Coffee Break #6 - Where did that hour go?!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

that was on the news here last night - hard to believe - they interviewed some of the kids and they though the women started it - like that would give the guy the right to beat her up

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i and going to brag a bit about my wife - she is the director of nursing at a long term pediatric care facility in groton, ma and they were just notified that they have been graded as one of the top 25 facilities in the nursing home/pediatric care field in the NATION!!

Very proud of her

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

WOOHOO!!! Brag away. Great news. That is a big job. Stressful, too, I'm sure!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Congrats to Mrs. Wha for a job well done!!!!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

thx jan and celeste - she is pretty happy about it.

i just try and stay close to her - she has a free pass to heaven - it you ever saw these kids and how disabled they are you'd know why

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I have a disabled son, he has MR, mild CP and a seizure disorder that meds can't control. Because of him I have seen plenty, believe me!

Edited to add: IMHO, we need more people like your wife on this earth.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

My copper bird bath I got for Christmas is rusting....I called the company to find out why it's listed as copper since copper doesn't rust, she told me well it's for decorative use only...I'm said ok but it's still rusting so why is it listed as copper there is a stake for putting it in the ground it's not an indoor birdbath...again she uses the line it's for decorative use only...I'm like is that the only thing you say???
UGH, well they sent me a free one but now I know to treat it first since it's not real copper...they ticked me off so much I won't be shopping from them again.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Jen, if a DG vendor make a note in Garden Watchdog, or just tell us :)

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Argh! That is a pet peeve of mine. Why don't they just advertise the truth! Alot of folks might buy an imitation and treat it at the get go if the price was right and it looked nice. AND what exactly is a 'decorative bird bath'? Like is it for people who have 'decorative birds'? Sorry for ranting but this kind of thing just makes we want to call out the dragons.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Well I bought an iron bidbath and it rusted too. I still have it, but it's propped up without it's base. The other one was great as it was ceramic and didn't rust. But then one of the squirrels landed on it and broke the bath part. So the moral of the story is.... whatever you feel like making it.

Love the agastache
How far apart do you plant it.
Forest Farm has it but not a lot of info, like does it spread like other agastaches?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I winter sowed some last year... outside & inside... both did well... as for spreading I am sure it will but not sure how much yet... depending on which site you look at... hardy to zone 6 or 7... finding mixed info

I took some out of a container last year and planted it in the garden... only time will tell
