the two beds. Patti

looks like a very nice spot and on higher ground so you will not have to worry about wet roots which is a death sentence for jm's. your whole property looks great!!

Did you leave enough space for dwarf evergreens to plant next year? it looks like it!

Yes - looks good, Patti. I'll recommend some great dwarf conifer companions when you get them in!

You are way warmer than me. But I do agree you deserve it. We only got to 43 today.

This is a cool idea. Patti

Sun just trying to come out through a high cloud ceiling.

Thomaston, CT

Would like to get out & rake, but still tired after spending 8 hours babysitting yesterday---need to rebuild part of the front fence---I can't do it---DS said he will, but who knows when! Weak sunlight & around 50.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Bright sun and 55
Raking and playing in the back yard.

Brattleboro, VT(Zone 5a)

64 and sunny. Lovely in the sun; no jacket required. Cut back hydrangea; did some raking.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

About an hour ago it cleared a tad and I went outside to find some critter damage from last night. Sick of them. I think it was rabbits.

43 now and tomorrow doesn't look so great for working out side. Rain in the morning. My bulbs need some sun! Me too. And I need to rake too. Maybe on Monday. Patti
