Yes, I plan on the virtual one first.
Coffee Break #6 - Where did that hour go?!!
btw way celeste i like the bird house!
love that western theme Pixie!!!!.... video cracked me up too... Randy says it's the loose floorboards
Hee hee - that's a good one. When I was in elementary (Catholic) school, a kid farted while in confession. We all heard it and could not stop laughing!!
But you were forgiven.
Take it from someone who has been there. Colonoscopy is not as bad as you think. Dentist visits are more uncomfortable.
Especially if they're doing a colonoscopy.
Don't know about you, but for me that's the wrong end.
Great pickup line.
Thanks for the terrific chuckle you guys!! I usually blame it on the dog.
Celeste, I think that would be a great fairy house. Hey, where's the bird hole?
i don't know dave - my in-laws seem to be having great fun with my soon to be set appointment - they keep sending me the Dave Barry colonoscopy explanation over and over - if you've not read it i can copy and post - a classic
Loved the part about the laxative.
Hi Harper.the hole for the bird is on the side of the house, didn't want to take away from the art work I assume.
Oh. How will the birds know where it is?
Uh, Bill? I think I'd like to read Dave Barry's explanation. I love him.
WOWA Hope they get what's comming to them.
Can Iris forum members go to GW and state that the seller may have miss labled plants?

Sounds familiar. I found two more websites using my photo.
Guess accountability is no longer a virtue ...... :-(
I was brought up that morals are how you behave when you KNOW no one is looking!
I was tought" If your mother wouldnt approve,- - - Dont do it"
and "If in doubt - - -Dont"
Daylily forum found a guy on ebay taking pictures from the DL forum and hybridizer's who's seedlings have not even been introduced yet. They then change the name of the lily just slightly, such as 'Got Milk' becomes 'Gothic Milk'.
Here's the thread..we have a few good daylily detectives here at DG. hee hee he

One of the places using my photo told Terry that the photo was from a public garden! My house is clearly in the pic. Anyway, even if it was a garden, it is still MY photo and they cannot use it without my permission. Incredible. That's one downer about the internet - people think everything that pops up on a search is free to use.
How much for a kidney?
Depends if its live tissue or a bean!
Ebay will pull an auction off if it violates thier poilcy. I have had 3 items pulled off.
1. A police badge. Cant sell them unless they are out of use. I did not put the word Vintage in. Poof - cancelled.
2. Microsoft Windows 1997. You know who owns MS! I did not put in the description: It was put on my computer and completly removed from my computer. The computer has been junked.
3. This really ticked me off. I put on THIS IS A TEST Dont bid. I was trying a different way to get a picture in. I put it in the catagory Very Unusuall and they pulled it! Of course they kept my .35 cents to list it. GRRRRRRRR
Kinda makes you wonder, doesn't it?
The unethicacy of some people! And the nerve, too
As a artist and Arts Festival participant for 30 years I can tell you its hard to go after people who do this.
Artists dont have the resources to hire a lawyer to litigate the outright stealing of original designs. There isnt ant copyright either.
I'm sure DG'ers whove had their pictures taken cant sue the offender either, and I'm really tired of the old" copying is the sincerest form of flattery" It just doesnt float with me and normally I am diplomatic in those instances but I really let them have it when I catch them.
They sell my ideas and designs cheaper than I do because"I'm just a beginner and didnt think it was a valuable as yours"
Dont get me started.
DG ers have the GW to place bad reviews when a site gets caught. I would notify the offender first just in case they inocently used from someone else who built the site for them.
I ts done all the time.
On the one hand I was peved at Garden Crossings for keeping theit products so its impossible to save them by right clicking on the plant and saving to my pictures. I dont use them for anything but composing new gardens and making coleus combos.
They are among a growing group who have built in image theft protection.
Thats way beyond ny ciberknowlege.
I ordered 2 Shutterfly books that I had written & illustrated for my GD. The first was perfect & was her B-day present---I only opened the 2nd one yest.---it had the correct cover, but the inside was someone's photo album. I called, & they are sending a new one, but who has the original? What's to stop them from publishing my book? Raises some interesting questions.
Ohh Marilyn I hope they have the original.
You can copyrite your own work by copying every page and mailing it to yourself.
Keep it unopened because it will have a US Post office time-date stamp and you can prove the plagerized works are yours even if you dont have the originals.
I hope the book publishers will return your originals.
I just did the same thing, RobinDog, through Wal*Mart. I had a lot of the photos that Sammi took of December's ice storm all done and put into a book to give to her for her birthday. She cried when she saw it, and then cried even more when she saw that I had made two identical books. The second book she signed and then donated to the Town last night at Town Meeting. Wouldn't having her signature in it almost be the same as a copyright I wonder? In any case. The books were beautiful and she loved them!
Celeste what is up with these places in Maine? :)

You can sign anything ,original or copy ,at anytime ,theres no way to prove its yours unless you get an USP time stamp.
This way if in a month or a year when someone rips you off you can prove you made the item when USP posted it.
Dont open the self addressed work or all bets are off.
You need the sealed envelope with time and date to prove when you created the work.
So many places to see icicles!!
What a hoooot
I love the comments following that article! Forgive the pun, but they crack me up!
