Didn't even know about the one up North! I'm telling ya the recession and cabin fever are driving people nuts here!! lol
Coffee Break #6 - Where did that hour go?!!
sound like they have been taking a dip for a few years
I think it's a great idea. People need to loosen up.
Now, about the photo stealing stuff, that's just plain bad. Sad, too. It makes me not want to put any pictures up here. I like sharing my pics, but not if they're going to be stolen.
It would be nice if a computer virus could be embedded in them that would activate upon being downloaded.
well that would stop me from using yours to start new threads!!
Hee hee - the owner could de-activate it!
Uh oh. That would be bad for me, too. I sometimes download photos for my personal reference. But I don't re-post someone else's photo on the net!
i have done the same thing for my "i would like to have list" so i don't have to go back and search for info on the plant again and again.
Okay - it only activates when it's uploaded again.
and how does that work when i use, ah let's say someone's else's pic from plant files to start a thread?
Only when the watermark is removed?
Now you're getting picky!
Use your own pic to start a thread Bill! You have great pics anyway.
Thanks for the info, Jo Ann---didn't realize you could do that. I have all the original watercolors, so that should count for something. Candyce--what a nice gift to the town & to your GD!
with all these places "borrowing" victors pics i thought WHY NOT ME :)
Hee hee.
Come welcome a new guest!

Pixie more of your seeds started up today!!!!
Cool! Congrats!
get so excited when I see them poking up
Yes it is.
I was going to tell you to be nice... thought about what i typed ... afterwords
Hee hee. Usually excitement results in poking. ^_^
Victor, I wonder why none of my photos have ever been hijacked? (snort, snort)
Me too Dave. I guess white on white on weeds isn't a biggie.
Hee hee!
I haven't dare look at the mountain laurel except from very afar. I don't want to see what damage the ice storm did to it. I know that the rhody next to the house doesn't look too good right now.
hang tough sherri and hope they look better as it get's warmer - the rody will recover and let's hope the alberta spruce are just wind burnt - are they near the rody? if so they probably dealt with the same conditions
Watching the news as I work out. All about Madoff's plea. Amazing how the victims keep blaming everyone on earth but themselves. I feel bad for these people and there is no punishment good enough for this guy, but these people were incredibly stupid.
I agree, there is no free lunch.
The scheme had been going on for so long and people at the bottom had ben paid off so word of mouth must have made it sound "too goood to be true"
Who throws all their money at one person?
One woman said she lost millions- - -if I had money like that I sur wouldnt give it all to a fund.
Or just listened to some bad advice from those people who were supposed to give them good advice. I don't think that Kevin Bacon would be as susceptible if he had examined the transactions himself. But, when you're Kevin Bacon, who has the time to read the fine print?

How can you not be suspicious about virtually constant returns over 20 years, through up and own markets?!! And he certainly had lots of help - from his family and others.
dropping needles in not a good sign - i'm guessing they are in different areas - all you can do is hope for the best.
the rody may drop some of those brown leaves - it will recover.
madoff needs to spend a full day with jack bauer once a month, the rest of the time alone in solitary confinement. and yes these folks should have diversified. still there is no punishment that is painful enough for this guy. you know he has $$ hidden for family, lets hope it can be found.
The rhodie looks healthy at the bottom so I think there is much hope. Some recommend using an anti-transpirent on evergreens that are prone to winterburn/dehydration. Supposedly it greatly reduces the moisture loss from the needles.
