nice lilac bud dayne!

Thomaston, CT

Nice---I, too, love the lungworts--have a few, but don't see them here yet. Here is a grass I love---very short & tidy---would like to get a few more, but don't know what it is.

Hah, Jan! I know the feeling. Last year I bought plant labels but even with that I still have the odd sprouts here and there. I usually have a few weeds that I nurse along all spring until I realize my mistake.

Here's a grape Hyacinth...

I'll have to go out and look closely at the grapies here. They are one of my favs!

I know you have a lot of beauties just dying to pop up under that snow, Celeste. It won't be long. If it helps, it is snowing here right now.

Still snow here. Well not on the lawn. Its going to be pick-em-up-sticks weekend.

It's so pretty...and not WHITE!

Celeste its not warm here at all.........

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice, Dyane! You're speeding past me now. I really like the allium and the crocus shots. I saw some of that yellow bulb foliage too - from coming up and then being buried by snow.

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

Thanks, Victor. I had left all the fallen leaves piled up on that bed so I hadn't realized how much they had grown until I cleared them.

Here's a little Campanula 'Dickson's Gold', tiny but bright.

Great eye, Bill. Hard to get one past you!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

is it stuck?

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

Love the crocus, Victor. Is that Tricolor?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks Dyane. Not sure - I planted it a few years back.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Looks like a finch to me.

Yellow finch.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Florida wren.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not a yellow finch. Had them today too, but did not get the camera in time.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Victor, Must be still winter at your house. I think you have a winter plumage female goldfinch. Patti

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Really?

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Think so, but I will ask DH. He most likely knows. We still have some with no yellow yet or just starting to brighten up. I am sick in bed with the crude, so I may have it all wrong. I wanted to go out and take pictures of my reticulated iris that have popped up, but feeling too crappy to do anything. Patti

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

REALLY? They're brown in the winter? Cool. I thought they were always yellow.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

DH says goldfinch, probably a male. I see now that the bars on the wing are more pronounced than on the female. Patti

Thanks - and feel better, Patti!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Thanks, my maples need attending, but can't do that today either. I should have said "huge" Jmaples. patti

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sorry, but they're no match for mine.

Victor, cute doll house. Patti

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sickness must be affecting your eye, Patti! I just had confirmation that the bird is a condor.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

If it is a condor, watch out for those little twigs by your doll house, good nesting material.

DH took some pictures to cheer me up. Patti
