Jo Ann, did your granddaughter do that? Looks like something I would've done as a kid, giggling the whole time. One time, I was staying over at a friend's house while her parents had a party. My friend and I went around to each car and stuck a few pieces of gravel in the hub caps of all the cars. When the party was over, and everyone left, half the guests came back, saying there was something wrong with their car, and could they use the phone! Bah ha ha ha!!! Oh, did we get in trouble for that. I claim innocence. I guess it's better than motor oil on your car.
Coffee Break # 5 - One week to daylight savings!
We think her friends did it. She will be cleanup crew of course.
over-involved parents who have a hard time seperating to let their kids deal with life's ups & downs. AKA helicopter parents
I was joking Dave. I assumed you meant hovering, not hoovering!
Man - how bad/sad is this?

Ohio has been very hard hit with the loss of manufacturing jobs. I think one of the most appealing characteristics is 'benefits'. DD works part time so does not have health insurance. Her husband does si that is fine, but GS goes off their insurance at the end of the month as he turns 19. He did not care for his semester at community college so now works seasonally at a warehouse so is no longer covered as a student.
irish - mass law has changed and he does not need to be in college to be covered i believe. as long as he does not have a full time job. not positive on this though
germination update... woo hoo... one small tray of petunias looks punky though... doesn't look like too many are going to make it... didn't grab the soil good enough

Man! How many pots do you usually end up with, Allison?
Will you be posting/journaling pictures of the little seedlings' progress?
For anyone who has customized an iGoogle page, there are some garden photo 'gadgets' you can add.
Here's my current 'theme'.

I never actually counted how many containers I have... I will just say lots Victor
sure I can take some photos... the cuttings are doing really well along with all these seeds... to my surprise the sweet potato vines look crummy ... but I can see some of them are doing ok... still plenty of time time to make new cuttings off those that did ... other than those a 1/2 tray of petunias and 1/2 tray of angelonia not doing good... and my mistake... the trays were getting too much sun though the window and I wasn't thinking about it... still plenty of them to get new ones off of
like the theme Victor... nice choice
wha he lives in Ohio, he is working, but seasonal jobs don't have benefits--needs to train for something, thinking automotive.
Its SPRING

Good morning
Nice wake-up dont cha think?
yes that was... thanks
and I am grumbling around... so I needed that.. I worked outside for a while yesterday.. and my ankle is hurting already.. not bad... but getting me ready for things to come... going around on these slopes really does kill me... and slipping in the mud yesterday a dozen times ... I am sure that didn't help much either... so it's good it will be raining today ... keep my butt in a chair
I realezed I cant garden on a slope.
Our garden legs arent used to the stretching and bending yet.
like a dope I did not put my brace on... so it's partly my fault... I know better
I just get so caught up with plans and plants I forget to eat,not good for a diabetic.
Somehow we survive our own short commings
yes we do... I too forget to eat ... get so into what you are doing... next thing I know it's 3:00
??
been playing with seeds
just have to keep busy... or I will go nuts as well
Quite a bit of melting over night--trying to get back to where it was before the last snowstorm. Weatherman mumbling about snow--he's GOT to be lidding.

I think NOT
I'm so glad I cancelled my order.
it might be the same if that's a tiny plug pot in their photo... LOL
Wow, Allison! I watched your slide show and I am so impressed with how great your seedlings all look. You must have your lighting just perfect, as well as your soil moisture,etc.. That's so exciting!
the big ones are all the cuttings from NC farms... the seedlings are ity bity still.. except the osteospermum which look goofy until i pinch them... and they just get better once outside... they do that every year
edit -- I forgot about the dahlia & geranium... LOL.. they are the biggest
