Rita, the flower you asked about is a Nicotiana. It looked kind of yellow on the other pic but it's actually more like a lime green color. Smells wonderful!

Hi Cass,

Beautiful pics. I think that ground orchid is a cymbidium. It's beautiful.

Phughes, my brunfelsia is about 4 ft. tall. I can't remember exactly how old it is. I kept it in a pot for several years before I planted it in the ground in one of the Hoop houses. I also have a 2 ft. brunfelsia magnifica that is supposed to have a much bigger flower. It will be it's first time to flower.
This picture was taken last week. I will take a new picture when it quits raining.

robcorreia, take good care of your Brug. Sanguinea. Everyone will be anxious to see that bloom. It is a finicky one to grow.
I am watching a bud on my heliconia too.

Planter56, I am very excited about my few buds, I waited a long time to see those.
Your pictures are wonderful. The second shot is my favorite, it is such a magnificent plant.

That Texas Mountain Laurel is fabulous. I have googled Sophora secundiflora and come up with lots of Texas aggie sites but no retail outlets for it. Does anyone know of any mail order companies that might have this beauty.
Thanks

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I don't. I don't see them around much. I had one before that I grew from seed. on the slower growing end of the scale, but have seen quite large trees they grow into, and are spectacular, not to mention the grapelike Hycinth smell they have to them..very fragrant

Thanks for getting back to me, Placenciarita, on the TM Laurel. : ) 5 Grandbabies??? I better get busy, this is just my 1st. He just turned 5 months and we can already tell he is gonna be a hand full. : )

Ardesia, I can't remember who gave me the seeds for my Texas Mountain Laurel. I know I got them in the trading/swap forums here at Dave's, tho. I don't know of any place you can get them as plants. : ( I love the leaves on them. Pretty plant.

Rj, Your YTT is outstanding. I know that phughes will love it, she has one coming into bloom soon.
I should have bought one of those plum iochroma while I was at Caldwells.

BlueGlancer, We're warmer today, but no sunshine. I will take a picture for you on the first pretty day.

Ardesia, I have a few seeds of the Texas Mountain Laurel to share. D-Mail if you would like to have a few.

No rush, Placenciarita. I won't be on the computer this week except Wed night, and then again during the weekend. My DD decided to live 40 miles away from me, and I keep the baby at her house. Can't afford to drive back and forth every day. What was she thinking? Heck, if I know. lol : )
