Nice m3r- I've never heard of this violet. It really looks healthy. I like it and I'm not fond of white flowers.

I'm not usually fond of white ones either, but this has a tinge of yellow at least.
And it's so tiny and cute... Plus it was a gift from someone I love.. So that's why I like it :-D

Dimmer...your plants are looking great! I too like your bedroom with the spaciousness, comfortable seating and of course the light stands and plants. Must be a very enjoyable space for you. Very nice.

Bemedel...lots of beauties again and always a pleasure to see. I do love those fantasies. I have a baby of Space Dust and Bristol's Zapped is going on the want list. Your sinningia Darth Vader outdid itself with spectacular blossoms.

M3...Excellent photo of Jason Bay and thanks for starting the thread.

I'm laughing at you, Lin. ^_^
Your chirita Kazu looks good plus it's going to bloom. You could give it a drink and a new pot. LOL! These gessies are tougher than we think.

(Zone 1)

LOL, I checked the rest of the Chirita's and a few more look like that too! Here's Stardust ...

Almost looks like a little palm tree.

(Zone 1)

LOL, I had a picture somewhere of an old AV Optimara Annabelle that grew and all the bottom leaves were off and it looked like an AV Palm tree! Gotta see if I can find that picture!

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

I would love to see it!

(Zone 1)

This is my Palm Tree AV last summer ... plant went to AV Heaven.

Doesn't that look just like a palm tree trunk?

That is cute!

Ok, here it is . . . it's not all the way open yet, but this is the first bloom . . . I grew it from a leaf cutting . . . the parent plant is 10x bigger and has yet to bloom!!!

Nichole,
It's so cute!

(Zone 1)

I had numerous Optimara Annabelle's and a couple of the Isabelle ... they both grew that way. I tried changing the lighting etc., they just were wannabe palm trees! LOL.

Nichole, I love that Tiny Wood Trail ... so cute! Isn't it something, a little cutting that is blooming and large plant nada? I tell you, they have minds of their own!

I am really getting interested in those trailers! I haven't seen a photo of one I didn't like yet! LOL. Someday, if I get back into growing AV's and Gessie's I will try a trailer or two ... or three .... or

^_^ ^_^ ^_^

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

Three hundred...LOL

(Zone 1)

Whoa! Nope, I can't seem to handle 20 Gesneriads at once, and keep them all alive!

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

When you decide to try trailers again, just let me know!

(Zone 1)

Thank you Nichole! I will definitely post an interest on the forum if I ever get to that point.

I have a Waterfall baby getting ready to open it's first bloom so we can compare and decide on that one.

Mid, ID(Zone 3b)

OK Susan here I go with a few names for you based on the streps I have knowledge of....

#1 I don't know that one but it sure is pretty!
#2 I agree, Inky Fingers, Looks just like mine that is blooming right now.
#3 Bristol's Tractor Beam (and I think I sent you one last summer??)
#4 I say it is Jealous Heart. I have one from Raingazer and it's in bloom and looks like yours!

So do any of those names ring a bell with streps you know you've had?

Lin I love that Palm Tree AV, think you should start the trend, it is cool looking! ^_^

Gold Leaf I have three young Bristol's Zapped plants grown from leaf and they are all blooming true, you have to love the Bristol's for that reason among many!

Edited to say... Hillbilly Gran that girl foliage trailer is to die for!!

Brenda,
Yes they do and thank you... Those are the names Jim said he thought they were... Ok going to take a few pictures and come back with pictures and maybe you could name a few more...LOL... Thank you so much.
Hugs,
Susan

Mid, ID(Zone 3b)

Glad my answers agreed with the expert Susan!! I'd like to see your others...

Star of Bethlehem is my very favorite episcia bloom!! And a plant I can't grow well to save my life! Has to be in a terrarium to even think of blooming for me. I struggle with episcias and have about given up except for a couple of hangers on'ers. ^_^ Nice job with yours Gran.

I have several new strep blooms I'm enjoying .... this one is called Butter Blues, me and my yellows.....

edited to say that in person the throats are very yellow in these!

~Brenda
