Thanks, I look forward to that! odd folks and all. lol.
As it should be. it seems as though you're the person that is most able to help everyone else there anyhow. A good one to know!
Weird Weather of '09!! ....... #8
Oh, there's more than me. I won't serve on the board (as much as they want me to), they're the ones that have to deal with problems. I just do information.......easy.
Time for nite nite.....busy day tomorrow. Enjoy the nephew, I've never had one of those. I'm the only one of my sibs that had kids.
Good nite. Have fun tomorrow.
Yep, the nephew and i will have a lot of fun.... when i'm off of work! But, I have all day monday with him. I'm hoping for ok weather then.
Hey Red, Like #2
And I see 4 looks like 1 spider and 3 aphids
Friend of ours is in Mother Joseph's Care Center...hopefully gets to come home this week...have been out visit twice this past week....all of us who have been to visit, except for my mother thankfully, have come down with sore throats and stomach trouble. Hope it doesn't last long...my throat feels like 60 grit sand paper.
Well Red, I think I have made a final decision on which photo you should keep...#1 and #2.....
LOL Trisha....get well, sore throats are a pain.^_^
Had to let you all know it snowed here a while ago. Rained all morning, started to clear up, then big ol white flakes started coming down. Too warm to stick, but it was the funniest thing. We're back to weird again.
Beautiful PJM Katye!
I haven't been on for a bit, so it took some time to catch up.
I like #1 and I think I see 4 'bugs'. LOL
Today was 57 and a bit breeZy, but great for some time in the garden to divide and spread out.
Trisha, feel better soon.
I like picture #1 because of the pink sky. Softer. But they are both nice. I only see two bugs. The spider and above him on the outside the shadow of a beetle.
Love the anemone. Where are they located in your garden?
Willowwind.. I have them planted randomly throughout the borders
of the front yard mostly. A few in the back yard...but the front gets better sun exposure. They are small plants..so I just squeeze them in
where ever there is about an inch of available soil. I have a bag of 100 more to plant this week and they should bloom all summer.
Great plant and easy to plant and care for. Not at all fussy.
Here is a red one. They are very pretty also.
That first one looks too perfect to be real. Stunning!! I didn't realize they were so easy. Something else I can add.LOL
Those are very pretty.
Well the rain missed us today.....it was actually sunny for a good part of the day...sounds like they got a good dose of it up North however. Looked like we were starting to get some good clouds in earlier.....
Bea, lovely pictures-and really nice anenomes. Mine aren't looking that nice so far this year. What camera do you use? I'd love to be able to get the crispness you can get so close up.
I had the rain off and on all day too, and a little hail, but no snow, luckily.
What a great color that first blue anemone is!
Saturday was beautiful at the beach - cool but lots of sun. It was so relaxing to walk for miles and feel the sand and water. Koka loved it of course. Yesterday morning the storm clouds rolled in. On the way home yesterday I ran into a significant snow storm driving across the coastal range. It was a good get-away!
Glad you hit the snow on the way home and not on the beach!!
Yesterday got up to 57, so was able to get some playing in the dirt done. Today it is currently only 34. My forsythia is about to pop out.
Pretty purples!
All of you are making me so jealous! We're still in the deep freeze!!!! A whopping 28° with a windchill of 21°!!! WOOHOO!!!
Love all of the flowers!
Susan105
Bea, 12x zoom! nice! No wonder you can get such beautiful pictures. Guess I'll have to start saving up for something with a little more oomph. :)
Brrr, Susan! At least it's dry, though, right? It's been quite soggy here all day, with some really chilly wind gusts mixed in just for fun.
Cold here again, and wet all day. Sun comes out once in a while, but no warmth to it. Spent part of the day watering orchids, so at least it was something green and a couple are blooming.
I agree. Twas cold. It even snowed a little bit here. Didn't stick, which is excellent.
Bea, great shots. I'm so glad that you mentioned the name of that anemone. I'm going to have to try to hunt it down. Is there a local place that you know of that carries it?
It just occurred to me that these two pictures that I took yesterday are examples that fit for "weather" pictures. Probably even weird weather, given that it's nearing late march.
Ok, these two pictures were taken at the same time yesterday, at sunset, on top of Lookout Reservior. Looking west towards Eugene and eventually the coast.
so, then turn 180deg., facing east towards the mountains and my place. I didn't change any settings on the camera either.
RC, please don't ask us to pick one of those two! They're absolutely stunning.
Last day of frost? Today? Hope we're that lucky. After last year I'd more believe April 23, though.
Thanks Susy... no, not picking between the two. lol. Just showing the two different weather systems that one could see standing in the same spot! I agree, it would be nice if today were the last day. But I think unlikely. However, last years tardiness of it was really crappy.
Currently 28, but it is sunny.
It is 34d and cloudy, but I see blue sky around the edges. Another cool day.
Those pictures are fantastic!
Full moon in April is the 10th I think and then we may be frost free.
Shelly what fantastics pics!
susybell, yah, it was dry here yesterday and today but still cool. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it warms up soon.
Sally, at least boys aren't as hormonal as girls thank goodness. LOL! I guess our oldest GD who is only 10 thinks and acts like an 18 yr old already, poor DD all three of the GK's will be teenagers at the same time. UGH!!!
Speaking of the GK's, the oldest GD and the GS both have the flu. DD thought is was something else as the GD was complaining of her back hurting and they thought it was kidney infection so she took her to the ER there in Vancouver, as per her Dr's office suggestion since they couldn't get her in to see her. Thank goodness that wasn't it. They did however admit her for the night to keep an eye on her fever. Apparently it spiked a couple times during the night to 102°, DD spent the night in the hospital with her and went home this morning to get our SIL's lunch together and get the other 2 off to school to discover the GS had a fever of 101°. When it rains it pours in her family!
Hope everyone is feeling good!
TTYL,
Susan105
Very nice. The latch is a nice touch . . .
Amazing photos Red - I especially like the second one. The colors are beautiful.
Hope everyone gets over the flu soon. It's not fun when the whole family gets sick at the same time! I've been fighting a bug for the last few days but if I take it easy, take warm baths and get lots of sleep as soon as I feel it coming, that usually works for me.
Trisha who is that scary creature sitting next to the door? He/she/it frightens me!
