Male or Female? You might not have known this, but a lot of non - living objects are actually either male or female . Here are some examples:

FREEZER BAGS: They are male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.

PHOTOCOPIERS: These are female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again.
They are an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can also wreak havoc if you push the wrong Buttons.

TIRES: Tires are male, because they go bald easily and are often over inflated

HOT AIR BALLOONS: Also a male object, because to get them to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under their butt.

SPONGES: These are female, because they are soft, squeezable and retain water.

WEB PAGES:
Female, because they're constantly being looked at and frequently getting hit on.

TRAINS: Definitely male, because they always use the same old lines for picking up people.

EGG TIMERS: Egg timers are female because, over time, all the weight shifts to the bottom.

HAMMERS: Male, because in the last 5000 years, they've hardly changed at all, and are occasionally handy to have around.

THE REMOTE CONTROL: Female. Ha! You probably thought it would be male, but consider this: It easily gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know which buttons to push, he just keeps trying

: It is with the saddest heart that I must pass on the following news

It is with the saddest heart that I must pass on the following news. Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, Snap-Crackle and Pop along with Captain Crunch. The gravesite was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knewhow much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times he was still a crusty old man and was considered a roll model for millions. Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly dad, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes. If this made you smile for even a brief second, pass it on to someone who kneads it.

HA HA HA Did I have ya going at first..LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Tubby, did you know we have the Pillsbury plant here in Midland..lots of dough boys running around this neighborhood..

Riley got out last night, about 3 am I went to the door to check and see if she'd return, well there sitting on the rocker was that replica of my Missy, enjoying the soft cushion..didn't take her long to flee..lol..

Great jokes Tubby!! And no, I don't "foster" dogs.
I'm just helping out the breeder of our Golden puppy. She kept 2 of the puppies (unintended) from Sailor's litter (our dog) and we said we'd foster one of them for a little while for her. So we actually switch b/t the 2 puppies every two weeks. This is mainly so they don't get too used to each other so when the time comes for one of them to find a new home. So this week, we have both puppies b/c her momma dog just whelped a new litter yesterday. So, we're just helping out for a week (PLEASE!). Yes, I am over it now too. All four dogs last night proceeded to shatter the gate we had blocking an entry way. So now we have their crates blocking the opening and I've got to head to WalMart to get a new one! On top of that, the rain continues and I am really over that!!!!

Well, off to work!

Pacifica, CA

happy st patty's day all,

well off to work still feel yucky but what can you do!
anjl, no not this year cant go would be nice but to tempting lol

thanks trisha and betty

Victoria Harbour, ON

AnnMarie, have you crushed stone or just level ground under the mold?
Where I am making the DG friendship garden there is an old metal shed I'm revamping to look more appealing..sod would have to be removed first..the nice thing about it is you could do a little area at a time right..not so good about it, you just want to keep pouring..lol

Tubby that's quite an undertaking to make that John Deere Tractor..would you have room on your lawn for it?

Trisha, beautiful photo...and Happy St. Patricks Day to all of you and your families..I`m wearing green...not my favorite color but one must celebrate the day...

Aches and pains, the joys of growing older..don`t remember when I was young hearing the generation before me talk about such pain..do you think it`s because we`re not as activeÉÉÉ

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Terry I grew up and lived the first 33 1/2 years of my life in Modesto, Dave's from San Jose.

It's all foggy here this morning, I feel right at home!

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Wow, you all just keep so busy. Betty, so far your sketch is looking really good! Let us know when it is finished please! Congrarts on the new sewing machine!
Tubby, I had to look twice at those tractors, I was trying to figure out where the motor was! LOL
I would not make it a month with out my chiropractor! he keeps everything aligned, and yes, if you have a bad ankle it will make you walk funny, and throw everything out of kilter, first your knees, then your back!!! And it keeps going from there.
Anjl, good luck on your job hunting! How is your kidney stone doing? I think that is what your last ailment was? Has it passed yet?
Love your cobble stone walk way! That looks really nice! How soon after you pour the concrete, can you move it to the next spot? Do you have to let it set a bit first? It looks like you rounded the stones a bit? it looks nice.
Trisha, love the green garden lady! She is so adorable.
Now I can't remember what else I was going to say, so I will just say hello to everyone. Hope your all doing well.
Laura from Down ubder, hope your lurking and doing well.
Pop in and say hello when you can.

LK

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

Hi LK,

no kidneystone. I went to urologist and he said they found no stone, wanted to send a camera to see what was causing the kidney pain, but I put a stop to that idea real quick! lolol! so, now its just a wait and see game. I go back in for another uti test next week, said maybe a uti and wasnt showing up on the culture?...dont know, all I know is uti test is pain free, and camera test would not be! lol!

Betty, you dont have to remove sod first, just put really thick layers of wet cardboard down, then pour cement on top...well, unless sod is too thick. I kinda leveled the area, then put down wet newspsper/cardboard or an old carpeting strip...(recycled from firends house) as the weedblock....then just poured in place. and yep, you can do a little at a time...so ya dont over do it.

Your sketch is turning out really nice. oh, and guess what? went outside this morning with my morning cuppa java and noticed that my squirrel feeder is empty! they finally found it! lol! making a mental note to refill it this afternoon, for now I'm off to the dentist.

Have a great day everyone, and HAPPY ST PATTIES DAY!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Happy Saint Patrick's Day all.
Betty we had such a good time. We visited six quilt shops in one day and finished it up with dinner together at a great eatery. I was SOOOOO good that day. I only bought fabrics on sale. I got some for the Baby quilt Challenge and for a swap block some friends are doing. But oh I looked and drooled and looked some more. You are right that the quilt shops can be more expensive but the fabrics are to die for. I try to limit myself but sometimes the temptation is just too great. I hate to say it but I have so many patterns and quilt books that I didn't even look at patterns. I did see several quilts made up for display that caught my eye. One was done in several shades of blue that was just heavenly. Picture is the baby quilt I made from those new fabrics plus the half yard we all started with.from Psychw2. It now has a yellow border and needs to be quilted and will have a blue binding to pull it all together. I'm sure some sweet child at my donation spot will love it.
Enjoy your visit with Stacey and fill us all in on what you two are up to. Till next time....
Hugs

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Just finished it Sharran !! Great job!! These are my kind of stories and I can't wait for each new addition!!! As for Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys, I had read most all of those by the time I was about ten and went on to Perry Mason...and on ....and on...

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Yep, I know what you mean, me too.

Don't you just love Pirate's latest? I was chomping at the bit wanting to do some action, but had to set it up for him. I knew he would do an amazing job with it, better than I could have done. Plus I needed to get Bill and Hulk in place. But I loved it, and think it will be an incredible story.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I think you both did a fantastic job, you two play off of each other very well....and yes it is turning into a really incredible story!!
